Poor quality furniture. Customer service is not great either. Do not purchase their extended warranty. If you decide you want to cancel at a later point they won't give your money back even though they will upsell you at the time of purchase and lie that it is refundable. The store at Cedar Park, TX in particular has a really sneaky manager who will schmooze you just to get the sale. This was just a very unpleasant transaction for me. I won't be going back. read more

The two expensive leather power recliner couches I purchased from Haverty's are attractive to look at but horrible to sit on. There is a huge gap where the seat cushion meets the back cushion that makes both couches extremely uncomfortable and painful on the lower back. The huge gap is present while simply sitting upright or reclining. It's awful and so bad for the back to have a huge open void like that when you're just sitting upright on the couches. The stuffing on the couches and recliner armchair also compresses and leaves dented in areas. But the huge gap is the worst! read more

Needed a new mattress and got great customer service from salesperson Ron Culpepper but the experience turned south with the delivery. I was told that Havertys would haul off the my old mattress. it was one of the reasons I chose Havertys for my purchase. My old mattress sat on an adjustable frame and I assumed that would be included in the haul off. The rude delivery guy told me curtly it wasn't and abruptly left so I was stuck with the frame and had to pay $160 to have it hauled off. read more

Rude, I walked in there, was greeted by a lady. I told her I was looking for a u shaped sectional she told me they didn't have that (really??) a quick google search could've showed that they did. Maybe it was because I came in 30 minutes to close. I've never experienced such blunt unwillingness to help a customer. I will start to say the salespeople in the store and in store experience is very nice. Everything falls apart when you buy something. We had spent a while looking at new couches for the living, and kids getting older finally decided to get something NICER. We had heard how high class and good service Harvertys was. Again, in store just fine, but when looking at spending $6,000 just for a couple of seats we paused to think about it. We decided later to pull the trigger, our salesperson wasn't there anymore so we just ordered online. In the store, we were sold up and down how great the warranty would be, but we wouldn't need it because the leather was HIGH QUALITY. Ordered it in Oct 2020, hoping to get it in time for Christmas and surgery so that I would have a comfortable place to hang out recouping. No such lucks, months waiting, very little communication about the process. Finally, they came, set up was good, no physical delivery of the warranty info ($500 - 5 year - "everything will be alright" warranty). Less than 18 months later, we had the issues in the pictures, couches are peeling, and staples are now exposed. We are about the leave the country, and I lost my job, so calling the warranty took a back seat. We called about two months after we noticed. They denied the warranty claim; good news, I found a job (I spent time doing that instead of calling the warranty company who did not provide me any paperwork more or less the craziness that you have only 30 days from damage to make a claim; should have just lied and said five days later...) Don't bother buying expensive furniture that peels, breaks, and lack of service. read more

Let me start off by saying, most of our household furniture has been purchased from Haverty's. With that being said, if there were any other furniture stores in N Austin with a decent selection, I would never return. We like the quality of the products, even though delivery is always questionable. Like most delivery people, they give you a 4-5 hour window and generally show up late. This time we decided to purchase a bedroom set for my husband's mother. We chose to go online to purchase in an attempt to limit the interactions with the staff. The delivery team was on time and very friendly this time (wow!). After seeing the furniture in the room we decided to purchase an additional bed side table, so we went to the store to purchase and hopefully take the nightstand with us. As we walked in the store we were greeted by the obligatory greeter. We asked if he could look up our order so that we could easily find the correct set. He apparently did not know how to do this, nor seem to be willing to try to help, so we wandered around the store until we found what we wanted. We took a photo of the tag and a pretty vase I wanted and headed up to the counter to try to check out. Seems reasonable to me! The lady and man sitting at the computer munching on Cheetos told that we had to check out with the man that greeted us...even though we found the products ourselves. She offered to page him for us and we started to walk away. A few steps away I hear her make a comment about how she would be paging the guy to help us buy a vase as in the vase wasn't worth their time. Obviously she didn't know we were buying a table as well and wasn't interested in assisting us. Snarky comment heard...at least be quieter next time. Our sales associate walks up and apparently isn't familiar with the computer and check out process so the original lady who wouldn't check us out had to come over and help. It's amazing how sugary sweet sales people can be when they see you typing on Yelp. Lol. Long story short, we ended up being told NOW that not only can we not take the nightstand with us today, but that we will pay the exact same amount but have to pick it up Thursday AND assemble it ourselves. Great customer service...I mean really...hopefully you can read the sarcasm. But honestly, we haven't found anywhere else to go. My recommendation, buy online and deal with the huge window for delivery. But buy all at once as they are not easy to purchase additional products from. read more

