Hunk Manager came out and did a walk through to see how many hunks I would need to get my 3 level home packed. When the day came, 4 hunks showed up on time, and got to work wrapping and packing. Matt the leader was polite, adorable, professional and a true hunk. All 4 worked as a team and in 5 hours, both pods were packed floor to ceiling. I was so happy I made them all lunch. If I may make a suggestion, please at least have cold water for these men. They work so hard and sweat in this heat...be human and treat these hard working men as you would like to be treated. Ice cold water, I even put out cold watermelon to keep their sugar up while they continued to work extremely hard. My appointment was confirmed, all good right? Wrong! I get an email the day before my appointment saying they can't come, we are out of their service area. So all the stuff that I carried up into the yard to be ready, I have to haul back to the basement. If we are out of the service area, then I shouldn't be able to make an appointment based on my address and zip code! Letting me know the day before was really poor form. In this economy, that's not a minor issue--it was a key part of the value I was told to expect. When I contacted customer service, I was redirected from the national line to a local office, where I was told I "should not have been told that" and was advised to use my paid service receipt as a tax write-off instead. That is not an acceptable substitute for a legitimate donation receipt. I also reviewed your website and found no clear public-facing policy stating that donation receipts are not provided--yet your team explicitly told me I would receive one. That level of inconsistency is unacceptable. If this is truly company policy, it needs to be clearly communicated upfront--not contradicted multiple times during the sales and service process. Customers should not be misled into expecting documentation that will not be provided.
