I called Great Falls and they were able to come out same day. The technician, Mauricio Apolinares immediately diagnosed the problem as a blockage between the tank and the house. While the tank was fairly full he doubted that was what was causing the back up. He dug out the inlet access port and sure enough, the baffle that empties into the tank was completely clogged. Within a couple of hours of arriving we were back in business. Very impressed with their service.

DO NOT USE - Negligent and Dangerous…read more We called Great Falls Septic (GFS) in May 2025 after our septic alarm went off. As first-time homeowners with a septic system, we relied on them for honest, professional help. Instead, we got deception, disrespect, and potential property damage. They came out, inspected the system, and said the pumps were fine but we needed the pit pumped and 3 float valves replaced. We were quoted $600 for the valves and $385 for the pump. We agreed and scheduled service for May 22. When the technician arrived, he unexpectedly demanded an extra $40 in cash for a hose that was supposedly needed to reach the bottom. He said the office gets angry if he doesn't collect money on every visit. We were confused and told him we already had a formal quote. He became rude and walked away mid-conversation. Without our knowledge or consent, the technician shut off both the septic pump and the alarm system--disabling the two systems that are meant to protect our home from sewage overflow. He then quietly left the property without saying a word. We only found out what had happened because the second company we hired confirmed it: * The pump was manually shut off. * The alarm was disabled. * Our system was left at risk of dangerous overflow. * No work had been done on the valves. When we called the office to report this, a woman named Debbie hung up on us. No explanation. No apology. Nothing. This wasn't a misunderstanding--it was willful negligence. GFS left our system compromised and our home at risk. We are filing a complaint with the Virginia Department of Health. If you value your home, your safety, and basic human decency, stay far away from GFS.

The arena was not groomed/harrowed and still had piles of sand when he left. He said he would come back to "rake them by hand" because his machinery couldn't reach the edge - any arena builder should have equipment that can properly groom a ring, but he also never returned to do this. He promised to come back and fix the fence and never did. I have since gotten several estimates from reputable companies to fix his work that are at least the same amount I paid him. This was a huge investment for me and I am so disappointed that someone would take advantage of a customer like this. The work is just shoddy and I now can't ride in the arena at all without risking injury to myself or my horses. He was aware of the problems, admitted that they were problems and should be fixed, and was given ample opportunity to do so. He was uncommunicative and very hard to get a hold of once the project was underway. I wish I could give him zero or negative stars but the review seems to require at least one.
