zero stars if I could. i tried to rebook my appt (after 2 attempts) and was out on hold for 5 minutes. The office manager picks up and blatantly said, "well you left us a bad google review so we deactivated your account". for reference, read my Google review that details the nonsense I went through with this office.. But the front desk staff has always been sassy, - any time I have had to call the office twice in one day they are very obviously annoyed and blow you off. If I could give zero stars, I would. One year I had to get blood work three different times because they kept sending the wrong order to the lab, they change appointments dates and they don't give you the option of using a cancelled one. You have to call them every week to ask them if they have cancellations or not when they are the ones who cancelled -or forgot to add your appointment- on their calendar. I feel like I have been in search for a good PCP for my adult life until i finally found this group. They provide care in the way I feel is so hard to find anymore. They make staying on top of well visits so easy by making your next appointment for you a year in advance. When sick you can call for a same day appointment. Everyone in the office is helpful and friendly. The office is clean and modern. The doctors I have seen spend time getting to the bottom of what is going on and are thorough and have excellent bedside manner. Convenient office hours make it easy to be seen. I dread calling this office because when you call and get Jody or Dorothy you will be screened at and I was even called unstable! I guess I was calling on stable because I was calling to complain about Joe spaniel because all he did was shrug his shoulders when I was severely ill and tried to send me to an ER psychiatrist while I was burning up red-faced and profusely sweating with tachycardia with a 95° temperature! Also Judd is the absolute worst, I hate to even call him a human being because he treated me so poorly and mocked me and it's 16 months later and I blame them for letting my illness explode the way it has! read more

If I could give ZERO I would! I set an hour to get my ears cleaned! I would Have set another hour if I didn't stand up and say Hey, did you forget about me?? I was there just yesterday for an infection on the top of my foot. After the Doctor? Elana, found A Q tip she did take a culture. She never examined my foot. I asked if she wanted to take a look at it, She said I saw it. As it was oozing puss. When I checked out Yesterday for a 2 week follow up on my foot, I ran back to Elana ( I'm sure if she is a doctor), I explained I am scheduled January to have a spinal fusion. As the Office Is aware I am a heavy smoker. Penn neurosurgeon Will not operate on me unless I quit smoking. I asked her if she could please write me a script for medication to assist as this will be very hard for me. She seemed very uninterested and said we can discuss it at your follow up.... This made no sense to me. I called the office today and spoke with 2 separate women that were extremely Rude an unsympathetic. I explained I need to stop smoking as soon as possible. I even provided them the name of the drug that has been very successful. I was told by the one Woman I would get a call back. It was approaching 5 o'clock so I called back. I can't even explain how that conversation went. I said I want my life back and I will not have my life Back until I have this surgery. If they could please prescribe the medication. I wasn't asking for percocet. I was told a note we sent to this Elana, And that I had only requested this at 4 PM today. I said actually I requested this yesterday after my appointment. I received a call back within 5 minutes, The answer was no they will not call in a script that I will have to talk about this with Elana At my 2 week follow up on my foot infection, That she barely looked at! I then ask this woman if she has looked at the reviews on Hatboro medical , Extremely low. She said she had, And then said there are 2 sides to every story, Her exact words. Condescending front office staff. Rude and non-communicative. The newer doctors don't take time to listen to you. Never had a more frustrating experience. Left feeling like I was being spoken to like a child. Zero empathy or understanding outside of their own perspectives. You are wrong and they are right. They don't try to listen to you to try to understand your medical concerns, or if you are confused about an insurance issue. I've been here for 37 years too long, and I'll be finding another primary. So I moved to the area and had a hard time finding a primary care MD that had late hours. This place is fantastic and has great hours! They are open on Sats 8-noon and weekdays they open till 8pm I think. It was a bit hard to get someone on the phone but I was able to get a new patient appt in 3-4wks. Receptionist was nice. Nursing was good and did my intake. I saw my provider close to the time I was scheduled. She was knowledgable and through. They knew that b/c my visit was "preventative" routine exam I didn't have to pay a copay. They also draw blood work on site which is a big plus! Lotsa parking in their lot. They have a nice website. I just put in a prescription refill request online and I'll see how quickly they respond to that. Would definitely continue to come here. read more

