They told me I would need to schedule 2 separate appointments because of her age and it "wasn't safe" to numb both sides of her mouth in one visit. She went today for the first visit and apparently the dentist decided to just get them both taken care of at the same time. When his assistant brought my daughter out to the waiting room she said "just keep an eye on her if she eats because her face is still numb". No word about having both filled. My daughter told me she felt that they filled both sides. My daughter said the dentist mentioned she would need a root canal. No one mentioned any of this to me. I have been going to this practice for a few years and always felt comfortable and informed. Today was not handled appropriately and I will be looking for a new practice moving forward.

They scheduled me with Dr. Goldenburg. He has a very calm demeanor and has a fantastic sense of humor. He always gets a laugh out of me with every visit...even when I have to get a shot of novacaine. A shot does not hurt me when Dr. Goldenburg does it. I am very comfortable with him and the entire staff! **shout out to Dr. G's assistant, Kayla-woooo** Recently, my tooth fell out, then another. Dr. Goldenburg said he was going to give me a "Hollywood Smile", and I'm 1 visit away from having it! I am not exaggerating when I say that I can't tell the real from the artificial! I couldn't be happier with the job that he and Kayla have done. Thank you!!! Dr Mark had me sedated but could not do the job because he said I would not calm down, or may have be having a reaction. That is the good thing because I still have me teeth & my original dentist was able to create a special crown/bridge that worked out fine. My problem is I am still stick with a $900. set of choppers that were never fitted, and no recourse to get my money back. The office of Mark Antonis has wonderful oral hygienists. They're gentle. My prior experience with…read moreothers, elsewhere, was horrible and I had been naive to think this was normal. It's not. i was going to a different dentist, in Emmaus, PA, where the oral hygienist essentially tortured me (I even have an injury on the root of a tooth from their hostile scaling technique, though there's no hope of getting their admission of it). I started scaling my own teeth to reduce this feeling of being brutalized at semiannual cleanings, and it made no difference at all. At Antonis' office, I said "Wow, you barely did anything with the hook". The hygienist admitted "you basically did all the work". This taught me that my other hygienist was not doing anything sensible and had only been scraping mindlessly. I'll never go back to them, but I WOULD go back to Antonis' people. I told the receptionists how impressed I was with the gentleness of Antonis' hygienists. The one receptionist said "Oh I know, I love them here!" She then told an oral hygienist anecdote of her own, from her own prior dentist. When she somewhat shyly complained about her hygienist, to the receptionist at her old dental office, the dentist happened to be within hearing distance and said "What? She's been warned before about that" and the dentist walked back and fired the woman on the spot. So let this be a lesson to you: if you're putting up with an oral hygienist abusing your mouth during cleanings, this is NOT normal. Try the hygienists at Mark Antonis' office. I had two different ones and both were gentle. Note, this was circa 2006. I don't know if the same hygienists are there today.

Dr. Bassill is a gave me a beautiful smile...Took me 6 visits to get a bridge with 2 crowns & 1…read morefaux tooth cemented in place. ..They gave me a 5 page health history form to fill out & were to review it with me & never did. 2nd visit Dr. Bassill was ready to start procedure & I asked why I didn't have an antibiotic prescribed. Dr. asked why. I had Open Heart By Pass surgery 3 mos. prior to appoint & office personnel never got a clearance from my surgeon. Couldn't do procedure & had to get clearance & go back... Asked for copy of procedures being done & office manager gave me copy of 15 codes. Had to call Aetna to find out what the codes were. 2 codes said I was to have build-up on crowns. My crowns were attached to bridge & no build-up. Aetna insurance called office manager & she told Aetna I was having 4 procedures. Last time I asked for another written description of procedures there were 18. Gave me wrong prescription for when having bridge cemented in. Allergic to prescription given & had taken it. Dr. gave me different prescrip. for next visit. Then another visit dental assist. asked if I took prescript. Told her nobody told me to. So they gave me med. from their office to take. Disgusted with dental assistants because neither one of them took the time to read my physical history & probably doesn't read anyone elses because they don't care. You just wonder how many patients had dental procedures & no clearence, had gotten infection & died....Please don't go to this dentist. His personel don't know what they are doing.
