This was my first time going to an estate sale and I went because I saw the sign on the road, checked the website, and saw something that I definitely needed. The workers were nice/friendly and dealt with all the customers with a high level of customer service. If you need to have a sale I highly recommend this company. I happened to be there at the same time some immature adult was acting impatient and started to make a childish scene embarrassing himself and his wife. The owner handled it the best way she could in when dealing with this irate and immature adult. He said he would come to this site today, and it appears "Eran" did. I wanted to counter his post because I was there at the same time he made himself look like a fool. I am really very impressed with Hassle Free Estates, Raj, and his team. They were remarkably responsive to my initial outreach, with a detailed response for services and an offer to come on-site for an evaluation that same day. This was for the estate of my late father who was a bit of a hoarder, and I was concerned about the viability of even finding an estate sale company who would take on the task (lots and lots of work, without very much revenue potential). Raj put me at ease in explaining their process, which was accurately carried out - he had a team at the house day and night (sometimes people working in shifts 12 hours per day) inventorying and cataloging items and searching for treasures. They were also great about setting aside potentially important paperwork and sentimental items. They'd uncovered cash and coins and immediately secured these and notified me to collect them. The actual sale was professionally run, with team members at all the major junctures within the home and a centralized checkout counter which accepted credit cards as well as cash. The turnout was much better than I'd expected, which I can attribute to their advertising. We'd also generated a lot more cash than I'd anticipated. Really I cannot imagine this having been a better experience, and would happily recommend Hassle Free Estates to anyone needing such services. read more

We had the Hassle Free Estate Sales team hold a one weekend sale at a house we inherited this year. We are completely thrilled by the service they provided. They went way above and beyond our expectations. After a very pleasant initial phone call with Raj, we arranged a meeting with Lois and Peter who live near the house. They walked through the house taking notes and pictures, patiently explained the process to us, gave us helpful hints on what to throw out (nothing) and what to keep (everything). They really took the time to understand our needs. The sales was a huge success. Our property manager couldn't believe how much sold. I heard only wonderful things about how Lois and Peter conducted themselves during the sale - professional, well organized, fair. The neighbors were so impressed. After the sale, Lois coordinated a pickup by the local charity shop for the remaining items that didn't sell. I really appreciated that they also didn't want the semi-nice things to go to the dump. Over promised and under delivered. Would have been better off doing the sale myself and not forking over 36% of a nominal amount in total sales. 1. Very disorganized from the outset, couldn't keep the committed dates clear, had to somewhat micro manage progress. 2. Didn't follow through with a documented inventory of items and sale prices. 3. Poor advertising, didn't advertise in the town paper, street signs weren't up until moments before the sale 4. Wrongly advised to not throw out "junk" or broken items, told they would sell...NOT. 5. OVERPRICED Items - the prices were set too high to begin with. Many items were marked with prices higher than the original value?? Instructed them numerous times to price to sell/something is better than nothing and they didn't budge. Only 25% of items in the house sold. 6. Didn't follow through with having someone at the front door. Arrived at the home with the door wide open and had to search the house for Tracey. 7. Left the house in complete disarray, house looked ransacked. read more

We used Hassle Free Estate Sales in August when we listed our house for sale. We didn't want a lot of people coming through our house due to Covid concerns and Raj assured us that we wouldn't have to do that. He came to our house, grouped all of the items we wanted to sell, photographed them, and then uploaded them to his website. The online auction lasted for 6 days. In the first few days, the bids weren't that high and many items had no bids, but by the end of the auction, every item had a bid and the prices jumped dramatically. The items were picked up the day after the auction closed, during a 2-hour window, and the only people who entered our house were those who bought larger pieces of furniture. All of the smaller items were brought outside and into the garage for pickup and all went smoothly. Raj was recommended by a neighbor who had used him in May and we were very happy with everything. Any time I called or emailed him with questions, he got back to me very quickly. We would recommend him again. read more