I would be wary of some of the complaints on here. The receptionists aren't there to greet you with a smile and start up a conversation. They're usually quite busy. Also, I would be worried if reception is how you are grading your quality of care at a doctors office. I've never waited more than 24 hours for an appointment here. I've never waited for more than 15 mins in the waiting room. Doctors, nurses, and practitioners are smart, polite and attentive. All doctors are nice and very helpful but I can't say anything good for the receptionist workers. They are rude and make the impression of doing you a favor by talking to you. Even if you stop there by person you may see around 7-8 ladies seating around and pretending not to see you at all. You will spend a while till someone asks you why you're there. I don't recommend using their service if you tend to appreciate your time and nerves. read more

I have been with Hatboro Medical for years. I have always felt that if I "needed" to see a doctor they would get me in within 24 hours. I have never felt I was rushed or just a number. They have both injection and lab (blood draw) hours which are extremely convenient. Appointments, for the most part, are reasonably on time. I read a negative review about Nancy Polin. Nancy is one of the two I see regularly and trust completely. I have had basic health needs, rotated cuff surgery, skin cancer, fractures and sprains, all my basic gym needs. I would recommend them to anyone. My negative, in the interest of full disclosure, over the years i have found some of the staff to be short/curt to the point of being rude (although not recently). I would not considered leaving them. read more

The service has gone down hill fast. I have been a patient at this practice for 7 years and I have had to leave. I can never get the office staff to answer my call and, when they call me back hours later, they never have an available appointment for me when I am sick. They tell me to call back the next morning to see if there is availability. I had to go to a well clinic instead that gave me antibiotics and treated my bronchitis, etc. If they keep treating regular patients like this, many more will be forced to leave the practice. I hope the doctors are aware of how their staff are treating their patients.. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Cohen for over 20 years. HMA is one of the best Medical groups in the area. While the front staff can be tough the office is busy and it is they who keep things moving so you are not waiting a long time to see a doctor. Would never use anyone but HMA. read more

My daughter went to Hatboro Med. for a patchy rash she had and the nurse practitioner Nancy Polin, diagnosed her with scabies gave her a prescription and sent her on her way. She left thinking she had scabies, and took the necessary precautions like bagging her clothes washing the clothes she wore in hot water, washing her bedding every day, taking two showers a day and using natural treatments several times a day , treating her furniture, quarantining herself from friends and loved ones, and using the prescribed ointment that made it worse. Only to find out a month later that she didn't have the horrible scabies after seeing a dermatologist. She actually had pityriasis rosea which is nothing like scabies. I talked to Nancy about what my daughter went through and she was cold, distant and unsympathetic! Nancy Polin is careless and incompetent!! It's like telling someone they have cancer when they have a cold. This place is a joke do not trust them with your health!! read more

