The 16oz ribeye and twice baked potato. Standing on end even.....
    Joe D.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice spot off the beaten path.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd drive up here before down to the Bentonville area. We did get reservations, but only called an hour and a half before. I am sure we were fortunate with the timing, but there were empty tables, not a lot, but a few as we were seated. They have a sign that says reservations will not be seated before their scheduled time. This was accurate as our 7 pm started seating at 7 exactly. One call out is that even if you don't get seated before your designated time, if you want a choice of open table when seating begins, they give you status on selecting your table on when you arrived and checked in for your reservation. Odd, but not a issue. The menu is straight forward and they have a large board on the wall listing different types of starches and veggies. Potatoes are listed as a starch, don't they qualify for both? There was an unlisted special the evening we were there of 16oz ribeye. There are a few other options on the menu that will suffice for most diners. Food was very flavorful with the ribeye being perfectly seared and prepared as requested. Their double baked potatoes were also solid. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, not fancy, but for the area it is in, upscale.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would choose it again over the fancy places in Bentonville, Rogers, and Fayetteville.

1/2 slab pork ribs this picture does not even show how many you get! Tasty!!!

Last night we had their special which happened to be fall off the bone pork ribs! So good! They had a delicious potato salad and coldslaw! There was so much we brought home leftovers for another whole meal! We also had the fried green beans with horsey sauce as an appetizer and cream brûlée as dessert! The staff is always very friendly and kind!

Oh man! Hidden gem in the middle of the country. Food was amazing. I expect this caliber at a fancy steakhouse in NWA. Worth the drive. Haven chicken was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Salmon was delicious.

One our go places when in the area. Fried green beans are delish. It has a view of big sugar creek and has a well deserved reputation as a foodie kinda place. Lunch will cost around 20 bucks so not cheap but a great place to enjoy lunch. A definite must when in the area.

Beautiful setting on the old mill pond at Havenhurst. The mill burned down in '62, but this small unimposing restaurant/tavern was built where the old mill stood. Marvelous fusion of classic French cuisine and Ozark home cooking. The fried green bean appetizer we had was unique and very good. Everyone in our party thought the chef did justice to their order. I had a rare sirloin steak and thought it very good. Most of the folks in our party got the special of the day, which was pork chops. They loved it. Service was prompt, attentive, and friendly. How interesting to see classic French preparations served with down-to-earth Ozark friendliness!

    A great view.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This charming hidden gem offers a wonderful and a lovely view of the Little Sugar Creek waterfall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was outstanding, the staff friendly, and the food was good. My husband had the Prime Rib and stated it was the best he has ever had. I was craving filet mignon, but it was not one of the two steak options being served on New Year's Eve. I opted for the sirloin and was a little disappointed that it lacked the tenderness I anticipated. We will return as we have heard others rave about their burgers, the charm of dining al fresco, and we also want to see what their tavern next door is like.

Very good customer service. I had the Saturday night special, a chicken breast smothered in a port and fig sauce served with parmesan green beans and sweet potatoes. with the Spring rains, the waterfall added to the overall ambience.

Prime Rib, pasta, horseradish and aus ju sides.

First thing I noticed is that the menu I was given had a hole in it, and an employee's child was running around the restaurant bothering the guests. The birthday girl ordered crab legs with the lemon pepper sauce: mild. Very soon after she started eating, she noticed that the sauce was not mild. She found it to be very spicy. After awhile, she told the waitress it was too spicy, and she asked for melted butter so she could add it to the sauce and make it less spicy. But it was still too spicy. Then we called the waitress over and told her it was still too spicy. Instead of taking it back and giving my friend a new order, the waitress kept defending it, as if her talking about it being mild would make it mild and thereby change my friend's experience of it being too spicy. The waitress brought my friend another bowl of butter, but by that time, my friend was no longer enchanted with the meal. As we continued eating, all the staff were clattering around, making a racket, moving chairs and even mopping up the floor with a disgusting pan and mop while we were still in the midst of eating. This spoiled my friend's birthday. She said that she would not ever come back to this restaurant. My experience of the food was great. I asked for moderate spice and I liked the flavor and the spiciness. But I was not impressed by the staff. They should have taken my friend's food back and given her a fresh, unspicey meal.

The food used to be great, which is why we came back, but this visit was incredibly disappointing. The seafood smelled old the moment it came to the table and tasted rancid. It honestly made us question how fresh the food actually is. The drinks were also obviously watered down and lacked any real flavor. What made the experience even worse was the service. Our wait staff barely checked on us the entire meal. Drinks were never refilled, and instead of paying attention to tables, the staff spent most of their time standing around the bar talking. It felt like customers were an inconvenience. After mentioning our experience to others, I realized we are not the only ones noticing the decline in quality and service. I have heard similar complaints from several people recently. I have also heard concerns that many of the glowing reviews may be coming from friends and family rather than actual, unbiased customers. Very disappointing because this used to be a place I enjoyed and recommended. Unfortunately, I will not be returning unless major changes are made.

