I could have called, but the spa opened at 9am, and I didn't want to make a phone call in the car knowing I will be there soon. When I tried to check in, the front desk associate Kirstan Fournier berated me for being late. She said that I was unacceptably late, that Elena has a full day ahead, and that she doesn't know if Elena can accommodate me so they would have to take a no-show fee (which is my deposit). I was very apologetic and said I understood if I needed to reschedule. At this point, Elena came out and said that she could fit me in, but instead of trusting the Master Aesthetician's judgment, Kirstan said, "We will see what Elena can do, it is stated in your clauses that there is a no show fee and you obviously can't read or be on time." The reason why I was very upset is primarily because of the "you obviously can't read" comment. As an Asian woman, this sentence felt distinctly racially motivated. I sat in the spa treatment feeling humiliated and agitated. I reached out to management a few hours later, and the manager Maya told me "I'm sorry you misunderstood what Kirstan had said, we are not a business that allow discrimination." So it is the whole i'm sorry you feel this way, but it's your fault for not understanding correctly, our staff didn't do anything wrong, it's all on you for mishearing and misunderstanding. When I asked for a logical explanation i.e. would you (other staff) remember something was not said to you but just as a surrounding conversation half a day ago? She had no answer for me. I am very disappointing in lack of responsibility the manager & staff are taking. All I wanted was an apology and they told me I imagined the whole thing. TEXTBOOK GASLIGHTING. This is even more disturbing than the previous incident. The business is not willing to take responsibility but rather denies all wrong doings.

The concept of this facial spa is you pay a set price and whatever your face needs, will be part of the facial. I respect this, because I don't have to worry about "add-ons" and feel I'm getting my money's worth depending on what it needs. The aesthetician who does my facials is Summer, and I definitely recommend her because she really extracts those THINGS FROM MY FACE. I feel super satisfied because I genuinely feel clean. If you get a chance to check this spa I recommend booking with Summer asap because she gets booked for months. The facials I believe are $120. SUPER CLEAN AND WORTH IT!

I love the fact that skincare here is not just a blanket service. One thing I like here is you will never have a service rushed. They don't overbook and aren't running back to back where you give the unassuming person in the lobby a look of guilt that they were waiting on your service to end, and feel bad. Nope, not here. Was so excited to finally treat myself with my second massage ever and the free facial they include as a first month option. (This is not available to transfer to other locations nor a massage...I would have done so in a heartbeat if could do either as this location is 45 min from me. I understand that though, of course, makes sense.) I work and study very long hours, and have never pampered myself much, so I was really looking forward to it. Filled out forms prior, had the best time with Ashley, was feeling relaxed and blissful, and was met by a woman immediately after walking out of my massage asking if I had gotten Botox recently, which was on my form filled out prior to arriving at the location altogether.