I have been a fan of Haverty's for years as they sell you quality furniture. This particular location is huge with a wide variety and selection. I was not a complete fan of this location compared to the one in South Austin. We had to tell our salesperson two times that we want to look around before we reach out to them. We did end up purchasing a few bar stools and entertainment center. Overall, I will come here again because of the Haverty's name. read more

Beware of sales people selling you furniture with an extended warranty. Also, beware of poorly made furniture. I am super disappointed with Haverty's. We purchased 2 full rooms of furniture from them with an extended 5 year warranty. Our salesperson advised that short of taking a knife and stabbing our furniture, everything was covered... INCLUDING wear and tear. And if they couldn't fix it, they would replace it. This is not the truth. Over the months after purchasing our dining set from Haverty's scratches started to appear in the finish of one of the benches. I contacted Haverty's just around the 1 year mark and said to myself... this piece of furniture has not faired well for just 12 months old. I contacted Haverty's who came out and advised that they could not fix it and to contact the insurance company, "Guardsman". I contacted Guardsman and they denied my claim because it happened over time. I contacted Haverty's and they advised there was nothing they could do to make Guardsman cover it. I expressed my dissatisfaction and disappointment. They advised that they would see if they could review it and do anything on their end. A week later, I receive a call saying that they cannot. That's unfortunate, Haverty's. We are moving in less than 30 days and I have a new home to furnish with 4 additional rooms. Your loss. I will not shop there ever again. read more

As we walked in James greeted us by immediately saying "everything in this store is $1,000 and up". Very unprofessional for him to judge a customer by looks without knowing anything about our budget. Product quality gets a B, customer service a D+. Some nine months ago we purchased a reclining sofa and four beds from Havertys for major $$$. About a month ago, the boxspring used by my youngest son (70 lbs., with autism) broke in several places, with a metal rod and wood pieces sticking out, because he likes to jump on the bed. We had a protection plan with Guardsman ($250, useless) but they refused to replace the boxspring because wood breakage isn't covered. The salespeople at Havertys were polite and helpful, but their "protection plans" aren't worth a dime. Sign me disgusted. (I'd upload photos, but Yelp apparently doesn't allow for that.) read more

The sales person either did not know the furniture nor the prices or simply lied. I'd like to think she didn't lie. The very reason we chose the love seat and sofa from Haverty's instead of the other 6 stores we went is the same option the sales person sold us on. Guess what? It doesn't exist. Havertys required payment in full prior to scheduling delivery for our new furniture. When we ordered the rugs and furniture I explained that we had a short window and I was expecting delivery in time for my daughters engagement party on the 27th. The sales manager would not confirm he could get my items here without payment. When delivery showed up the 2 area rugs were not on the truck. An additional piece of glass was missing for the sofa table and I was not notified so I had to refused delivery. This company claims to have an interior design team that can assist you in making your furniture choices. I found them to be a disappointment. 2 of Havertys sales representatives (Design team) came to my house, we spent 2 hours and when they sent me their recommendations they did not fit the room at all. Since there isn't a Pflugerville location on Yelp, I'll post about my experience here for others in the Austin area. Major disappointment with Havertys. Spent over $6,000 on a dining table, 6 dining chairs, a bar cabinet, and 2x recliners. Upon delivery, the bar cabinet was missing its handles. Here we are almost 3 months after the initial purchase, and only 1 handle shows up at our house...pointless. One of the chairs in the dining set needed wood glue at a joint because it was separating. When the recliners arrived, one was missing it controler. I had to go by the store to get a controller, which clearly came used from a floor model judging by how it was presented to me. For the cost, Havertys failed us on multiple levels right up to today, where they couldn't even send both missing bar cabinet handles at the same time. I am done with this company and would recommend against handing over your money to them. The quality is just okay but the fact multiple items showed up incomplete after what we spent, leaves me with the opinion that they're overpriced due to the lacking attention to detail and quality of service across the board. At least at Ikea, you end up with extra parts for what you pay. If I knew I was going to be missing parts and repairing brand new furniture, I would have never stepped foot in this store. read more

The customer service rep was wonderful. We spent about $8k on furniture. However, applying for the credit card was a fiasco resulting in very slow processing, many long phone calls, lack of clarity, and billing cycle confusion. As a result, Havertys offered a $200 gift certificate for use online or in the store. Covid hit and the certificate ended up expiring. About a year passed ( mother died and Covid illnesses) before I was able to call and address the certificate so I could apply it to some purchases I had in mind. The issuing store rep and then manager said there was nothing they could do since the certificate expired. I escalated the matter to a supervisor at the corporate level and she reiterated the expiration date issue and offered nothing else. The Covid emergency hadn't officially been lifted and still no grace was extended. I won't shop there ever again. read more

