We live in Los Angeles and have friends who work in the movie industry and others who built attractions for Disneyland and Universal Studios. We're also members of an amateur haunted house building group in Southern California. All this to say we have seen a lot of great work through the years, and the craftsmanship at Haunted Manor is top tier. We loved the details and engineering. The lighting is smart to give you that creepy feeling without making you walk around in the dark. They offer a mix of traditional mini golf holes and others that are throwbacks to classic boardwalk games. The service was great and the manager was a horror film enthusiast who we enjoyed chatting with. We were wrapping up a cruise wich had a short 3 hour stop in Victoria, and stumbled on Haunted Manor as a fluke through Google maps. Glad we took the chance to spend an hour of our time here! The individual holes are a fairly small, but they're so well done, it doesn't really matter. Would love to see what they could do with a bigger location someday down the road. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped in on a Tuesday night without reservations to play 18 holes. There was only 1 group 2-3 holes in front of us. For mini golf/putt we play with our clubs but sometimes we had to use our hands. Overall it was a unique course with a lot of surprises. They don't allow drinks on course which was a bummer. Thank goodness for great reception on our cruise ship! The shore excursions didn't seem appealing to me for Victoria & I can't believe I went rogue and had NOTHING planned ahead of time for our port day here. I just knew- I wanted to get of the ship and explore the town and some local businesses. With my handy dandy device, thanks to Google Maps, I find it nifty that businesses have their names popped up on maps. The name in itself got my attention. Once I clicked on the business and scrolled thru pictures- I was SOLD!! I didn't even look at prices! I knew Haunted Manor opened at 11am and we were gonna get there before they opened up. Once you step in- we were greeted and informed lockers are available, no charge. We just did some light shopping at Bulk Barrel and utilized this free perk to stash our stuff. If you decide to purchase drinks- they'll need to be consumed in the immediate front room, at the seating area. Each room is meticulously decorated! The upbeat music gets your game face in motion. We decided not to keep score and just roll with it. I had my medical boot on- so, it was great to see the holes that you're actually using your putter, are well lit along the green. The rooms are mainly dimmed- to add to the spooky aesthetic. You just need to be a bit cautious when stepping onto the green, because there's a bit of a raised border. Some of the holes aren't your typical putt putt. And that's another elevated experience that bumps up the notch for Haunted Manor. Not sure if Canada has the tv show, Survivor or The Price is Right. Because some of these holes, you use your hands to to operate the ball. You'll see when you get there! Each hole has quirky instructions on how to play. Get as many photos and videos inside! I wish San Diego had something as cool as this! It really has Haunted Mansion vibes from Disneyland. SO MUCH FUN!!! My friends and I played mini-golf as a group of four. Any more people would have been too large for some rooms. The theming was delightfully spooky but not frightening. Several holes were dexterity challenges instead of golf. They were some of our favorites! Some rooms had several tasks where the signs say to split up to keep from bottlenecking. Take that advice. This is such a fun place, with unique features added to the mini golf idea that I, someone who is not a big fan of mini golf, not only had a ton of fun, but I keep telling people about this place and ALMOST went a second time when we stopped off in Victoria on our cruise. Locally owned. Super fun activity and definitely one of a kind. I love the different challenges to get your golf ball in the holes. Fun puzzles, and some are not too easy. There were a couple of jump scares and were given the option at the beginning if we would like to know where it would be. I forgot it as we went along the course, but was not as surprised and scared when we came across it lol. My 10 year old had fun and it was creepy but not too scary for her which was perfect. Customer service was really nice and I can imagine this place getting pretty busy early evening/night. We arrived there an hour after they opened on a weekday and got to start right away and didn't have to hurry since nobody was right behind us until we were almost done with the course. Highly recommended and really love the designs and atmosphere they did to the place! General Admission: $24.95 Canadian 15 & Under: $17.95 Canadian They also have a ping pong lounge and can book the place for parties/private events. "It takes approximately 45 minutes for 2 people to complete the course and 60 minutes for a group of 4-5" (stated on their website and it took me and my daughter between 30-40 min to get through) *Cool facts: Their props are custom built in their workshop downstairs. So we came in on a cruise ship and just kind of stumbled across the haunted Manor mini golf and ping-pong lounge in Victoria called. They had a spot available for us. THIS WAS SOOOO MUCH FUN! We had one day in the area, and there's only so much sightseeing and walking around you can do when it's cold and rainy. I found this spot and we had an absolute blast!!! We made a reservation and enjoyed the decorations and creativity to make it through the game, because it was way more than mini golf where a golf club is required for each of the holes. I loved the challenging course and how they tried to stagger reservations to give each group their own time to complete each hole. When you did go ahead and see the tricks and tips to complete things, it could ruin it so I loved just trying to stay separate and finish each challenge on our own. But we were having such a great time and enjoying it all and taking pics and taking it in that we were a bit slow and taking our time, so that the poor couple behind us had to wait for us to move on and get out of their way. LMAO But it also isn't cheap, so we wanted to get our money's worth and enjoy it all since we had not yet experienced anything like this before! Great time and I'd do it again! read more

What a blast! This is my first time "golfing" at a mini golf place where you don't use your club on some of the holes... Such a fun idea and really well executed. We only had a few hours in Victoria and I was really happy that we spent some of our time here. The haunted theme is fun and would be an absolute blast to come back to and have some drinks while making your way through the maze of holes and challenges. 10 out of 10 - this was so much fun that I'd definitely do it again next time I visit the city. Just the right amount of spooky to be enjoyable without being scary. $24.95 is a bit pricey for mini-golf, but we were looking to try something new in downtown Victoria. It's a 15-hole course and each hole has a detailed description. The haunted theme was so fun and it's not your typical mini-golf course. For example, one of the holes requires you to drop your ball like in Plinko. I like that you have to book a timeslot so the place doesn't get overcrowded. I also like that there's complimentary lockers to store your bag. My only complaint is that one of the holes didn't work (the one where you're supposed to pull the ropes to guide the ball.) read more

We went for an evening activity with our teen kids and it was so much fun! The people that designed this are so creative and smart. It was not scary in a gory way, but creepy (with some Christmas cheer currently) with a lot of great challenges along the way. We felt like we were in a mini-Disneyland ride. Our whole family was laughing the whole time and we recommend it wholeheartedly! A nice bonus was that after mini-golf we played a few games of ping pong too!
