Greens were in terrible condition , ball marks everywhere , cut so long they rolled so slow , place is supposed to be #1 rated course in WNY but it was in rough shape for middle of summer. We payed for 18 holes , but pace of play was so slow we only played 9 before dark , asked for rain check for other 9 , instead of giving us rain check they gave us 10 dollars back . Drove an hour to play here but couldn't finish because of 2 slow 4 somes in front of us. Will definitely not be going back . Layout was great , views are amazing , greens were destroyed , no Marshall to keep things moving . Whoever came up with the rain check system deserves money to be taken from his pocket. read more

This is one of the best courses in WNY hands down. It's worth the price of admission as it can be more on the expensive side. The course is as beautiful as it is challenging. I try to play here around once per year and having great rounds keeps me coming back. Though the course is challenging, it's has never made me dislike playing there. This has nothing to do with the course and everything to do with the driving range. An amazing driving range, but it's set up East to West. So after work when you want to hit balls you're hitting them into the setting sun. What's the point of a practice range if you can't see what your ball is doing after you hit it???Absolutely terrible architect mishap. Look forward to playing the course, but never go to the range after 5 o'clock. read more

I have been playing this course since it opened. The landscape is fantastic. The groundskeeping team has done an amazing job keeping the course in great shape. After 4 pm during the week, 18 holes with a cart is only $29, $25 for nine. Since the new ownership, construction on the property has been substantial. A new clubhouse has been built along with a full service bar and restaurant called Rooth's Sky Lite. The menu is quite extensive. They serve breakfast all day, which is great. The rest of the menu is standard pub fare such as burgers, wraps and chicken wings. As for drinks, the bar has a full liquor license. The beer selection is standard domestic and imports. They offer a bucket of five beers for $12. There are some craft beers such as Southern Tier IPA, Sierra Nevada pale ale and Magic Hat #9. The food was good and the ambience was fitting for a golf course. All in all, the golf is great and the addition of the bar and restaurant improves the full experience. read more

Harvest Hill is the more pricey upscale option for local public golf courses but it totally delivers. A very challenging course that can be really tough on you if you don't stay on the fairway. Conditions are always excellent. Greens like glass compared to other courses and the fairways here are like a Buffalo Olmsted park course green. Considering the price here I usually only visit 3-4 times a season. But I always have a blast. read more

I have not played golf here - only eaten twice & I ate twice as I wanted to write a good review. Now, both times we went to go eat were on a goregous Friday summer night, and they had live music. The first time the bartender was so nice and set up a new table for us on the patio where we could sit... and we did sit for a long time without menus or an acknowledgement from a server. Food took forever, and was cold when it came out. Second time around - we waved down a waitress and she looked at us and then said "it's not my table" and walked away. The view and location is amazing but go with patience and dont expect to get what you ordered the way you want it or on time. There is so much potential for this restaurant they just need some service help. Also - it's all first come first serve seating. Don't wait in line - it just builds up with other patrons who don't really know why they are in line as there isn't a host stand. read more

First off, let me say it's beautiful scenery. Come here often for drinks and sunset. Tonight was a disappointment at the bar. Ordered a vodka soda, at $7. Second one was charged $8. When I asked another bartender the change in cost of the vodka and soda I ordered, she said it was $5. What?, three different prices??? So they said when you order it on the rocks it's $3 more. What??? $3 more for ice. Dollar difference between bartenders? Come on Ross Cellino, get your manager onboard to train your bartenders on pricing? They're not skimming you??? read more

For a nice day on the golf course. Harvest Hill is nice place to get a drink and a snack. The artichoke dip needs to be cut up more finer. It was good, artichoke were to big. Chicken sandwich was average. I give this place 4 stars read more

