But this time, she came home and has been her normal, energized self. The staff is very kind, and understanding, and take the time to know your pup. They also provided some touch-up training with recall and Juniper has been doing so well at home. We couldn't recommend them enough!

About 3 months ago, around 6AM I was leaving town. Our cat, Charlie, started coughing and threw up…read more Thought it may be a hairball but didn't think too much of it. He's coughed up hairball before. I got back around midnight and he didn't get up to greet me like usual. Slowly walked over. Passed on treats. In the morning, i picked him up and he laid in my arms like a baby. Didnt try to wiggle away. Barely moved. I held him and talked with him.. asking if his tummy hurt... he would make eye contact but hardly any physical movement. Got the boys. Said i was afraid. About 15 mins went by... i couldnt get his mouth open at all... i tried a little syringe to see if i could get him to drink some water. But he had lock jaw. I set him down and when he tried to stand his legs got so wobbley. He tried a little step up from couch to kitchen window and he couldnt make it. His back legs gave out and his tongue was sticking out. We said nope we need to go now. It was a blizzard. Called the emergency vet. I was panicing and called five mins again after first call and i belive Dr. Laurence answered and i told him it was going down hill so fast and I was driving from Granite Falls and i didnt think hed even survive the drive. He asked if i had any rat poison out or ant chemicals. I said no but was in tears. He said i will meet you at the clinic. Within 3 minutes of getting there... he had charlie in his arms and diagnosed him within seconds. Charlie boy had a blocked ureter and had stone blocking his urine passage. Was taking him in for surgery right then. He called with updates every few hours. The next day was allowed to come hold him in a room. They kept him for 3 nights and 4 days. And now our Charlie boy is his happy, chipper, amazing self and I truly know he wouldnt have made it without the team here. Thank you for saving our baby and keeping our family whole. Payment was easy. Less than we were originally told for emergent service. Which is a plus. But the care was above and beyond and i can not say enough amazing things. Thank you. I still thinm of this daily!! ​

We vetted several places before our trips, and each time our dogs stayed here, they came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. The staff is exceptional, genuinely kind, and attentive, which shows in every interaction. The facility itself is spacious, and we loved that they walk the dogs right at drop off to help them get acclimated and comfortable. During our recent holiday trip, our teenage son checked in on them, and the staff happily texted photos of the pups playing in the snow and having the time of their lives. Grooming was another highlight. Both dogs came home freshly trimmed, brushed, and looking fantastic. The only drawback is not having a live camera system to check in visually while you're away, which would add an extra layer of reassurance, though we fully trust they're in great hands. Overall, it's comforting to know our pets get a luxurious staycation when we're gone, and judging by their happy returns, they're just as spoiled there as they are at home. What can I say? Hidden Acres is truly PAWsome.
