I've had good experiences at this place in the past but recently went in there for a bottle of wine under 10 bucks. Selection is very small, they clearly are steering clients to $13 and up. I thought this was kind of disappointing as there are plenty of great options for those of us who just want a quick bottle to go with dinner. Marczyk's, Trader Joe's, and plenty of others have good options at this price point. I will give this place another shot but only for beer next time. read more

Refused to sell to me because my ID is vertical, which is fine. But then wouldn't let my twin sister with her horizontal ID purchase it. They were extremely rude and inconsiderate about it. So my friend tried and they refused to even look at her ID. WE ARE ALL OF AGE. If you are of legal age you should be able to purchase alcohol, period. Typically a decent experience but had to post this as yesterday was a disappointment. I had a craving for Pacifico and luckily they had one six pack left. When I went to purchase the six pack the cashier noticed that one of the beers was open and asked the manager what to do. The manger said he can only return the product to the distributor with all 6 bottles so I would have to pay full price or choose something else. As a business person I would have offered some sort of concession to satisfy the customer but that was not the case. The manager was cold and crass about the situation knowing that Pacifico was the only reason I came to the store. The only reason I didn't give this business one star is that the cashier was pleasant and understanding of the situation so I wanted to give her some props! read more

I really like this store. They have an large selection of all the different booze you might want. They even have a local spirits section where they showcase Colorado distilleries. The prices are all pretty fair for their bottles. The wine selection is also pretty good for a local liquor store. They do have a large selection of cold beer spanning all the different types of beer. What keeps me going back though is the option to choose six different beers for a mixed six pack. They have different beers each time but of all sorts. You might even get a bottle or two of some good high end bottles they might toss in the mix. (I have even heard that if you are interested in trying one of the beers that isn't in the group to go ahead and ask. If the price of the one you want to try is comparable, they will let you take one for your mix! They have a loyalty club of some sort but I have not experienced any benefits from it yet, I'll tell you when I do. But for now I have had the opportunity to try all sorts of brews I wouldn't have if I had to buy a whole six of them. Good show! read more

The only reason I give this store two stars is because at least they gave me a refund. My story starts when I was looking at their beer selection which at first glance appears to be quite good. I grabbed something that I had not seen before and headed to the register. Once at the register, I noticed (after it was rung up) that the bottles were a little dusty. I should have followed my first instinct and said I didn't want them. However, I asked the guy if the beer was old based on the dust. He assured me that it was not old, had only recently been put on the shelf, and that it was because their stock room was dusty. Thinking this was an alright answer, I made my purchase and went home. Luckily, I looked at the bottle before I went to pour it. It had a best by date of two months ago!!! So much for it being recently put on the shelf. It was fricking old! I went a few days later to return it. The guy was nice enough and asked if I wanted to grab something else. I went to go look at another beer that my husband would like and checked the best by date first. I was shocked because this one had a best by date of over three months ago! If you are going to have a good beer selection, I commend you. However, if your good beer selection is made up of beer that is past its shelf life, I would rather have you have a small selection of drinkable beer. The guy was nice enough to return my beer. However, I would almost change my rating to one star except that he would have had to be a jerk for me to have done that. But then again, I was lied to by the first clerk so maybe I should have. read more

Simply put, I love the employees here. I don't even know their names, but they're great. I went in once and asked if they sold shakers, which they did not, but they happened to have one handy right there on the counter. The guy behind the register just gave it to me. Surprising and really very cool. Good selection of wines and spirits. Prices are also very decent, no overpriced-anything going on here. Super helpful staff. I've been to this store in the past few months. When the store first opened up, I thought the wine selection was amazing and it is still a good size. However since I starting drinking beer, I must say I'm a bit disappointed in the selection here. While they do carry some craft beer, the selection is small and not a lot of local craft brewery representation is found here. I've been disappointed more than once. This is a great little bottle shop in Lowry. It is within walking distance of my friend's apartment, so we went there a few times during my recent visit. I did not experience anything like these other reviews. The staff was super helpful and friendly and helped make suggestions while we were shopping for local beers. The prices were reasonable and quite a few of the beers in the cooler were on sale. They boxed up our purchase so we could carry it easier and it was overall a nice experience. read more

I like this place. The staff are very helpful, courteous and professional if you are around a few times. I agree with other reviewers - there is a better wine selection than beer. LL stocks a many great, and a few very reasonably priced wine selections. There is always a "sale" wine that is worth so much more! Additionally, there is a good local-ish liquor selection. I never wait in line and the staff is great. I've become a regular and they recognize my patronage. The recently established rewards program promotes my patronage. An improvement to their store would be a tasting event for any of their selections. read more

I really like Lowry Liquors. Note that I didn't really peruse their wine selection, however they get big points from me for carrying my favorite beer (Black Butte Porter) and one of my favorite ports (Royal Porto) which I rarely find. Friendly staff, well organized and clean. Nice place. read more

