Every person we interacted with were amazing, kind, professional, compassionate. My mom was a high maintenance client, but they were firm but friendly. I will forever be grateful for the team at Elisio that made those months that were stressful and scary...for both of us, bearable. The receptionists upon entering the building, always bright and bubbly, always on point, juggling residents, visitors...all the things, with smiles and amazing energy. The NAC, CNA's RN's, rehab personnel, and the case managers, ....so kind and knowledgeable, I had incredible conversations with accounting - never a fun call, but they just worked with us, helped us, guided us, and were truly there every step of the way. Nobody wants their family member in long term nursing care. It's hard, but sometimes there are just no options, and Elisio was absolutely the best option.

Staff is attentive and very pleasant PT and OT were very good and made sure they gave my husband the attention needed to regain his strength Cons Parking is horrible. I spoke to the Administrator about when I saw at least six staff members parking in front rather than around the back so there was no room for visitors, He was almost rude and pretty much stated it wasn't his problem. Food was less than stellar. They were supposed to take orders so you didn't have to eat the meal of the day, sometimes that happened and sometimes not. Way over salted but when my husband mentioned that he was told they didn't salt anything. Might want change who the food is sourced from. Beds were so uncomfortable according to my husband. Activities were not something most would want to participate in, It was better than some but there is still room for improvement and if the higher staff members don't see a problem then nothing changes

The only reason I am giving one star is because a zero or negative rating is not an option…read more My 94-year-old mother was admitted to Avamere Transitional Care of Puget Sound on a Saturday evening with casts on both arms extending from her fingers to above her elbows. Upon arrival, she was served a meal consisting of a hoagie roll with two very thin slices of turkey, a piece of Kraft cheese cut in half, cold fries, and fruit that was unrecognizable. This raised immediate concerns about basic care and nutrition. The goal of short term rehabilitation is to help patients regain strength, improve their health, and return home to their normal activities. Unfortunately, our experience was the opposite. My mother became weaker with each passing day. Given her condition, it should have been immediately clear that she required assistance with basic tasks. However, it took until the following day for staff to recognize that she was unable to feed herself. When assistance was requested for toileting, a CNA stated in front of me that my mother could use her diaper and would be cleaned later. This appeared to be standard practice, as she was frequently left in bed until the afternoon and not regularly assisted to the restroom. As a result, her hygiene declined significantly. A physical therapist later expressed concern about her condition, noting that at 3:30 PM she was still in bed and had not been properly cared for. Communication throughout her stay was extremely poor. There were constant staff changes, and no clear continuity of care. Nursing and physical therapy appeared to operate in separate systems with little coordination. Despite multiple requests, we were never able to speak with a physician at any point during her stay. During this time, my mother developed pneumonia. We have since moved her to another facility. Within the first 30 minutes of her arrival at Orchard Park, she received more care and attention than she did during the entire two weeks at Avamere. I fear for patients who do not have an advocate, as they may be left with little to no care. Overall, the level of care, communication, and coordination fell well below expectations.

KG's staff is always warm, friendly and listen well to little things we want or need, yet they are always professional.

My grandmother the last time I saw her was very thirsty and hungry- the one staff member in the building she was in was busy with other residents. My grandmother has one sippy cup of water placed out of her reach, when she was unable to sit up and reach it. The only food she had available was a few bags of empty chocolate kisses. I was shocked. Why was my grandmother so incredibly thirsty that she was literally gulping down water? And hungry? For a place that costs over 11k per month, this is unacceptable. The individual employees are nice but sadly, overworked and understaffed. My grandmother was put on hospice a few days later for her "refusal to eat". She was also heavily medicated because attending to her was becoming difficult, at least according to that staff member I talked to. This is all unacceptable and my sweet grandmother deserved better.

There will never be enough words to write for the gratitude my family has for this staff of incredible people. My grand mother was here for the better part of 4 years, and in that time each individual person from the front desk, kitchen , service staff, house keeping, hair dresser and nurses became her extended family. The Personal care was so unique to each person living there. The sound vista family learns everything about the resident and works every minuet to making their life as happy and for filled as possible. They have activities weekly, workouts, games, movie nights, you name it they do it. Wonderful day trips and so much more! This is Not the stigma of assisted living. This is a safe, clean, beautiful, comfortable, warm and caring home. **Most importantly is the staff. The people who work there are so kind, friendly and accommodating. **The nursing staff literally are ANGELS. How one place got such a talented, warm hearted, compassionate group of nurses is beyond belief. My grandmother was loved, cherished, RESPECTED, and cared for until the day she passed. The staff has always treated our family like one of their own and welcomed us with open arms. My grandma lived 4 extra beautiful years ( until 98 years old) because of this incredible staff of people. Thank you Sound Vista Village and everyone of you who were so important and special to my Grandma and our family's lives. We will be eternally grateful.
