I have been going to Miranda for 2 years now, and even when I moved out of the area (almost 2 hours away) I still drove to have my hair done by the one and only Hair Angel, Lock Goddess, Miranda! When I first came to Miranda, I was looking for a Mane Savior...My hair had been damaged and my scalp had been burned by a previous stylist. I was letting it grow out so when I came to her I had long roots, yellow ends and "a very interesting cut" as I think I remember Miranda calling it lol....That's because I was scared to go back to trust another stylist, so I attempted to cut it myself....Not a good idea. When Miranda says she is a color specialist and furthermore, specializes in natural looking, easy to maintain, low maintenance, beachy color...she means it and excels beyond expectations. Miranda brought salvation to my tresses! In my first visit she did a color correction, a cut, and restored my glory. In the second visit she did an all over highlight and built some beautiful dimension into my now, very healthy, easy to maintain, beautiful hair. I am pretty lazy about styling my hair so Miranda does my cut & color in a ways that it still looks really good even when I do nothing to my hair but wash it. I simply will not go to anyone else...wherever Miranda goes, I will go, and I highly recommend her, as she has more experience than she even appears old enough to to have (I think 20ish years), and she continues to stay educated on new trends and technology, attending seminars, and classes, and offers the best products. I made my first trip to see Miranda earlier this month. Let me say...she is a hair magician! My previous hair had some balayage/highlights that I didn't love and my hair had turned orange-ish/red. I asked Miranda if she could get the red hue out for me as I'm having my wedding elopement in early October. She said that she would cool down my base color and incorporate some blonde dimension. She said she may not be able to be get all of the red out in the first visit (which is totally understandable) but when she was done my hair looked amazing! Not only is Miranda a wonderful person, she is truly the best at her craft!! I'm so glad I found her! I'm in my 40's and my hair isn't the easiest to deal with, it's thick and frizzy, and I have quite a bit of grey that requires dark brown permanent root color applications at ~6-week intervals. I also get balayage highlights and Miranda is able to lighten my hair to a beautiful blonde color (see photos). I can attest that lightening hair through previously dyed hair is not an easy process--it usually comes out very orange--but not Miranda, she is highly skilled and knows just how to prevent the orange undertones from showing through. She gave me a beautiful cut with the perfect amount of subtle highlights. My hair looks like it is naturally this color! I'm obsessed with it. My salon experience was also very pleasant. Miranda engages in conversation, but also didn't talk my ear off, which I appreciated. I like to just zone out sometimes when I'm getting my hair done and she let me do that. There was one point where I had to lay back in the chair and let the toner sit, and Miranda left the room. I had a few minutes to myself in the room, with great music playing and I fell asleep because I was so relaxed!
