Since there were several cars driving around looking for a parking spot, I decided to take my items home instead of enjoying them in the car. The latte was good but the jalapeno cheddar scone was fantastic. The scone was scipy and while crumbly it was not dry. Now I know I should plan on a to-go order next time.

I'm not exactly sure which goods are baked in house and which are bought from a place but regardless it's great they offer such variety. Everything tasted really good. The cold salads sit in a case so you can look at them before ordering. I recommend the apple caramel cheesecake although it's not pictured. The prices for coffee are very good and I enjoy the styrofoam cup as it keeps drinks hot and cold. They also give very nice glasses/mugs if you choose to dine in and ask for your drinks to be prepared that way. The food is also priced pretty fairly, and the slices of cakes are a bit pricy at 7.99 but you get a very large portion.

I was lucky and snagged a parking space in front of the business; their parking is VERY limited and I'm surprised I didn't have to use a lot that was across a bridge. (Note that the bridge is right by the coffee shop, so it wouldn't have been a long trek at all.) I ordered a Butterscotch Latte and a Sausage, Biscuit & Egg breakfast sandwich; snagged a seat near the front of the store; and settled in for a relaxing break between my hikes. The coffee was excellent and the sandwich really hit the spot! While seating in the lower level is limited, I've learned reading other reviews that there is an outdoor patio and an upper level too. Their website mentions that they run a sundry market here too; however I didn't spend much time shopping in the interest of not stretching my wallet too far during my travels. I also didn't check out the wine cellar in the lower level. While this shop is little, it clearly has a lot to offer, and I am so glad I found it during my visit to Cuyahoga. I'd absolutely stop by again during future visits to the area...and I'd love to time my next visit so I can check out that wine cellar!

I enjoy the place and the staff, which is why it's frustrating that lately the sandwich station seems to be shut down so often because they're understaffed. If you're open and sandwiches are part of your menu, customers should be able to order them. Turning people away because the sandwich station is closed has to be costing the business money and disappointing regular customers. I'd hate to stop coming here, but if I can't count on being able to get my usual sandwich and coffee, I'll eventually have to find somewhere else. I hope management gets the staffing situation figured out because I really do like coming here.

The entrance did not say Primer, instead it had a Canvas sign. That was confusing. When we first arrived there were not many people but after about 30 minutes more people arrived. Unfortunately they don't sell that decaf at Heinen's so after hearing this was Carusos, I called the company to see if/where I could purchase some on my own. Upon speaking with one of the co-owners, I was told that I would be shipped some of that yummy coffee as a Christmas gift! People just don't do that kind of stuff anymore-especially during these difficult times. I received my decaf coffee today. They also sell random gifts and they are set up like a town from the 1800s. It's also a very laid-back location and it may be difficult to find someone to help you at times. I think it's worth a visit although they don't hide their political affiliations very well.
