Ginger arrived at our Airbnb with the bus on time and after picking up other people at their various locations, we reached 4.0 Cellars for our first tasting. Our second tasting was at Hye Meadow Winery followed by lunch at Hye Market, where our lunches were ready on the table for us! We finished the day at Fat Ass Ranch & Winery before all being taken back to our respective locations. All 3 tastings were amazing! We never felt rushed or that we were on any type of time crunch. We were able to enjoy every glass and had no worries about who would have to be the designated driver. Ginger was so much fun and the absolute sweetest! Brandon was super friendly and knowledgeable of the area and the different things to do in Fredericksburg. He picked everyone up from where they were staying, which was awesome. The first place he took us was to was Fiesta Winery. This place was my absolute favorite! We were allowed to pick 6 wines to try and we got to keep our tasting glasses. I got lucky and liked all 6 of mine! The next stop was the Garrison Brothers Distillery. Bourbon on a wine tour?! Super unique. This consisted of a tour of the distillery and we learned how bourbon was made. We got to try it every stage of the process. And they also taught us how to enjoy a glass of bourbon. It wasn't my cup of tea, however it was a cool experience and my boyfriend loved it! For lunch, we had some awesome sandwiches at the Hye Market. Super yummy! Our last stop was the Hye Meadow Winery. Also a cute winery. We had such a great time on this tour. Brandon gave us his card and told us to call him directly if we ever want to do it again, that way we don't do the same tour twice.
