I considered dropping my rating to two stars since a couple of additional items have surfaced in the clean up. First thing my husband noticed was that all of the pieces were cut at an angle. That makes it more challenging to split the wood. He said he would have expected the cuts to be straight. The second is the length of the pieces. You would expect the tree to be cut in to pieces that are around 20" or a multiple of that because 20" is about the length of firewood. Instead they seem to be about 30". Too short to cut in half and too long to split as is. So my husband is having to cut 10" or so off the end. I went with this company because I wanted to go with someone who had a quality reputation and they are local to my area. I am very disappointed. Would NOT recommend. read more

Had trees trimmed on a hot breezy day recently with NWS declared elevated risk of fire and workers were smoking on the property. They worked from the roof to do some trimming. We found a discarded cigarette butt on the roof a week later. After they left we directed our sprinklers to the wooded bank they were working on and didn't leave the property until the rain came the following day. read more

I had Ace's Tree Service remove 6 trees and trim a couple others. There were several obstacles that were in close proximity they needed to avoid, my house, a fence, antenna tower, and shed. The work was very well done without incident. The price was very reasonable. Nice clean up when work was complete. Great to deal with! read more

Everything about the take down and removal went very smoothly. I took four quotes: Aces was the second best and the decision was based on a mix of price and on line reviews. Prompt on the estimate in terms of visit and report back. On time for the arrival on the day. Gave useful information how one prices a tree felling exercise. Executed very well despite challenges on tree size, proximity to a house and roping and cleaned up very well. A local competitor tried to put me off Aces, glad I persisted. had them come out to cut back a tree that come over my fence and my property line. They were doing fine til the neighbor come out and complained. Then it was like he was working for them?????????? I paid, wish I have went with someone else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is our second time using Ace's, the first time being 5 years ago. Just as they did 5 years ago, Ace's once again went above and beyond. Punctual (even in the blazing heat wave we've been having) and did fantastic work. They took down a precariously hanging tree that was threatening our neighbor's house with a skill you don't often see, stacked up the logs into our existing wood pile, chipped the excess branches and debris, and cleaned it up so well that were it not for the very low cut stump, you'd never know a tree had been there in the first place. And all at a price that was far more competitive than the 5 other quotes we had gotten. (We won't be needing to bother to shop around the next time we need to use them. Their consistency over the span of 5 years speaks volumes.) Cannot recommend them any more strongly. If you're shopping around for quotes, make sure they're on your list or you'll regret it. read more

Not the company it once was. We hired Aces years ago to trim the mature trees in our yard. The company was prompt, professional and reasonably priced. Most recently, we hired them to remove a few dead trees, do maintenance trimming including the removal of branches overhanging the roof of our home. As expected, they did a good job with the dead trees and most of the trimming, but did not finish the job with the branches over the roof. We paid the full price for the job and accepted their word that they would return to finish the job and clean our gutters. The gutter cleaning was something we had to postpone due to unanticipated expenses, but, despite assurances via several phone conversations that they would be out to finish the original job, 4 months later, it is still not done. They're a much smaller company now, and we are evidently not a priority despite paying for work never performed. Didn't expect this treatment as a repeat customer! read more

Woke up to find a tree in the front yard down due to an ice storm the night before. I called Ace's at 8:30am. They were at my house within an hour to give me an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable. The next morning they came to the house and removed the tree in less than two hours. Fantastic customer service, reasonable prices, and great work. Great family business. Everyone we met was extremely kind and professional. We emailed on Friday evening and heard back from them within an hour of making the inquiry. The owner, Terry, came out the next day to give a quote. The price was right and even better, they were able to start the job the very same day. Ace's Tree Service is the best! Family operated business that cares about their customers. Last year 2014 they cut down several trees in my backyard. They did a great job and at a great price. Ace's has been my tree service for years and I continue to use them because they do quality work at a reasonable price with absolute professionalism. It is truly amazing to watch Ross and Tim and Jeremy and Scott rope a large tree trunk or branch up in the air and then cut it off and then gently and safely lower it to the ground. They buck of the tree(s) and send the rest of the tree(s) thru the wood chipper and even clean-up the area taking all the waste with them. Teri and Christian work with you to make sound decisions on how to approach the task(s) at hand and work with you on the price.
