The first visit was for a swollen, painful eyelid that appeared to be a stye. He was told it was eczema. He later saw his PCP, who confirmed that it was, in fact, a stye. He returned on a separate occasion after his ears had been clogged for about a week following snorkeling. He has a history of excessive earwax and felt that his ears were clogged. After examining him, Tiffany stated that he had zero earwax, that his eardrums were pearly white, and that he had a very obvious ear infection in his left ear with significant redness and swelling. This was despite the fact that he was experiencing no ear pain at all. He was prescribed antibiotic ear drops. The very next day, his hearing in his left ear was essentially gone, so he contacted his PCP. His doctor examined him and found that both ears were actually completely impacted with wax (to the point that his eardrums could not even be seen) and found no signs of an ear infection. His PCP removed all of the wax, and his symptoms resolved immediately. He could hear perfectly again, confirming that the ear drops were unnecessary. We understand that mistakes can happen, but having two separate conditions incorrectly diagnosed during two different visits was extremely concerning. What is especially frustrating is that both issues were correctly identified by his PCP shortly afterward. I do want to say that the staff here has always been very friendly and provided great customer service. Unfortunately, after these two experiences, we will not be returning and cannot recommend this urgent care to others. We hope the facility takes situations like this seriously and works to ensure patients receive accurate assessments and appropriate treatment.

I worked in healthcare for 30 years and would have sent her home to dress appropriately. Thankfully her NP at later visits was intelligent and educated. The business never considered how many appointments were authorized for me and just saw me continuously until they ran out and then told me to go get more so I could continue my care. The NP told me that the office would request PT for me then 3 weeks later when I called they said they I needed to do that which delayed my physical therapy by 6 weeks; that's a lot for a broken dominant hand wrist. I will never go back there.

Since then I have been bounced around with PA's and physical therapists. Seems no one stays working with Coastal very long. There is virtually no after care and appointments are continually being changed..as far as a month in advance for a PA! I need the opposite shoulder repaired next but I am thinking I won't go through this again especially with Coastal. Find another orthopedic Dr. if you can that is not connected to Coastal!!

I'm not a young kid, and I don't take pills to try to get high. I have had major back pain since I broke my hip with a very bad twisted type of break. When one has had a major trauma to their body, other problems can easily begin... such as arthritis, etc. Arthritis has been terrible, along with other pain producing problems. What I think might be sciatica (sorry for the spelling), began a while back, and is the worst pain I've ever experienced. Whether it's sciatica or something else, this pain makes it impossible to stand or walk more than a few steps without HAVING to sit down for a minute or so before being able to once again stand or walk. It continues happening, so often it makes it impossible to go anywhere, or even do much around the house. I got an appt. at this office with only doctor there (whose last name starts with G ), and waited nearly 3 weeks for the appt. They require their patients to fill out 15 or 16 pages of personal information, which I did, being completely honest. They also require their patients to arrive 30 minutes prior to their actual appt. time. Finally, the day of my appointment arrived, and of course there was a long time in the waiting room. After finally being led back into one of their little rooms, and answering again all the questions on their papers, the guy told me the doctor would be in in just a minute. A while more of waiting, and then a girl came in to tell me that Dr. G. didn't think I was a good fit for what he did!!!!!!!!! She couldn't really tell me why, except to say that he liked to use physical therapy, etc. in his practice. Well, why in the heck wasn't I told that when I called for the appt. 3 weeks ago? If so, I could have found another doctor, and not have wasted 3 weeks waiting for absolutely nothing!!!! So here I am, having waited 3 weeks for the appt. with a pain doctor whose job, I thought, was to try to alleviate his patient's pain... But he didn't think 'we were a good match', so now I have to start all over again to find a doctor, get an appt., and wait to see that doctor. I was unable to drive to my appt., so I had to get a friend to leave work to take me across town for this "non-appointment." Not only did I waste my own time,,, but I wasted the time of a good friend who should have been at work rather than sitting in a doctor's office for no reason! My friend heard a gentleman come out from his appt., talking about how unhappy he was with Doctor G. and his appt.... that he would never be back, and that he was going to find another doctor. What's happening with the Hippocratic Oath these days?
