We had a beautiful, maybe 100-yr old swamp maple tree in the front yard. On his last annual visit, Ken said it was okay although leaning a bit toward our house. Then he took a closer look, moved plants around the trunk and saw its roots. "It's dying. The roots at the surface indicate it's searching for oxygen." He and his crew (truly a well-oiled machine as another reviewer said) came out and spent 5-6 hrs. cutting it down without damaging any plants in my heavily planted yard - amazing! He's an aerial acrobat in the bucket and the ground crew's rope work was flawless. All limbs and leaves were taken away.