My friend and I tried the Harvest Hill restaurant yesterday what a disaster. We were seated on the patio and then proceeded to wait for over a half hour just to get our drink order when finally my friend had to flag down a waiter. It seemed like nobody had any idea what they were doing people were seated and immediately taken care of at the time they were seated. We finally decided to order food as soon as the waiter was going to take our drink order. We ordered cheeses burgers took over an hour to get our food and the waitress came back because the cheese we ordered blue cheese on one and provolone on the other were not in stock, the only cheese they had was American, ok but to wait to tell us told me that they hadn't started cooking our food. Poorly run course. Played three times and each time has been well over 5 hour rounds. Last time I had a 10:20 tee time and they sent us off the back 9 during the "club" championship. They told us it might be a 10 minute wait when we got done with the first nine holes to merge into the groups starrting on hole 1. It turned out to be well over 40 minutes. Add to that they let a group that came off after us, jump 3 groups after they complained. Not worth the drive, price or hassle. Go to Diamond Hawk, Arrowhead or Ivy Ridge for a better course and experience. read more

Played here on Saturday and had a good time. Pretty open course allows for some room for error, though I guess they let the grass grow nice and tall in the summer which makes for much harder to find your ball in the heather. Greens were pretty quick and must only get quicker as it gets drier over the summer. Fairways were pretty soft and well maintained. I'd play again here for sure. read more

I gave it a 2 because of the great layout but everything else is a 1 or less. The ownership and management should be ashamed. They have the ability to be a first class facility and yet they are cheeping out. 1. There is no sand on the cart so you can fill your and the gazillion divots, some 2" deep and a foot or more long. 2. The greens are hard as rocks, not sure why as they felt damp, possibly need aerated. 3. No ranger to keep play moving, the group in front of us was over two holes behind (on a Monday) and never offer to let us thru for 13 holes. 4. The menu at the turn is so 1987, people eat healthier now haw about a tuna sandwich offering, really. 5. We wont return unless things change for the positive read more

We were there yesterday for a golf tournament, I don't know where they got the bartender, she was nasty and down right lazy. I went in there through out the day to get a drink and it was like I was interrupting her, how dare I. The course it self was beautiful. The coolers on the carts were empty, and the bartender said there was no ice. The only employee that went above and beyond was the older guy with the white mustache. If I owned the place and some company had their tournament their I would bend over backwards to accomidate the guests and that didn't happen. Getting a cup of coffee was a chore we will not be back there again... read more

This course was awesome. Made a tee time and they actually stuck to it, unlike most courses. It is a well maintained course. You can tell they take great pride in the way their course looks. Afterwards, we decided to get beers and lunch in the clubhouse. Highly recommend the Firehouse burger. Extensive beer menu, something you wouldn't expect at a golf course. Probably one of the best public courses in WNY. The heather along the sides of the fairway made for some very challenging golf. My only complaint is not being better at golf so I could be successful at that course (shot a 105 which is actually good for me). Highly recommended golf course. read more

I had a tee off time on Saturday at 1:30. We drove up to the starter and she said we were 15-20 minutes behind because of the frost delay in the morning. That was ok with us and we actually only ended up 5 minutes behind. The play was the slowest I've ever encountered. I understand it was cart path only but this was ridiculous. We were a group of four, with a three in front of us. The group in front of us were playing from the tips and had no business doing so. We waited for them on every shot. To make things even worse we discovered half way through the round that there was a group of SIX playing in front of the threesome. No ranger in sight. We ended up finishing as it was becoming to be unplayable because of darkness and we had at least 5 or six groups behind us. For such a great course, still costing $54, and not have any control over the rate of play, it's sad. Our round timed out at 5 hours and 20 minutes. I really felt bad for all of the groups behind us that should have finished and didn't. read more

