I have no idea what these are but they live in my dreams. I CRAVE them consistently and would travel back to Copenhagen just for these pastries. They are SO GOOD! 10000 out of 10 best pastry of my life.

I made a point of trying as many cardamom buns while I was in Copenhagen and I think this was my favorite! It also helped that as I was waiting in line, they put down a fresh tray, so they were perfectly warm. Like the other reviews said, it is a small space, but I just took my pastries to go and ate while walking around the city which was perfect.

Oh the pastries were so good here! There will be a line when you arrive. Luckily, we waited about 15 minutes on the line on a Saturday morning. We got four pastries: cinnamon roll, raspberry topping pastry, cardamom bun, and almond croissant. The bakery is quite small tho so we just got everything to go. I enjoyed the cinnamon roll and cardamom bun a lot. We'll definitely visit again to try other pastries.

MY ABSOLUTELY FAVORITE BAKERY IN COPENHAGEN. go early in the morning before they run out. the service was very fast and organized as they do usually have a line. i got two of their berry pastries and they were mouth watering. the pastry was so flaky and fluffy. the tart was delicious and hit all the right spots.

Known for their classic pastries, especially the Cinnamon Snail - it was quite dense and was the perfect not too sweet flavor profile. They had many other pastries that I wish I could've tried - be prepared to wait in a line for a little bit!

This is one of the oldest bakeries in Copenhagen, and I couldn't leave Denmark trying trying a Danish pastry before leaving. So naturally, my friend I came here twice during our short stay. Everyone else in Copenhagen knows what's up because this place was crowded and had a small line a couple hours after opening. If you wait till noon, you'll be left with cinnamon rolls (which is still a fantastic option). The pastries here are phenomenal - warm, soft, perfectly sweet. Absolutely worth a transatlantic flight over.

Sankt Peders Bageri is the oldest bakery in CPH. This bakery is a must visit. They have the best Spandauer imo. It was so good that I kept coming a few times during my stay. They have a couple small tables if you want to sit down to enjoy your bakeries and have a cup of hot coffee. Service was pleasant. I always came when they first opened at 7:30am but as soon as i sat down, there was already a long line outside the door.

So glad I came here after a friend recommended it! The pastries were incredible! Definitely worth it to stop by. Hope you beat the crowds BUT also get variety!

I loved this bakery! The girls were so kind and recommended what we should try as travelers! They had such a variety! I had the cinnamon bun twist and it was so so yummy! We only had to wait in line for a few minutes, but all the indoor seating was taken as there are only 3-4 tables. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice bakery!

Ambiance: 3/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5 This place definitely deserves all of the hype it receives! I came on a weekday morning and was surprised to have to wait in a line but luckily it went by quick. The space itself is quite small with only a few tables available so I would say it's best to be prepared to get some goodies for takeaway in case you can't snag a table. Once I got to the front of the line I was overwhelmed with all of the delicious goodies they had to offer so I went with the recommendation of the lady working at the front and was so glad! The pastry was warm and perfectly soft, I still dream about it to this day. I can't wait to go back!

I came here with 2 other friends on a wednesday morning around 10am and there was no line! We were also able to secure seating almost immediately (it's pretty small inside). I ordered a pistachio cream pastry and a cardamom bun and they were both pretty good but the pistachio cream definitely got a little much towards the end. I would recommend splitting this one with someone. The cardamom bun was less fragrant than the Juno Bakery version but it was softer and tasted more flavorful!

The oldest bakery in Copenhagen, of course I had to see what the hype is about. This is the first place we went to after reaching the city, in the afternoon, and although it was empty when we arrived, it became crowded shortly after. The space is quite small but as we were there earlier than others, we had the couch area to ourselves. They have so many options on display so we asked the baker to recommend their most popular items and they did good! We tried their cinnamon rolls, cardamom and pistachio buns and holy moly, they were delicious. It lived up to my expectations, and more! The location of this bakery is also perfect. The street where it is located has beautiful colorful houses.

The best bageri in the city we tried. Part of it was due to the variety of pastries too (many others had a lot of similar options). Everything we tried was flaky, not overly sweet, and just the right amount of filling + bread. Coffees were good too. The inside has several small seats - doesn't look like they ever clean the place. Pastry flakes everywhere, but ignore that and focus on the delicious pastries!

I have no idea what the white stuff inside it is, but it's fantastic. The ham and cheese panini type sandwich was also very good. The chocolate cinnamon roll slice wasn't my favorite, other bakeries did it better, but everything else was great. Staff was very friendly. You do have to pay for a larger bag if you need it. We purchased about $35 worth of pantries that came in a box plus 4 small bags so it was a bit silly a larger bag wasn't just included.

We were not disappointed with our initial visit and intend to visit several times more during our stay. What's so great? Fresh and expertly made baked goods in an attractive cafe, served by pleasant people. I made point to pace myself as I enjoyed pastry and latte, taking in the relaxing atmosphere. We were not alone in our experience. Many people, who appeared to be on their way to work, stopped in for baked goods at a regular pace. I cannot recall what I ate, but I'm certain that you will not be disappointed with anything. *Side note: don't attempt to use the free check in item. They say it's 3 years old and acted offended by my asking.

The seating is first come, first serve and you order at the bar like most cafes in Denmark. The ambiance was so cozy. We ordered a cafe latte and a mocha latte. And actually more the size of normal burgers in the US so I was pleasantly surprised. The burgers came with the softest and tastiest potatoes I've ever had. The mushroom frittata (I think it was) was absolutely delish- no rubbery egg taste, lovely mushies. I was worried about the carrot salad because it looked like it was tossed in something creamy, but it was quite good. This also included a really rich and thick tomato soup, and a small toast w/ goat cheese and a rhubarb jam, and some sweet treat- I'm guessing made with mascarpone. Hubbies sandwiches were good, though I've never seen mushrooms in a chicken salad before (luckily they were big enough for him to pick out so I got those too). Only reason to dong them a Star was due to the chaotic way and wait to order. There was one queue downstairs and two people intermittently taken orders. But, the people taking the orders also were making fancy coffee drinks and doing other stuff, so it was very staccato. When we were next in line, both people ringing people up went missing for quite a few minutes and then a newcomer went straight over to the 2nd register to ask a question, as if the people in the longer queue weren't waiting, and because the guys behind the counter were so all over the place they couldn't keep track of that. Then it turns out if you want to sit upstairs, you have to order up there, so off we went to wait in another queue. After you order, you take a number to your table and we thought they forgot about us, and asked a bus boy to check in for us and he returned with our food. Oy! Also: They do have English menus on request, but not typically on the table. Excellent food and ambience!

Plus -- beautiful views of the water! Of the pastries I've tried, I liked the cinnamon roll and a vanilla custard danish (I'll include a picture) the best. The cardamom roll is good, but not my favorite we've had. It tasted like it had a bit of orange in it, which was fun, but it was a little softer than I personally prefer. Now, I was thinking that maybe it had swirls of chocolate to maybe some kind of cream.....no. This is literally bread with chocolate chips. And it does NOT have 3 kinds of chocolate. And it barely even has any chocolate. It's called a CHOCOLATE BUN so where's the chocolate????? Extremely disappointed especially cause I spent $4.52 USD on this trash.
