Just shot our engagement shoot recently with Haskell Photography. Very fun couple, they took us to some cool scenery places and guided us through all the poses :) they were very easy to work with, professional and nice. I got to see a few sample photos from my engagement day and love them already. My husband already posted our review of Haskell, and I can add that out of all of the vendors we dealt with, this was the only disappointment. Two of the photos David took were overly touched up and looked photo-shopped, and the rest were unusable. There was a clear lack of attention to detail. He repeatedly asked me to send him "examples of photographers" or styles of photos I liked - which I thought was an odd request coming from someone who considers himself a professional in photography. We decided not to gamble with our wedding photos so we went with a husband and wife team of photographers who did an incredible job. David - FYI I've run your response to Zach as well as our contract by my lawyer, and you are not at liberty to share our photos without our consent. You yourself admitted the vineyard photos were "not your best work" and that you almost did not share them at all. The comment about us having issues with any other vendors is a blatant lie and further speaks to your lack of professionalism. read more

David Haskell has been taking my pictures for a few months now and I've had nothing but positive experiences. I was dealing with a few health and self asteem issues before I started with Haskell and I noticed a major difference in my eating patterns and confidence once I started recieving my pictures. Haskell and his team have been a great support system that has helped me come along way in such a short time. My photos are always top quality and never take more than a week or two before I can go into the studio and pick then up. Not only do my pictures turn out amazing but the staff that is present during my shoots are always super enthusiastic and encouraging which definitely helps to make me comfortable when talking or shooting with them. I wish we had been warned. In my opinion, David's artistic approach can best be described as just "press the burst button." In our engagement photos, David's rushed and careless spray and pray approach resulted in photos with closed eyes, awkward poses, and not a single photo that my fiancée and I were willing to share. Thank God we didn't use him for our wedding! We luckily found other photographers that carefully took each photo, had us pose naturally, and made us feel comfortable. For other couples needing photos, our advice would be to either: 1) look elsewhere or 2) to just buy a decent camera and ask a random stranger or two to take your photos. Either way, I think you'll get a better outcome. As an FYI, all of our other vendors were absolutely wonderful! We now stay in touch with our other photographers, our wedding planner, our wedding singer, the pianist, and our florist - they were all so nice and personable. I purchased an hour of studio time with Dave Haskell to take family portraits for my mother's Christmas present. He set a date and time. When we showed up, dressed and on time, the place was locked. He then proceeded to ignore my phone calls and text messages. Beware. I would never hire this person for an event. He is liable not to show up and never apologize. He has a groupon on right now. We used Haskell photography for our wedding in December of 2012. It is now June of 2015 and I am just getting the photos. I have sent many emails including my home address so that they could mail and disk with the full resolution pictures as promised. I was also promised 20 photos at "magazine quality" and there is not one that I would print and hand out to my family. Such a bad experience. I will edit this review if I receive the full res versions and some nice photos that one would consider putting on their living room wall. read more
