So, I went to this office for an annual check up and for a follow up service about a week and a half after. Both times I was pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of the appointment and the professionalism of the staff. My first appointment was with Miwako, the Certified Nurse and Mid-wife. She was very patient in explaining everything and was very knowledgeable about all the relevant concerns that I had. The initial appointment lasted about 30-35 minutes. I left feeling confident and I received a follow up date within the following week. Upon booking my follow up appointment I was advised about the amount that would be due for the copayment when I returned. That was a major plus for me! I like being prepared. When I returned for my follow up visit I waited about 10-15 minutes prior to being seen. There were a few appointments ahead of me, but everyone seemed to be sent to their appropriate practitioners and it seemed like a well oiled machine. The only downside to the experience was being recommended for a procedure/ exam that I opted not to have. Other than that, I would recommend Miwako for the exam and the ultrasound services. The staff are caring and very good at being relatable to the people they serve and making the services accessible. Way to go!

I arrived to find the Dr wasn't there, she'd given birth two days prior. No call to me cancelling the appointment. No real apology from the staff. They claimed they'd called to tell me, but I received no call or message. Ummm, if that were the case, would I have shown up for the appointment? Note on the wall of the office said, $50 change for appointments cancelled within 24 hrs. I asked for my $50. Office staff said, "Sorry, it doesn't work that way. " They wanted to rebook me for October. Nah, I'll find an office that respects it's customers..

The staff is always laughing and very productive - I get scheduled asap and when i arrive I barely have time to chose a magazine and sit down before my name is called. I see Dr. Kara Keaton - She is wonderful. Straightforward, just the right amount of concern, easygoing and empathetic. She performed a coposcopy/ cervical biopsy on me earlier this year and during the actual procedure we were joking and laughing -in between her preparing me for a pinch here and there. And I didn't have any of the negative symptoms one could expect after the procedure. Also, Dr. Keaton gives the most unobtrusive pap smear ever. EVER. It's mind-boggling. If you have a weirdly positioned cervix or you've really felt your pap in the past - book an appointment. I can't stress enough how I walk out of that office dazed from how euphemistic the whole experience was.

It's an Obstetrician and Gynecologist office with multiple locations; there are approximately 90 locations in Massachusetts and Connecticut. The offices has in office services such as mammograms, ultrasounds, and screenings. It's a huge network and a great asset to the community. From annual well women visits, pregnancy care, and menopausal care, they are a one stop shop. As a human and woman, it is my due diligence to take care of my health, for obvious reasons. I like to be proactive versus reactive. I called to book my annual visit and the next available appointment they had was 3 months out. This seems to be a common occurrence with getting appointments at doctor's offices here in CT. They will send you a link a few days prior to your appointment to fill out all your data and pay the copay. I did that and a day before the appointment, my appointment was cancelled because the doctor had to take the day off, last minute. I understand stuff happens so I called the office to reschedule. They had an appointment for me within the next two weeks but I needed a specific day due to childcare, that was another 2 months out. The day of the appointment came, the building was easy to find and parking was plentiful. The check in was quick and easy and everyone was friendly. The medical assistant took my vitals and etc. My provider was Kathleen Miller, MSN, APRN, C-EFM. She was very friendly, warm, knowledgeable, and thorough. There is an online portal to see your data and results after the appointment. Mammograms can also be done in the same office. Overall, aside from some minor scheduling issues, I really like this practice and feel comfortable going back for my annual visits.

I am writing this review to make prospective patients aware of a policy within this OB/GYN practice…read morethat many women may not realize exists unless they are asking questions. I need to have uterine polyps removed, a relatively routine gynecologic procedure. Because the procedure requires anesthesia, I contacted the office before scheduling an appointment to confirm that I would have an all-female surgical team. As a woman who will be unconscious, unclothed, and unable to advocate for myself during the procedure, this is an issue that is extremely important to me. Frankly, I would have assumed that this was the case for all patients to ensure their safety, comfort and dignity. The office later called me back, and I spoke with someone named Jocelyn. I was informed, in what I perceived to be a rather dismissive and condescending manner, that they could not guarantee that male staff members would not be involved in my care. When I expressed my concerns, I was told, "Well, they are medical professionals," as though that somehow eliminates the risks associated with a woman being unconscious, unclothed, and unable to defend herself. What was particularly troubling was that she took it a step further and told me hat my request for an all-female surgical team constituted "gender discrimination." I disagree. Requesting that I feel safe and comfortable while under anesthesia is not discrimination; it is a personal healthcare decision. Cases involving misconduct toward sedated or anesthetized patients have been well documented (and imagine what goes unreported!!) and every patient has the right to consider those realities when making decisions about their care. According to our own government (source CDC.org) 46% of women have experienced some type of sexual violence towards them. One would think that given 1 out of 2 of their patients has likely experienced something like this they would be prepared to field questions about how they are keeping women safe, but instead, it appears they are trying to bully them into submission by telling women it is "gender discrimination" to want to feel safe while unconscious. It is disappointing that, in 2026, a medical practice would appear more focused on discouraging these concerns than on reassuring patients and explaining the safeguards in place to protect vulnerable individuals during procedures. Patients deserve transparency about who may be involved in their care and should be able to ask questions about their safety without being dismissed or made to feel unreasonable for doing so. The fact that someone is a "medical professional" does not eliminate the possibility of misconduct. Unfortunately, there have been documented cases across the country involving inappropriate behavior toward sedated or anesthetized patients. While one hopes these occurrences are rare, but they do occur, and every patient has the right to make informed decisions about who will have access to their body while they are unconscious. Either way, women should be demanding more from their "women's healthcare" providers. Thankfully, I did find a provider that makes sure women are safe in such conditions, but clearly this office does not care and patients should be informed.

They knew for SEVEN months they were no longer in network. They knew ALL three times they rescheduled the appointment, they were no longer in network. The woman then said this was an oversight. This isn't an oversight, this is sloppy and unprofessional. This is wasting the time of a patient who was waiting for a consultation for a life altering surgery and having to start back from square one. This was a patient moving the appointment to accommodate the providers multiple times within a month. This is unacceptable, and I wonder just how many other patients received the same run around?
