I reached out to this floral company from a referral that spoke very well of the company. I was informed via email that my date was available on May 15th and to complete a quick question form which I did immediately. I continued following up and waited 72 hours to receive an email stating my date was available and to send pictures of the flower arrangements I wanted. I did this immediately and never heard back. I continued calling and emailing with no response. Today, I received an email stating the day was no longer available. Very disappointed in the customer service as it is now May 31st and I do not have a flower vendor for my wedding. I do not recommend this floral company based on my experience. read more

I didn't get a proposal reply until I left a voicemail asking for a phone appointment. They wanted me to pay before seeing any product: no mock up, portfolio photos etc. the florals I wanted were faux and I wanted something similar but real. When I refused to pay without seeing what my florals would look like first and inquired about a simpler plain white roses with greenery all of the sudden my wedding weekend was now closed. The company was 2 days delayed in their delivery and then unfortunately the royal mail attempted to deliver twice before actually getting there. The company took no responsibility for being two days late and offered no help to get the flowers rescheduled. The most they would offer is the delivery fee which is nothing. Wow! Wow! Wow! I wanted a custom floral arrangement for my Aunt who lives and works in the Dallas area. I had a pretty specific idea of what I wanted and the impression I wanted my Aunt to receive with the flowers. I wanted something that was going to be fairly large in size and would move her. As I live in Los Angeles, I had to make more than a couple of inquiries via website contact submission and/or phone call to local Dallas floral shops to try to achieve this. I did not call or try to work with your average FTD type florist. I wanted very custom. After calling numerous custom floral shops, I was told either they could not deliver, they did not do "single" orders or could not accommodate my request with only 7 days notice. I found Haute Floral and all I heard was a very professional, reassuring, pleasing "yes, we can work with you"! I was not only relieved but the amount of time that Kristen and Amanda took with working with me to ensure that my vision came to life was impressive!! Amanda and the team were extremely prompt and always so cheerful with their communications. I am in the field a lot working with my own clients but Amanda scheduled call times to discuss which made the process easy. Everything that we discussed, was always followed up with an email. After the selection was made the proposal and invoicing was all done via email and on-line payment processing. Both proposal and invoicing was extremely detailed, so that I again felt confident in what I was receiving and the designers knew exactly what had been discussed. The arrangement arrived this am. It was every bit of what I had envisioned and more importantly, was a show stopper for my Aunt!! While the pictures I am posting with this review, do not show all of the shimmer garden roses with additional blooms, but this arrangement is going to continue to come to life as the roses open. If you want to have the ability to customize an arrangement and want to work with a floral designer who exceeds in customer service, has a "can do" attitude and is about helping your vision come to life, then this is the ONLY floral designer I would recommend! I honestly don't know what to say I was getting such positive feedback and quick response but when it came to the product and the quality they put in I was annoyed. They arrived to the wedding more than a hr late. I was only able to get 1 shot with the flowers I never had them in my bridal pictures because they did not arrive when they said they would. My husband flower was replaced 3x!! Because they kept dying ! And we were short what we ordered! Haute Floral was our choice of floral vendor at our daughter's wedding. So much was great, the reception centerpieces and bouquets. There were two hiccups; the bridal photo bouquet ( I was charged extra) and the wedding cake flowers. This is what I think happened: Haute Floral must have had a larger, more lucrative event at the same time. The flowers at our event were handled by the restaurant staff and by two HF employees. The cake flowers weren't what we wanted and the stems weren't wrapped with floral tape, they were just cut and stuck onto the $1000 cake. HF charged $100 for the cake flowers. I could have done the same thing with grocery store flowers and scissors. Overall, the reception flowers were exactly what we showed them in Pinterest and their pricing was 30% less than two other vendors we interviews. read more