I have frequented this liquor store over the one just up Quebec because of the friendliness of staff for.more than two years. I am on a first name basis with several of the people that work/ed there. (Wayne, Nate and Andy off the top of my head) We chat, joke and share stories about the day, whatever is new and they answer/ed any questions I had. Lately, not only is only one of those employees (Joe) still work there but the new ones excluding one new guy John, could give a shit about me or even making a sale. I was there a few days ago, there wasn't any of my beer stocked in the cooler, (which is a new problem as well) I told the tiny brunette female and the giant man with the red beard my delema and they both looked at me, then looked at the pallet of beer sitting just outside of the glass door and said, it's still being delivered. I couldn't see their legs because they were behind the counter but I can only assume they were broken!?!?! They let me leave and I went up the street for my beer. If it had been me working there I would have gotten off my ass and got a 12'er of the beer I requested, apologized for it being warm and would have been nice about it!! I'm very familiar with beer delivery and know it would had been a problem with the delivery guy had it been communicated to them. I'll give this place my loyalty a few more time but quite frankly without the service the beer tastes the same to me!!! Please fix the problem or lose my meek $20+ a day in sales....up to you?? I was standing in front of the beer fridge looking confused, A fantastic associate came up to me and asked what I was looking for. I mention that I loved Russian Imperial Stouts and was looking to see if they had any more. The associate suggested two of his favorite Russian Imperial's followed by a variation on a double IPA I was already going to get that was apparently very rare. Wine being one of my favorite topics - this is my new favorite liquor store. I initially rolled in looking for the obligatory hostess gift for a party I was attending later in the evening. So, something reasonable in price, but drinkable for the entire crew. So, I started in the French aisle and was working my way over to Chile when the "sommelier/ cashier" came from behind the counter and asked if I needed any help. I really didn't, but he was so eager to share all his wine knowledge that I couldn't say no. He then proceeded to school me on all the different grapes and regions and new blends. Now, I know quite a bit about wine and lived in Paris for a while, so it's not super often that someone in the liquor store can give me valuable knowledge. I got to the register feeling like I had been given a crash course in Regional Wines 101. It was great - and all without feeling like he was trying to upsell me some shitty, overpriced bottle my girlfriends would hate. He even told me which bottles he has at home and what his favorites were based on "bodiness". I now go there for my Pacifico, my wine and all my shot supplies for girls night out. Oh, and it's reasonable priced (on a scale). There are lots of overpriced items, but always something on sale, so you an find lots within price range. read more

One of the nicer, more upscale liquor stores in the Lowry area, which says something. Prices seem pretty fair, and sales make them fairer. The wine selection occasionally seems to run a little low, although my sense is that there's always something new to try, and the store certainly works hard at providing a good choice for the dollar. Terrible customer service. I'm not sure if they are smug, mute, or just plain unfriendly but they don't respond to things like "How's it going?" or "Thank you." They also do not thank customers for their patronage. They are very off-putting and appear to be angry. I am not a problem customer and usually stop-in, grab a case of beer and head to the counter. I've never complained or made any kind of hassle and it's never been busy when I'm there. Sounds petty, but it leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth everytime. Pricing is not great either. I avoid this place when time and travel isn't an issue. read more

The store has a great selection of beers and wines. Plus, it is in a wonderful location. However, the female cashier was extremely rude and had a condescending tone when she rang us up. She asked my wife for her ID in a tone and gesture that was absolutely inappropriate. Sadly, we will not return to this store. I've tried and tried, literally spending in 1 visit, $585.00, to support Lowry liquors. However, I'm done. On 2 seperate occassions I've asked them to buy beers for me (a case minimum is what i wanted) and they do not bother to follow-up. After attending the Vail beer festival a few weeks ago I stopped at Lowry Liquors to ask them to order a few cases. While there, I spent $140.00 on beer and wine, and have never heard from them again. Even stranger, I've called and called and no one has ever answered the phone. In the last 6 months I've spent at least 1 grand on beer and they can't or do not want to help me buy more. The manager is lazy and most of the time, doesn't even exit his office in the back of the store. He's never thanked me for buying or even offered to help me carry the cases to my car. I bet the owners do not know this although i'd like to tell them. The place has a wonderful beer selection although they don't seem to want to sell it. I'm done, ron guillot read more

This liquor store had the most inappropriate employees of any Denver liquor store I've shopped at. I've read the current reviews and was excited to move to the Lowry area and still shop at this store, but was quickly disappointed in the service. The employees are caddy and rude. Although the liquor store itself presents nicely the employees make the experience regretful. Being a Denver native I support all local businesses. I've lived in Cheeseman Park, Uptown, Congress Park areas and I've never experienced the attitude these employees displayed. It's a disappointment to call this place a local establishment and I'll be happily supporting other respectful local businesses. read more

Like they have such a large selection he just wasn't sure what brand began with an "S". I was the only one in the store and he was completely put out that I asked a question.