This course was overrated and overpriced. We played a round of 18 here a week ago for a work tournament. The course was kept decent, with nice greens that were hard to read. They claimed they "had the best greens in WNY". Just because they were challenging does not make them the best greens around. I was not very impressed with the rest of the course as most of it was extremely dry and yellow. To be fair, WNY has been hit with some drought-like conditions lately so they can't be all to blame. The starter was friendly and helpful, as was a course manager who guided us on the rules/instructions for our tournament. All was well until the 11th hole. You tee off and hit over a sand trap in which the green lies about 100 yards past the trap. The fairway goes to the left and then takes a 90 degree turn to the right, but you can easily hit straight to the green with a nice tee shot. However, there was 4 workers all with separate carts scattered in the middle, directly in front of the line to the hole. They did not budge as we were teeing off, or attempt to hide/duck. Ideally you would hit over them onto the green, but as golf is a mental game, any added distractions can destroy your shot. Of course one of our group members nailed one of their carts and the ball stopped on impact. We are not extremely serious golfers but we were playing a tournament and expected there not to be human hazards in the middle of our shots, not to mention him losing what would have been 50+ extra rolling yards had it not hit the cart. When we drove up and asked them what the heck was going on and why they didn't line their carts up together, they snorted "we have a job to do, it's part of golf". I have golfed for a while and NEVER had to deal with people carelessly working in the middle of a tee shot like that. It is definitely not "part of golf", especially for $63 a round!! I would expect nothing but the best for a price like that. I had just returned from Hawaii, where EVERYTHING is expensive, and was able to golf at some amazing courses that were not priced that high. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this course nor will I recommend it to any friends or family. read more

This is a pretty nice golf course, however I have left here on more than one occassion feeling pretty annoyed with the course rangers. While the pro shop staff and the young men that attend to the carts are very courteous, the course rangers are like nazis that will follow you around and bark at you about even the most trivial of perceived offenses. They are also quick to issue a 90-degree cart rule (and will give you shit about it if you're less than perfect), and cart path only rules for no apparent reason -- don't even think about driving your cart in the rough. Oh, and you can walk if you want to, but you'll still have to pay for the cart! $49.00 for a weekday greens fee! Golf gestapo. Who needs it? read more

This course is a great value for the money I think . During the week with a cart it's really a great value . The weekends are a bit more expensive but still the course quality is there , the greens are very good for all the play they get, and it moves well . The food and the restaurant service are ok . I wouldn't go to any public course expecting that to be any more then that. Go for the golf and you won't be disappointed . read more

One of the finest, if not the finest, golf course the area has to offer. A new clubhouse houses a nice restaurant that serves great food, and a pro shop. The adjoining patio area allows you to watch the approaching golfers on eighteen from a great vantage point. And the parking lot is now paved, which has been a source of criticism for some about the facility. The course itself is always in great shape and the holes are both challenging and interesting. What was once the nicest golf course you'd ever see without a clubhouse or a paved parking lot, is now the kind of place you might even want to linger at following a round just to soak in the atmosphere. And perhaps a cold beer. Fish sandwich with steak fries while watching the golf channel on one of the big screens was a great way to unwind following my round. Give this course a try, you will be pleasantly surprised. read more

Im strictly reviewing the leagues at harvest hill. the course is outstanding. Even after this hot summer it has been in great condition all year. Leagues however, IMO are poorly run. For the price you pay (around 35 for 9 holes) you get nothing that would be considered a perk for being in there league. technically it would be cheaper to just golf 9 holes there. No drink after 9, no deals on food. Nothing to say, this league is most expensive around but worth it cause of xyz. And don't bother asking a question to staff. If they do ever answer you(rare) when you get there no one would have told other staff what was going on. Again, course is great and why the 3 stars. But you definitely are paying for course. As far as the league and how its run is subpar. read more

We had a WONDERFUL dinner at Harvest Hill on a beautiful Monday evening. Most restaurants are closed Mondays but luckily this one wasn't!!! The food is very good and our server, Victoria, was a sweetie! I highly recommend stopping in for a lunch or dinner. read more

Beautiful course but poorly managed. Had a 3:40 tee time on a Friday, after a 2 hour and 15 minute front nine it took 45 minutes to play 10 and 11 walked off the course on 12. The problem is they offer a twilight rate which begins 2 hours before sunset and the gentleman in the pro shop told groups they could start on any hole they wanted so a number of groups started on 10. This was rather inconsiderate considering groups were still coming off the front. Eliminate the twilight rate or make those groups start on 1 tee like everyone else. read more
