I have tried for the last few months to get someone at the office to contact a bill collector that is going after my disability check and not even going through the courts. I have tried repeatedly to get a call or email back I have received nothing. I paid them they was right on top of the money but anything else that is a BIG FAT NO!!! I don't even know if I have to pay the bill but they seem to think I do and they have taken all my money for the last two months. I mean everything. I filed bankruptcy and was discharged in January. I debated to write a review just because it's embarrassing. However I wish I did it sooner so others know how this office works They are very hard to reach, in meetings often and take a few days to respond to emails. My current vehicle was NOT included in my chapter 7. Well months AFTER being discharged from bankruptcy I found out Adam had never filled out a paper sent from my car lender and I lost my privileges to get mailed bank statements and log in online. I was never late on a vehicle payment. They said the attorney was sent a paper and had a small window to return so this would jot happen when I finally got a answer back they said HE DOESNT DO THIS PAPERWORK. And I was never informed he even received it. And too soon so refinance so here I am waiting to refinance so I can actually have access to a loan I pay monthly too Then today I received a letter from bankruptcy trustee saying I owe $1200.... no one told me I would be paying a trustee???? They said I paid court fees but that's all. (So I will call the BK trustee to see what this is about ) They have horrible communication. Can't sort emails correctly. I was just overall so u happy I had a friend ask who I used, I did not recommend I said avoid him actually. Would never recommend. read more

I briefly spoke with someone when I first considered filing and they were driving and the phone was cutting out the entire time. Other than that I spoke to a woman who called to collect payment and was told that they would be in contact. Nothing what so ever has been done and will not refund my money either. It seems the only thing they want is their retainer fee of $1,325. I used this firm from March 2020 thru August 2020 (when Mr. Hauf petitioned to have himself removed from my case after being told from the bankruptcy lawyer that it would be best to get out because it's going to get worse - I have that email). I had one telephone conversation with Mr. Hauf between March 2020 and June 2020 (the day of my hearing). He greeted me in March and thanked me for choosing his office. From that moment on, I dealt with just his office staff. The questionnaire this office supplied also asked questions that I misinterpreted, but I answered to the best of my knowledge. Nobody went over anything I submitted with me to make sure there weren't any errors and that I understood all that was asked. I had to look over their forms that they filled out with my answers and have them make several corrections. They also misplaced the documents I sent in after confirming they were received. I kept every email and letter that passed through all the hands involved, so I can back this all up as fact. On the day of my hearing, it was discovered that I did make an error, which I owned up to; however, I was treated as a liar and was basically told it was all my fault and I was abandoned to deal with the bankruptcy lawyer's office on my own. That was equally as stressful. The whole process lasted until August 2021 when my case finally went to mitigation of a non-bias judge, whom agreed I was treated unprofessionally. It was agreed upon from all around actually. I was basically left with no money and borrowed debts because for most of this time, I was not working due to Covid-19 and I had to pay additional money to satisfy the bankruptcy court. I should have read the earlier reviews and I would have avoided this firm. read more

I am very ignorant when it comes to legal stuff, and at first I thought Adam's recommendation of a chapter 13 instead of a chapter 7 was okay, I was wrong. The problem is they never explained what would happen if I couldn't make the payments. I only saw Adam twice, and he was very late for my hearing. Now, after unforeseen events including a death in the family, I am unable to keep up on the payments. I sent information explaining what the situation was, but all they said is they would need another $1000 to file anything. If I can't make the payments, how would I possibly be able to pay Hauf another $1000 on top of the $500 down payment, and another $3000 added to my total debt! It has now been dismissed and I still have not heard a thing from Hauf law offices. I did receive the exact copy of what the trustee sent, but with no explanation. I have no idea what to do. but I won't be calling Hauf law offices. read more

If I could give these guys a 10 star rating, I would. This is by far the best BK attorney in Phoenix. I had originally chosen another attorney and began my case filing in July. Last week it still had not been filed yet! Our car was repossessed. When I called the other attorneys office I was told "Although you are filing bankruptcy, you still have to pay your bills." Little did she know, that we had paid 2 payments the previous month. Then she stated that once the car had been repossessed, we couldn't get it back. I was told that it would need to go to court and that they didn't have the resources in which to do so. So I was advised to catch up the auto loan and pay the repossession fees if we wanted to keep the car. I called Adam Hauf that day. He personally called me back THAT evening from home. He asked me to come in the following day. Upon arriving, we were instantly greeted by Ariel. She took all of the information that I had provided to the other attorney, used that to file.
