I got incredibly lucky the day I took my son to Havertown Electric for his first tattoo and Mike DiCicco was available for a walk in. He was super personable, helped my son relax and made sure he was getting what he wanted. I went back 2 weeks later for a small tattoo for myself and then within months, was collaborating with Mike on a half sleeve incorporate a cover-up. I gave Mike reference photos of the 2 dragons I wanted, some high-level ideas and a deposit and he turned that into a beautiful piece. We had sessions every two weeks for 3 months and I can confidently say he is consistently friendly, chill, cares about his clients' comfort, has little ego and really wants people to love their ink. Following his advice was never a mistake, he's an artist you can trust. I'm already planning my next big piece. Beyond Mike, the shop itself is great. I can't believed I stumbled upon this amazing tattoo shop. It was 8 mins away from my home and easy to find. It's super clean and there's a small parking lot in front. I thought I wouldn't be able to get my tattoo on a random Wednesday and these guys made it happen! They're professional, informative but oh so cool. It took all of 10 mins and I was done. I so love my new ink. They have a minimum of $60 which is way cheaper than most places and they do some amazing work. Will be coming here for rest of my ink!!! read more

I went here in January of 2015 to get my first tattoo of an olive wreath on my shoulder. The staff there could have been nicer and they sort of made me feel awkward about my inexperience with tattoos as if I was inconveniencing them with my specific requests/ questions. This is going to be on my body for the rest of my life after all. After a couple weeks my tattoo started fading. The tattoo cost $120 which is definitely overpriced for the size of the tattoo that I got. So in April I finally went back for a touch-up which was a free guarantee so that was good. I still received a mild attitude from the different guy who did the touch-up this time around simply because I was inquiring about the color of my tattoo and I wanted to make sure that the grey color would stay vibrant. Overall I am happy with the way my tattoo looks like now but for anyone who is getting a tattoo for the first time and wants a cooperative tattoo artist with reliable work at a good price, this may not be the best place for you. read more
