In need of a complete shingle roof replacement for my East Manatee County residence, I requested proposals from four (4) roofing contractors and conducted significant research of on-line reviews (Yelp, Google, BBB) before electing to engage Harvath. Not only were their on-line reviews stellar, I found their proposal (estimate) to be the most detailed compared to the others. Their large, continuously supervised crew, arrived on schedule and worked diligently on day one until dusk; completing full tear out of the old and 75% of the new install. Our new metal roof !! Steve and his crew were VERY professional in getting the bid to me, then keeping me informed throughout the process. They were in constant contact, giving updates and recommendations. They took well over a hundred pics of the process and showed all the work that was done. At completion, he provided a new wind mitigation report that saved me a lot on insurance premiums! Steve was very thorough - finding out that my roof wasn't even attached to the house walls - yikes! He supplied a subcontractor to take care of that issue and bring our house into compliance with current regulations - he also provided for repairs to be done after shingle removal, for the underlayment that showed some rotting and disrepair. We received several bids to do the roofing on our house. Harvath came in at a reasonable price, and they got the bid from us because of the work we observed them doing on several houses in our neighborhood. Aaron was the supervisor of the roofing crew. He did a great job of informing us of any changes or extra work that would be needed. The carpenters did a really nice job on replacing any water damaged wood we had, and they even improved on the soffit area near the roofline where rodents may enter an attic. They sent us a thumb drive showing areas that needed wood replaced as assurance of what was done. They arrived on time, worked all day and completed our roof in two days. Not only did Harvard come in with one of the lowest estimates, but they also gave the most details on how the job would be done and obviously cared about doing it right.