First I'll say that I had studied the menu posted on here and when we got there it has changed so I will post the updated menu. We started with the calamari. On the old menu it came with marinara, spinach and peppadew peppers. Sounded fantastic! New menu came with marinara and cherry peppers. Eh, not as exciting but we went ahead with it. What came out was so disappointing! There is a photo here on yelp of a ribeye steak with a basket of calamari in the background that looks really good. What we got was completely different. Pre-breaded frozen rings in a heavy, flavorless batter. They were greasy and there were no cherry peppers or garnish of any kind. The marinara was bleh and sweet. No amount of salt helped either the marinara or the calamari. The dish was in serious need of some acid to cut through all the grease, batter and sweet marinara so I asked for some lemon wedges. They were out of lemons. Next should have been the salad but it came out with the meal instead. That always irks me. Anyway I had gone with the wedge because photos of the house and caesar salads looked pretty boring. The wedge was delicious. A little bit more dressing would have been great but the blue cheese crumbles, jam and tomatoes were on point and the lettuce was crisp and refreshing. Then the entree. Old menu had a 16 oz ribeye for $40, now they offer a 14 oz for $50. Again, I went ahead with it. The farm-to-table beef was what brought us in. I ordered medium rare and felt like it was just barely there, maybe that was just tonight or maybe that's how they always do it, IDK. It was tender, juicy and had great beef flavor, the rancher that raised it did a great job. The cook? Not so much. It needed salt, in fact I don't think there was any seasoning on it at all from the kitchen. I'm a steak purist but a little salt and pepper go a long way and a pat of butter on top really sets it off. Some of the photos here on yelp show beautiful steaks with butter and chives on top. This was just steak. Excellent quality, poor execution. Now let's talk about the side dish. The menu said "roasted corn with bacon, onions, cream and parmesan". Sounds fantastic, right? I can see an image of it in my head and almost taste it! What I got though was absolutely gross and they should have been embarrassed to serve. I guess it was canned corn because frozen should have tasted fresher. It was NOT roasted. The kernels were tough and starchy like field corn, not sweet corn. There were no onions and no parmesan but it was floating in some milk or half and half, I couldn't tell which. Not cream. And it had some bacon in there which was what I picked out and ate because it was the only edible part of the dish. Last was dessert. I was dying to try the ooey gooey butter cake but alas, that was on the old menu, not this one. So we settled for carrot cake. It was a big serving and it tasted fine but it was just a standard bakery cake. It was garnished with whipped cream and caramel which I felt was out of place but hubby liked. The cream cheese frosting was good and there was lots of carrot and raisins in it. Overall the entire meal was just a big "miss" for both of us. Our server was nice and the rest of the staff as well. The place was nicely decorated and had a great deck out back. But when we heard farm-to-table beef I guess we envisioned more than grocery store frozen calamari, nasty corn and basic bakery cake. Even the steak although of excellent quality was lacking, due to under seasoning and under cooking it. The entire experience was just a big disappointment unfortunately. I hope it was an off night for them but we won't be back to find out.

Great recommendations and when the special we ordered was sold out we were able to change the fish for the same prep. Started with a blueberry margarita, which was tart but excellent. I like grapefruit (I peel it like an Orange and eat the wedges without sugar) so right up my alley. Even my wife (who doesn't like grapefruit) loved this drink. Had the Ceviche app. Really good. I am kind of a ceviche expert (have been eating it and a similar food called kelaguin all over the world) and this may be the best we have had in the States. We shared the lobster ravioli and a pecan crusted red snapper (the monkfish was sold out) and both were great. Ravioli was exceptional. Three pieces, shrimp and perfect sauce. Lots of lobster in the filling. The snapper which again was the substitute for the monkfish was light with a more subtle flavor but was served with really good mashed potatoes and broccoli. Unfortunately the ravioli came out first (had to change the fish so slight delay) so the strength of the ravioli flavor would have been better as the second shared entree due to the subtleness of the pecan crusted snapper. But really that is not a complaint. Tight rooms, packed with tables and people. Even so not too loud to have a conversation and everyone was super nice. We will eat here again next time we visit.

AMBIANCE Simple and unpretentious with a lot of (you guessed it) fishing-related and coastal decor. There's a dining patio of sorts when you first enter with a fan and more lighting, but you can walk in further for more air-conditioned seating. We walked in one evening craving a no-frills solid seafood spot and we found it here. You walk in and there's a huge menu billboard and order at the counter, pay, and you get a buzzer and can find a table anywhere! SERVICE Efficient and straightforward...we ordered and within 10 minutes our buzzer rang and we picked up our food on a tray and brought it back. FOOD This is where it delivers! The seafood tastes fresh, seasoned well, and cooked without being overcomplicated. We ordered the grilled plate with rainbow trout that was served with beans, rice, and grilled zucchini and squash vegetables. Loved the grill marks and thought it was very simple, balanced, and cooked just right. We also tried the fried catfish fillet and shrimp with fries and hushpuppies, which came out hot and crispy without feeling greasy or overbreaded. Tasted great with the tartar sauce. We felt the portions were solid for the price and everything feels consistent. We'd heard great things about the key lime pie on here... and it absolutely lived up to it. The slice was generous for the price, and the flavor of the key lime pie filling delivered. It was bright, creamy, and just the right amount of tangy without being too much sweetness. And the crust? Exactly how it should be. You know the kind that crumbles apart...or turns into a rock-hard dense layer you fight through with your fork? Not this one! This one held together but still gave easily with each bite, so you actually get that perfect balance of filling and graham crust every time. I didn't expect to say this but goodness this is the $7.95 pie that gets it right....and if I could buy it as a birthday cake, I would! Definitely would come back to try any of the other seafood plates on the menu *and* more key lime pie! :)