I have been a patient in this practice for over 10 yrs. Dr. Rosen is the doctor I usually see and she is wonderful. On occasion I have had to see a doctor for an emergency and one of the others took care of me as well as the physician assistant. Everyone has always been very professional and have provided excellent medical care. I am in the medical profession myself and have seen many practices over the years. I agree with all the reviews about the staff except Dr. Cohen. I go there only because of him. The rest of staff I could do without. They are rude, and the receptionists don't even acknowledge you most of the time. It's really annoying. You feel like you are bothering them. Forget calling them! They are the rudest then! They act so annoyed and frustrated that you worry about even being heard! Recently I went for an appt. and the Dr wanted to do blood work. So I went into the lab and the phlebotomist was chewing on food as she talked to me. She looked at my chart and said "Is that really you're name?" referring to my last name. I told her yes it is. Then she says "maiden name or married? I said maiden. Her response? "oh ok because you would REALLY have to love a guy to take THAT name!" I could not believe how rude she was! Everyone in the office was attentive and professional, every question we had was answered. Called HATBORO MEDICAL On 5/07/2020 at 9am they asked me whats wrong and I said I was having chest pains and pain in both my shoulders and was having difficulty breathing they told me they were not seeing any patients in the office due to the Covid 19 virus but said the doctor can do a phone conference with you at 1:30 pm that day I said I was having alot of trouble breathing but she said I will have to wait until 1:30 for the doctor to call me and the doctor is Doctor LANDA PROPATO not knowing any better I agreed to this phone conference thing well I waited the 4 Hours while Im struggling to breathe Dr, LANDA PROPATO called me and asked me whats wrong and I explained to her I was having Shortness of breath and pains in my chest and in my arms and this is exactly what she said I CANNOT DO A DIAGNOSIS OVER THE PHONE WITHOUT TAKING YOUR VITALS and since we are not seeing patients in the office so I cannot do anything for you this phone call lasted less then 3 minutes she said for me to go to URGENT CARE to get a proper Diagnosis and I immediately went there they performed several tests on my including a EKG and took my Blood Pressure and determined I was in grave danger of having a heartattack so they called Abington Hospital and I was admitted Immediately I spent 5 days in the Hospital when I came out the next day I recieved a Bill from HATBORO MEDICAL for $157.00 this Doctor LANDA PROPATO did absolutely nothing to help me other then to tell me to go to urgent care and for that that had the balls to charge me $157.00 when I told the Doctor at Urgent care that I called HATBORO MEDICAL and explained my symptoms he said they should of Immediately told me to go to the emergencey room instead of having me wait 4 hours to recieve a phone call from Doctor LANDA that was actually calling from her home to tell me she cant do anthing over the phone they basically risked my life while waiting 4 Hours for this ridicolous phone call then have the Balls to charge me $157.00. I now want to warn anyone else thinking of calling HATBORO MEDICAL DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AS THEY ONLY WANT TO TAKE YOUR MONEY FOR TALKING TO YOU OVER THE PHONE!! Wow! The people who said the staff is rude were not kidding! It was my first visit so I knew they needed all my info so after I signed in I waited for someone to take my insurance card. There were about 8 people working in the reception area and not one person acknowledged me even though they saw me standing there. Finally I spoke up and said 'is anyone going to help me? You told me to come in early to fill out paperwork.' The one lady got all flustered and looked like she was going to cry and started shuffling papers around so someone else came over to assist me. I wasn't too impressed with Dr. Miller either. I felt like he was talking down to me. Not sure I'll be returning. read more

I've been going to HMA for over 5 years, and was always satisfied with the medical care I received. But the other reviewers are right, the front desk staff is terrible! Nobody wants to acknowledge you when you are there in person, and when you call they are rude. I tried to get an appointment for 3 days in a row for an urgent appointment, and every day was told "sorry, we have no appointments, call back tomorrow at 7:30 am." Still no appointment, and now I have to go to urgent care. Thanks HMA, for nothing. It's hard to give a good doctor a good review if you can't get in to see them. read more

The worst customer service I have every had. write on their website for a prescription refill and no response, write a second time the next day, NOTHING. No phone call saying it is ready for pick-up. I had to call on the third day and was told they never call. My specific instructions in the comment section was to contact me for pickup. How am I to know its ready if THEY don't contact me? Filled out the papers to have my records transferred to another doctor, specifically asked for 5 years back. Told they would call me with the cost of coping. NO phone call. I get an invoice four days later for 2 years of recorders. Had to request the five years back AGAIN was told they would call. NO PHONE CALL. read more