As a frequent customer of estate sales, I just wanted to write a review of HFES from a customer's point of view. The staff is amazingly knowledgable and friendly about all the products that they sell at an estate sale. They are professional and courteous to the customers as well as the homeowners. I have found their prices to be reasonable and like most estate sale companies, their prices are flexible but are especially flexible on the last day of the sale. One of the best things that I like about HFES...they take major credit cards!!! I have continued to buy items at estate sales and Hassle Free is still one of my preferred estate sale companies I purchase items from. Raj and Tracy are amazing, as are their staff. If you enjoy your experiences at a sale run by Hassle Free, you should consider posting a review. Someone from a competing company used multiple addresses to post false claims against them and that is simply unfair. Yelp should really take those BS reviews down. With all the scumbags in the world looking to take advantage of the consumers, it is nice to have people like Raj and Tracy in the business looking out for us. Their is nothing Hassle Free about this company. If you want Hassles and a headache hire them. They are very unprofessional. They stiffed me on my second day of the estate sale because their sales on the first day went slow. I did not know they were not coming until after the sale begun and I called them to see where they were. It took almost a week and many phone calls to get my money back from Raj the owner, the money they owed me from the first day of the sale. The lady, Miriam, he had working for him at my sale was super slow and very distracted. Anyone could have stole the floor from under her and she would have not noticed. Hey! When I first contacted Raj he came to the house on Memorial Day, which impressed me. Well that's where it stopped!!! He partner, Tracey, was very rude and short with us! Her and her team left the house a mess! For some reason they took up the floor boards in the attic looking for something and didn't replace them now we have to do it! When I texted Raj he was a little bit on the nasty side and said he was going to block my number that I should talk to my sister!! I WOULD NEVER UAE THEM AGAN AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM!! Went to one of her sales in Dumont NJ, and got to the house at 3:00am because I really really wanted something they had, I was first to the house and waiting for a number, when she comes out with the numbers instead of handing me the ticket with number 1 on it I get number 2 because she gave number 1 to a guy who showed up HOURS after me!!!! I tried to explain to the lady that I waited about 6 hours for a number ( number 1 because I was first there ) but all she did was argue and scream at me and instead of trying to solve the problem and give me number 1 for being first and waiting 6 hours she screams and complains then she walks inside the house and shuts the door in my face! Yeah this is literally how she treats customers. Also a day before the estate sale I asked her prices for the items I wanted and she sent a text message saying that they were $75 and the day of the sale once she found out that everyone wanted the same items I wanted she went back in the house and changed the price to $175 just because a lot of people were interested in it. #SCAMMER anyway I was let in the house and didn't get what I wanted and waited 6 hours even though I was first, i again was taking to the lady saying it was wrong what she did and all she did was again scream, complain and get angry at me after I did nothing to her but tell her it was wrong what she did. And to top it all off when I left the sale I found out that the person who bought the items I was interested in and the lady running the sale were talking shit about me! Yeah she said all I do at her sales is try to scram her and I lie? ABOUT WHAT I HAVE NO IDEA!!!! the only one lying is her about her prices again she told me the items were $75 then once she found out that a lot of people were interested in them the price went up to $175!! I've been going to estate sales for the past few years. Hassle Free has been one of my favorite companies to deal with. Raj and Tracey are very friendly and helpful people. As a buyer, I can see that the initial prices are not as inflated as some other companies and they are willing to work with the buyer for really good deals. From the buyers viewpoint they are very unprofessional. They do not give out numbers nor do they allow the buyers to give a list of who got there first .This becomes an aggressive free for all when they open . People are shoving up to the front of the line with no semblance of order. A guy who is number 19 weasels in first. { I don't have time to fight with these morons ]. As soon as my group got to the tools we looked at an anvil. Price was too high for me but the next guy wants it . He goes up to pay and it is sold already to the guy who cut the line. The salesman was rude to the whole group when we told him we made a list . If you are to cheap to buy a 5 dollar roll of numbers to keep order don't run a sale. The good thing is when they post the pictures on line you can see it is all junk and know ahead of time not to waste your morning on a bad sale. So check out the pictures and be ready to fight in line for these sales . Not worth it to me when I can go to a sale with numbers and everyone is civil waiting their turn. Depending on who from Hassle free is there the prices quoted can be almost the cost of new tools at Sears and no real bargains. You can watch the pictures and decide if it is worth your aggravation . We are the customers and deserve better .Without us there is no sale. read more
