Just ok. Croissant was more like bread :(

This is a super popular bakery in Coppenhagen! I see it everywhere and because everything always looked so good and delicious, I decided to pop in and try a few items. I asked the lady behind the counter what she would recommend, she told me that they are very popular for the cinnamon bread. I also asked her about some other treats they had displayed and found them all to be very intriguing! Ultimately I went the familiar route and ordered a cinnamon bread with a croissant I had my eye on. The cinnamon bread was pretty good, but when I had asked for it to be warmed, she assured me that I would enjoy it as is. I took a bite and think it would have been better warm. The croissant looked so fluffy and soft. But when I bit into it, I am sad to report that it was everything but crispy. Super soft, stale and did not give you that buttery croissant texture you want. Ultimately it was just ok. Good place to go if you're in a pinch, but don't expect anything spectacular.

I was looking for a different bakery and ended up at this one by accident! Lucky for me! I couldn't decide what to get so I asked what was the most popular/favorite. The workers here are super nice to a tourist :) I went with a strawberry tarte and it was unbelievable! We don't get strawberries quite this tasty in the US. Wish I hadn't been alone so I could have shared another item with someone. Very much recommend and it was not busy so it is a nice place to relax.

Small hot chocolate and chocolate cinnamon bun

This place is excellent, and a must-visit. I only had a 7-hour layover in Copenhagen, but I was told that I needed to try this place, and it was well worth my time! I ordered a small hot chocolate and a chocolate-topped cinnamon bun. The hot chocolate was warm and rich, and was not overly sweet, which is a good thing. The cinnamon bun was light, flaky and crispy. I liked it so much that I brought an extra one back to my country with me as hand luggage. The bakery itself was very clean and had a welcoming atmosphere. Moreover, the staff was super friendly, and one staff member even let me borrow her phone charger while I had my dessert. I left the bakery feeling full, warm and happy. Thank you!

    Mmmmmm...Danish danishes!

Was lucky enough to have this place literally across the street from our airbnb. We got pastries and coffee here almost every day. I don't even know half of what I had since I never thought to bring a camera and I sure as heck wasn't going to remember, but every single thing was amazing. Very friendly service by all the counter staff as well.

    Yummy!

My favorite bakery/cafe in Copenhagen and its everywhere! Anything with marzipan is, of course, delicious. The staff are friendly and the locations are usually pretty clean. Their soup and salad lunch deal is great and their sandwiches are yummy.

Excellent. Multiple locations. Best in CPH. Know what you are ordering. Ask if you don't know. English is spoken.

It feels warm,…read morewelcoming, and just a little offbeat in the best way, with cozy mismatched furniture and walls full of charm. I ordered a cappuccino and a breakfast sandwich on dark bread. The cappuccino was smooth and rich with just the right amount of foam, while the sandwich was hearty and delicious -- simple but satisfying, with that nutty Danish dark bread that makes all the difference. What stood out most was the atmosphere. The staff are genuinely friendly and it feels more like visiting a local friend's kitchen than a café. Prices are fair for the city, and you can take your time without feeling rushed. If you're looking for a spot that feels authentic and relaxed rather than polished or touristy, this is it. Highly recommended for a laid-back breakfast or coffee break.

I will be back a few more times before returning home to San Francisco. TUSIND TAK, Next Door Café!

At the Torvehallern market, we stumbled accross this coffee bar. Although I didn't try the coffee…read morebecause I don't usually drink coffee, everyone seemed to appreciate and it smelled divine. And I did try something, a tiramisu muffin. And man was it good, I loved it ! Plus it was pretty cheap which is cool in Copenhagen haha.

It's not a fantastic place or anything, but it's not bad either…read more First of all, there was only 1 person working there, and that just wasn't enough considering that the place can get busy depending on what time you're there. It's located inside Arnold Busck which is a definite plus because well... books! But that also means that sometimes it gets a little noisy, especially when the door to the street is opened up. The prices are too high for the quality in my opinion. A hot chocolate was almost as much as a hot chocolate in Baresso, and whilst it at first sip was heavenly, the whipped cream-taste quickly faded away and then it was just so... ordinary. Tasted like something I could've made at home. Now, this all might sound really negative so you might be wondering "Natacha, why 3 stars then?" Well, I'll tell you. They get an extra star purely because of their DELICIOUS brownies. I'm serious, they basically melt on your tongue and the taste, oh the taste! Don't go in here expecting a lot. From my experience, don't actually order anything. Just buy a brownie. Buy a brownie and enjoy a little piece of heaven.

I found this place thanks to Yelp…read more I took my small Yelp team (4ppl) to give it to try. I'm writing a review on behalf whole team. Place was surprisingly smaller than I tought. Anyway, nice simple design with some nice small details. We went there about 10. We ordered breakfast. All together we tried to order every single item from the breakfast (brunch) menu. Basically all items were very tasty and original. I loved the Matcha bowl (Matcha is a special green tea powder and here it was mixed with puréed avocado, banana, cashew milk and vanilla). Really unique. I'm always on the hunt for something unique and I found it in here. Added value in my perspective! So I recommend that you should definitely try that. I would like to mention also the healthy apple cake, which is not really apple cake at all, but it tasted excellent and I'm happy they didn't use too much sweetener. For a drink, we all ordered a flat white coffee. It was perfectly done and they add little art on the top. 4 coffees, 4 perfect hearts. It show a confident barista hand. Speaking about service- all servers were all very friendly, efficient and they perfectly knew their product. That's the key of success. My wish for them is to have this business on some very busy street, so they will always have the place full. Thx for reading this and have a nice Yelpy day.

Working in Østerbro has its advantages, you get to meet your friends during the short lunch time…read moreand for that sake we choose this place because it's very close to my work place. Djuus is one of those "healthy" cafe that focus on JUICE. Well, you know that already. They sell their own freshly pressed juice that taste really good. They do have juice-diet for you as well if you want to try the "going about your day without meal but only juice" kind of thing. They apparently do brunch as well. My friend and I chose the rye bread sandwich despite my initial interest of choosing the brunch menu (it was still available at that time) because rye sandwich would make you feel full better, the staff said - Okay, so she says. My rye bread sandwich was with tuna, it was good but it's not like something that I couldn't make myself at home (okay, maybe I wouldn't have any rye bread at home anyway), but nothing fantastic. The juice on the other hand was fantastic, so they did live up to their name, being juice pusher. Service was super friendly, so that also counts. It's one of those nice cozy cafe, but I wouldn't come here for lunch. This big bottomless pit of a stomach needs something more than just rye bread sandwich!
