I have been playing in Fox valley Country club since 2005. One of the most iconic and stunningly beautiful 18-hole, par 72 golf course in Western New York. Each hole provides a different experience and is a fun for both beginner and advanced level players. My first experience at Fox Valley was for my senior prom back in 2009. I remembered that it was beautiful, the food was good and we had a great time. When it was time for me to pick a location for my wedding, I happened to remember Fox Valley and my husband loved it, so we booked it! At first, I was a little frustrated with them. I'm a last minute planner, so we were lucky enough to book Fox Valley just under a year before our wedding. The first event planner went out on maternity leave and then decided not to return to work (completely understandable). Then, we were assigned a new planner and she quit and no one told us! I found out by sending her an email and getting a rejection email back. Finally, we got Nancy and she was the saving grace! After running into so many bumps in the beginning, Nancy really put us at ease. Her primary role was to help us figure out what happens at Fox Valley like the food, table settings, centerpieces and chair covers. She was kind enough to go a step further and offer recommendations for the best florist, DJ and more! Our wedding was October 28, 2017, so it was right around Halloween. I really wanted that fall feel, so I asked if there was a way that we could have Southern Tier Pumking on tap, and unfortunately the answer was a no. BUT, Nancy ordered a bunch of bottled Pumking and we had more than enough to last us all night. The food was perfect. The staff was so friendly. The view is beautiful and I truly cannot think of anything to complain about no matter how hard I try. I loved my wedding day so much that wish I could relive it every year! I only golfed here today and loved it. Challenging course with a lot of trees and narrow fairways. Well maintained and beautiful tee boxes. Some sand traps could use attention but for the cost to play there its not even an issue. This country club is open to the public for now and the rates are extremely favorable. I played a round of golf here last year on Memorial Day weekend and I honestly was not that impressed. A friend of mine and I had always talked about how bad we wanted to try to play Fox Valley. We had even talked about paying $150 to play in a tournament for charity there. When it became public last year, we immediately started trying to figure out when worked best for us to go play there. The course always looked so amazing and immaculate for the road when driving by and it was always such a tease driving by and knowing that the course is private. Let me just say, I honestly think the course is overrated. It's a nice course, but other courses in the area like Ivy Ridge are better and offer a way better round of golf for the same price. The people that worked at the course were really nice...however, others out playing the course were horrible to deal with, which is why I'm rating it 3 stars. I was originally thinking about 4 stars until I remembered the patrons. Many of them were giving my friend and I dirty looks like we shouldn't be at "their course." I could tell some were bitter about Fox Valley going public. We played with an older husband and wife that were members. The husband was most definitely bitter. The wife loved golf and was friendly towards my friend and I. The husband however, was so annoying. He was complaining non-stop about the course going public. On top of that, he was just an overall dick. My friend or myself would hit a shot and he'd be aggressively telling us to fix our divots while the ball is still in the air. At one point, I hit a shot and hadn't even finished my follow-through and he's telling me to fix my divot. I've played golf long enough and respect the game too much to not fix my divots or ball marks. He'd snicker or make some comment under his breath if my friend or myself hit a bad shot, so by the back nine we had enough and started doing the same thing to him. I beat the guy by a solid 15 strokes and my friend beat him by around 10. These are the types of people that ruin the game of golf and if they are that hurt about their course going public, maybe he should find a new course to be a member at. If it wasn't for people like this, I would've rated the course higher. But if you're going to play here, expect to get paired up with others and just hope they're not members. In a side note, I really liked how the course swapped out the flags on the pins for American flags for Memorial Day. read more

Played here for the first time today (since it's now public) Course was in decent shape. Fairways were good along with most greens (few burnt areas). The course needs some TLC. Cart paths have February sized pot holes. Get some bags of asphalt and patch them. The bunkers were just about all unplayable. There were too many "ground under repair" areas. Will be back but, damn, take care of this course. read more

Just had my Sister in Law's Bridal Shower here and it was amazing! Our guests raved about the venue, the food and the service, it was impeccable! Katie took so much time with me on the details of the shower and made me feel like she really cared! Everything was in place when we got there the morning of the event and looked exactly the way we had discussed! The Banquet Manager was always available for any questions and always happy to help. Can't say enough about this venue and the team- we'll definitely be back for more events! read more

Wow what a change from my original review. Over time the place seemed to fall apart. Food became spotty at best and no one seemed to be ever in the dining room. It was like a ghost town. So I cancelled membership, hoping to get some kind words of apology. Instead, they continued to bill me and when I asked for them to stop I received a condescending letter basically telling me off. read more

Recently went there for a wedding and the food was awful. Rare steak, Luke warm Rizzoto cake with no flavor and chicken with the fat and skin still on it :( total bummer. Staff didn't seem to know what was going on either. Only saving grace was the grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters. I think with a little tweaking to the menu and a bit more training fo the servers they could turn it around in no time. read more

Going to start this by saying I'm not a member I was there for a family party who also are not members but paid a lot of money to have a special birthday there. The food was pretty good the room was very nice the staff that served and took care of the room was amazing. However the rest of the staff was very snobby towards my kids and other kids with us and everyone else. We went to the "members only" section to get a drink from the bar, the only bar there period, and they were very unfriendly. I understand it's a private country club but when my family paid a lot of money for a party we should be treated with respect even if we were at the bar. We did not hang out there we just went in to grab a drink and go back to our party. Also the men's room looked lovely which I know because I have two young sons the women's bathroom had cracked floors and looks like crap compared to it. read more

My sister in law was married here last night and it was a great venue! Joelle, the manager, was very helpful. The only negative are the banquet chairs are ugly - but luckily, my sister in law ordered chair covers and it made a huge difference. There were three dinner options: a stuffed chicken, a filet mignon, or salmon. My hubby got the filet and said it was really great. Salmon was pretty good. Place had great views and the banquet room was very nice. We had 150 people in the room which felt like a great fit. I couldn't imagine 300 people in there, but they said that;s the max. read more

Played fox valley as a guest of a member last Saturday. Was charged 60 dollars for 18 holes. Course was in poor shape. Bunk ers were either flooded with water or filled with muddy ungroomed sand. Totally unacceptable for what they call a "private golf club". Greens and fairways were decent but nothing to get excited about. Far better public golf courses in the area that are in better shape and half the price. read more
