Hart Electrical Services has done work two times at my house in the last two months and done a great job both times. First, Ely and Jaime added LED dimmer switches and replaced 12 LED bulbs in my den. They also added new under-cabinet lights in the kitchen and new overhead lights in the laundry room and in a closet. They also changed a few bulbs in tricky locations that I couldn't reach. They were competent, courteous, professional, and hard-working. About a month later, Jose and Jose replaced 9 outdoor lanterns for us. They were also wonderful, making sure the dusk-to-dawn features were working and that everything was done properly. Have used Hart Electrical Services in the past for routine electrical maintenance but today we had a very difficult electrical issue at a commercial location. Eli was our technician who arrived early, was very good at communicating progress in his troubleshooting. After doing an outstanding job of panel to multiple room checks and addressing issues as he went, he found the ultimate problem that impacted several work areas. His going the extra mile in diagnosis as well as professional knowledge brought our location back online in just a matter of a few hours and saved us $$$. Wish I could've left a better review. The work completed was professional and well executed... when it was done. Unfortunately when it came to billing, it was never made clear that they charge per hour/per electrician. You also have no idea how many men they will be sending to the job. They sent 3 the first day and forgot to label my circuit breaker however installed one hanging light fixture and 3 wall switches They sent 2 individuals the second day to label the breaker and install 5 wall switches. My advice was given to them, make it clear you charge per hour and per electrician and state how many you will be sending to complete the work. I was charged $1250 to change 8 wall switches, label a breaker and install a light fixture... (i provided all hardware) After some back and forth, they knocked off 1 hour of labor. Have had this company install a dedicated garage circuit for a second fridge and a generator inlet and interlock to have a backup ready for extended power outages. Both projects were easy to schedule and completed professionally within the estimated time. David is awesome - he came to fix our outlets in our kitchen with no power and he quickly diagnosed it as a bad GFCI outlet, which he quickly replaced. Because it was such a quick fix, he asked if he could do anything else to fill up the hour (super nice!). He ended up fixing a smart switch I couldn't figure out, ordered me a new part for my outside electrical box, and gave me a tip on my pool pump wiring. It is very difficult to get an electrician to even show up for an estimate in Austin when permitting is involved. Blame The City for that. I had several no shows and others that never followed up with an estimate. Hart not only showed up when they said they would, but followed up with a very reasonable estimate.
