They genuinely seem to care…read moreabout their patients as they addressed every concern I had, explained everything they were looking for as they went along and why, and made sure I understood what was going on with my eye health and the treatment options. While I don't have cataracts, it sounds like Dr. Gounder does cataract monitoring and surgeries for them and REALLY enjoys doing so (he was very excited talking about it). It is rare to see a doctor so happy and care so much about his job -- I would definitely recommend coming here if you want a doctor that takes the time to listen!

She made an appt but put it in Shadyside where I can't get to, then scheduled it at Mercy on the 30th when it sounded like she said the 13th and I can't do the 30th. I went on the app and cancelled in disgust!!! Do better, UPMC.

Does not deal well with patients who have limited abilities…read more Waited 90 minutes AFTER scheduled appointment before being seen by assisting staff who new nothing of the patients's history. Then waited longer before doctor came in. Nurse brought 2 student nurses in and explained in detail what instruments and how they would be used in front of patient who was already worried about procedure. Remember the patient has limited IQ. Then took a private call on phone as, don't really care where she's having dinner. Appointment was over 3 hours long and actual time of being seen or heard was less than 30 minutes.