I cannot say enough how sad I am to be leaving a one star review for Kristen. When we first met, I thought we clicked immediately and she was incredibly nice and professional florist. Little did I know how much I would end up hating what she delivered. When we first met, we discussed different styles and what I liked/disliked. The very first thing I stated was how much I hated that pale/pastel purple (my colors were a rich plum and silver.) I didn't just say it once, I said it multiple times during our initial discussion - and for those who know me, I am not a person to mince words. She did ask me if she could use a little lavender stock to help blend the darker colors to the white - and I said that it would be okay, but sparingly. I even gave her a picture and said this is exactly what I wanted. I'm not a creative person - I'm very analytical - so I thought giving her an exact picture of what I wanted would help make things clear as I do not speak the same lingo as florists do. Up until the wedding day, everything worked smoothly. She uses Honeybook for all transactions so there is always a record of conversations and payment. I had such a good impression of her that the floral was the #1 thing I was excited to see for my wedding day. Then came the wedding day. I arrive at the church about an hour before I'm walking down the aisle and look at my bouquet - the thing is covered in this nasty pale purple. I hated it and had to consider if I was going to walk down the aisle with it. This is not something I want to have to think about before I'm walking down the aisle in front of over 100 people. I decided to go ahead and use the bouquet, but had the wedding planner remove the nasty lavender from my altar arrangements. It was also communicated to me that the lavender was going to be removed from the reception venue, but it never was. I walked in and starring at me right in the face is again - the horrific pastel purple. It was in every arrangement despite being told it was going to be used "sparingly". At the end of the day, I had a great wedding, but it makes me very sad to spend a good chunk of change on something I absolutely hated. AND THE WORST PART OF IT IS THAT FLORAL IS IN ALMOST EVERY PICTURE!!!!!!!! Now I get to look at this hideous shade of purple in my cake cutting pictures, my bridal party shots, and over the entire reception venue. Kristen has done some amazing work, but sadly I did not have that for my wedding day. Before you decide on a vendor, realize that you should expect their work to be great every time. Obviously, by the reviews, some people have had beautiful work with Haute Floral. I unfortunately did not have that experience and have to now see in all my wedding pictures that mistake. With Kristen, you are taking a huge risk. She may give you something beautiful. Or it may be horrifically ugly. The risk is on you so please be very careful when selecting her as a vendor. She added bling, she used her best mercury vases, added candles and actually doubled my flowers in my flower arrangements at no extra charge and not even per my request. I want to start by saying I know ZERO about the cost of wedding flowers, but after speaking with several of my married friends, and looking online, I thought a $2,000 budget was a good starting point. I'm having around 180-200 person wedding with a large bridal party - 9 bridesmaids. I reached out to Kristen because of the great reviews, beautiful pictures, and she was referred by our DJ. She responded to my inquiry within a day or 2, on October 10th. We set up a meeting on October 16th. My fiancé and I thought it went very well! I'm not great with explaining my vision, but I want a soft, romantic and vintage look with roses, peonies, and hydrangeas. We haven't 100% decided on the colors of the bridesmaids dresses, but the wedding will be pinks, greys, and beige. Even though I don't have all of the details confirmed, I want a florist that will help me decide and I thought Kristen was it, but I was wrong. After our meeting, I waited 1 week and sent a follow up email asking if we could expect a proposal soon. Her assistant, Melissa replied that night, October 23rd, stating Kristen was finishing it up and we should receive it that evening or the following day. On October 28th I still hadn't received anything so I sent another follow up email. No response. So on November 1st I sent a final email expressing my disappointment and frustration that we didn't at least receive a response or update as to why it was taking so long. We can only assume that our budget wasn't realistic and she didn't want to work with us. We said that we wanted to stay within a $2,000 budget, but because that may not be reasonable with the size of our wedding we were open to increasing the budget, just needed a starting point! I think it's also important to note that in our meeting I said I do not want any large center pieces and plan on having flowers on every other table, with a candle arrangement and rose petals on the rest. We also will have very minimal flowers at the ceremony. With all of the great reviews, I may have just been the 1 unlucky person that requested a consultation at the wrong time. However, I think it was highly unprofessional and just rude that we didn't even receive an email response. And if our budget was the reason for not working with us, that could have been brought up at the consultation. Even though she didn't actually do my wedding and I can't provide a full review, I thought it was important to provide my experience with the non-responsiveness and professionalism after the consultation. read more

I too am saddened that someone left a poor review. My wedding is this Saturday and I have had nothing but positive experiences to express about the decor and how flexible Kristen is. Just yesterday I called her asking to deliver extra rose petals to the church (which is not even where she is providing us her services--our reception is 35 minutes away from the church) and she happily agreed to accommodate the request. My mother-in-law and I had very different opinions about what flowers and colors we wanted for the wedding, yet Kristen managed to find a way to incorporate both our visions and create something truly beautiful. To me that is what any bride would be looking for in choosing a florist: someone with a great eye for creativity. I will agree that it did take some time to receive the floral quote, we waited weeks, and we had to be patient about that. It was worth the wait. She didn't provide us with a quote, the quote gave extremely detailed and elaborate descriptions of what each centerpiece and bouquet would include. On our first visit we shared our budget and Kristen reassured us she would did not exceed it, which is why we didn't worry about getting the estimate so fast. Very friendly, very professional. For those of us with type A personalities (I have one so I can say this) we need to let the florist do his/her job, and I promise you won't be disappointed! I met with Kristen and thought that the appointment went well and that I had found the perfect vendor to do my flowers for my wedding. I was told that I would receive a quote later in the week. However, I did not get any sort of contact from Kristen and reached out to check up on the status of the quote after the week was over. She then apologized and said that she would have it later that day or tomorrow. A few more days pass by, and I still did not get an e-mail or phone call. I gave up on her and I STILL have not heard from her and it's been a couple of weeks. Ultimately, if you want someone to do something for your wedding, you would want them to provide good customer service and not neglect to what is part of their job. I would have been fine if she said that she could not do the event, but she gave the impression that we were going start the process and get going on signing a contract. If someone won't do what they said they would do in a given amount of time that they set before they even get your business, what's to say that they will treat you like a valued customer and provide good communication after you place a down payment?