This is my third time not writing a review because they keep taking it down. So far I've posted a one start review and a 5 star detailing the horrors so my review would stay up but it was still one star. In the comments I posted a screen shot of my original review. I look from time to time to see if my review it still up and funny enough it's not. I'll try two stars this time and see what happens, but for the record my rating is zero stars. I would go into the negatives if I could. They lost my pee sample when I had a kidney infection and never called me back. I called a month later asking for the results of the test and to say I was feeling strange. They told me they must have lost it. If they were to lose me pee sample and call me asking to come into again I would not be mad, however that is not what happened. I received no call. What if there was something wrong and they were doing absolutely nothing about it? I was in there office crying to the doctor in serious pain and they have the incompetence to lose a patients sample and not even call for another one? Ridiculous. Another time I had auto uti and it was a Friday, they said they could take me until Monday. I was in so much pain and I needed medicine, only after my mom called ( I am an adult). They said they sent the medicine over but the pharmacy had nothing. They called and got no answer. When I called the doctors office back they receptionist was very rude and said everything was sent over and that the pharmacy should call. I explained that I was there with the phone on speaker when he called and there was no answer. I had to call a few more times and finally they got a script for me. Long story short they are incompetent and rude. There are few nice doctors there (maybe one or two), but it not worth dealing with the rest of the issues this place has to offer. I could go on with more stories from me and my mother, but I think I've gotten my point across. read more

I am SHOCKED at the patient care I was given last week. I have been a patient of Hatboro Medical for 25 years. I really like Dr. Rachel Rosen! However last week I called the office at 6:30 at night. Explaining to the receptionist that I was in HORRIBLE PAIN. I explained to here that I would like to see a doctor. She told me they had no appointments that evening. I told her I understood and asked if the doctor could call in a script for discomfort until I was able to be seen. She advised me that this was not an option. I hung up the phone contemplating the emergency room. She call me back with in minutes and advised me that Dr. Judd would like to see me. I went right over. When I got there, there were 3 at the reception desk. The ALL looked at me and none of them would acknowledge me. Not until someone come in behind me did they come over to the window. When I was taken back, the nurse's assistant was sure to glance at her watch as to let me know that it was late. I have never seen Dr. Judd before and not to be disrespectful to a health care professional. I will keep my comments to myself about my visit with him and his poor patient care and bed side manor. I hope to continue my doctor/patient relationship with Dr. Rachel Rosen. read more

Dr Judd has been my families Dr for many years starting with my Grandparents all the way down to my young children. The care he provides is absolutely exceptional! My husband and I are new patients here. I have no idea what the bad reviews are about. The receptionists were really nice and paid attention to us right away. I have been there a total of three times and each time I never waited more than 10 min in the waiting room. My husband and I saw two different doctors and had two different nurses take us back and they were awesome too! I also went back for lab work and the girl who took my blood was so sweet and careful. I normally get a huge bruise from blood work but all I have is a tiny little dot. She did great and even gave me a child size needle when I told her that I have a huge fear of needles. The two doctors my husband and I saw were amazing also. They took the time to listen and were just super nice. Their lab is right in the office and they have late hours which is great! I called this facility about a month ago & asked specifically do they take the ins. my son has, & mine. Not only did they say yes, they took down the member ID numbers. I was advised no appt.'s were available for physicals until a month out which would be today. I had a sick visit here as my first visit this past Tuesday. I waited almost an hr & a half for the Nurse practitioner to see me. The website advises that they see you within 20 minutes. I asked her could she complete my physical that same day instead of being charged twice & having to come back a 2nd time this week, she said no. Today was both of our appt.'s, thank goodness I called my sons ins. comp. to add this Dr. to his ins. because when I called they told me they couldn't find the Dr. I called the Dr.'s office & now they said they don't take it. So, they were going to wait until we got there, conduct both physicals & charge me??? This facility lost business today!!! read more

So I don't like to talk about personal experience's but this needs to be shared. On Monday I went to Hatboro Med. Ass. for pink eye. No big deal you may think, until I get home and find that the prescription my Dr had wrote is for a medicicne that I am severally allergic to. Mistake, I think not. It is on my file that I am a severe reaction to this paticular group of medications. The pharmacy did not catch the mistake but I have recently switched pharmacys. This was the first prescription I have filled there. Make your own decisions, but I personally am finding another DR. After talking to poision control I found I cold have lost my vision if I had used the drops. Lucky for me I look at the label and read he inserts befoe I take anything. Hope this save a life, Be aware of your medication allergies and know what you can and cant have. read more