I just want to say I had the best experience at Havertys! I literally looked all over for a new sofa set and I went to Ashley's,Living spaces and rooms to go! As for the prices they averages about the same for a set but what I got at Havertys was great service and amazing Quality furniture that is beautiful with style and they also have layaway! Hardly anyone has layaway anymore because I didn't want to use credit and get in more debt! I'm floored! My sales person is Brian and he was very patient with me and asked lots of questions to narrow it down to something I liked and he listened to me! He was super nice and helpful and they also can customize fabrics for you but I didn't want to wait anymore for a new couch lol it takes 2 months to custom order and receive furniture.I paid for my sofa and put a big chair and ottoman on layaway and they were amazing,I had it delivered on a Saturday in a few days!! I'm so pleased and I hav ea 5 year warranty.I was so happy I went back and put a bedroom set on layaway which is heavy duty I'm super excited about! They also have temperPedic beds which is my dream bed! You can put that on layaway too! The quality of the sofa I purchased is one thing (shockingly bad) but the Customer Service is even worse. Hands down the worst customer service I have ever received. Trac was fabulous and professiona. she worked with me abs my idea for this remodel that I am doing on a 6000 sq ft house. furniture was ordered and patiently waited for it to be delivere. This morning my products were delivered and set up so well. I was stressing out about this delivery in the middle of a rain storm but my 2 delivery guys were perfect. I didnt get there names but the best hard working guys I have in a long time. They had to climb 18 steps each way to unload alot of furniture and no issues with breaking anything. they got it figured out and such a marvelous experience with Haverty's from the sales person to the delivery guys. so professional, on time and so patient. thank you so much for a wonderful experience. read more

We purchased a bedroom set including a mattress and box springs from the store in Fort Myers. At the time of purchase the box springs were not in stock but we were told that they would be in way before our delivery date. I received and email telling me to schedule to delivery of the box springs so I picked the same date as the main delivery. Fast forward 2 weeks later and the box springs are gone and they can't deliver them until 10 after the first delivery. I mentioned that the bed is useless without the box springs but they couldn't have cared less and just wanted to get me off the phone. BUYER BEWARE!!! I called for service today to remove some screws from a desk that was installed a few years ago. The service department flat-out refused to help me. Even after I offered to pay for the service they said they were unwilling to do the service. I was shocked! They claim "top drawer service" WHAT A JOKE! The worlds worst, worst service! We decided to splurge a little on our bedroom set instead of going to Rooms To Go (which I wish we would've gone with them). Just couldn't find something I liked. Sales man was great. Delivery guys (the lead one) was not friendly at all, almost rude. The second guy was friendlier. They did drop my dresser on my stairs and left scuff marks that don't come off. Called the store on a Monday left message (during business hours). Now it's Thursday and no call back. I did call them and a person answered and when I asked for the sales manager he said she was with a customer. I asked for her name and he said he couldn't give me her name. I called back within 15 minutes and same person answered he continued to tell me the store manager was not there, he said he was wrong on the first call. Ridiculous! The store is not that big and you would think you work in the office area and answer the call you should know who is there or not! Bad customer service. read more

When you buy from Haverty's you expect quality and service (or at least that's what they want you to think), unfortunately, after 2 purchases, I have experienced neither. Firstly I bought a recliner there a few months ago. I worked from home on the day of delivery and was impressed with their site that let's you track exactly where the delivery truck is. They arrived on time, unloaded the chair and asked me to sign for it. Luckily I did an inspection first and found a large tear in the fabric - one so large if the item had been inspected before being put on the truck anyone would have noticed it. I then had to wait a week, work from home again and take delivery of the replacement chair which was fine. A couple of weeks ago I bought a display case from the same store. I had to work from home once more, and again the delivery team was on time but again there was an issue that any half organized company would have noticed before the item was put on the truck: The display case had a lock on it and the keys were missing. I had to wait another week, I'm not sure why considering the price I paid for the item and the $100 delivery - they should have sent someone, anyone, over with a spare key that day or the next. I took another day working from home (that's 4 now for the 2 deliveries) and the key arrived. The delivery man then put the glass shelving on without wearing gloves, leaving huge greasy prints all over the glass shelving and left. In between deliveries the assistant GM called me to apologize and said he would call me back the weekend after delivery to check everything was OK and to discuss compensation. I haven't heard a thing. One thing I recall him saying is "that's not how we work here, this just doesn't happen to us". Strange that I am 0-2 then and a lot of others on here seem to have had issues too... read more

Terrible place to buy furniture. Get accosted as you walk in by commission sales people who will not leave you alone. Went in 3 days before black Friday, and wanted to see a bed they were going to have on special. The sleazy sales guy told me "this is the cheap bed", but waiting in line black Friday is for idiots and not worth the $50 savings. As soon as he found out I wasted something on sale, he said--oh I have a phone call. ON the way out, he found me and said why am I not buying today, I said "I'll wait with the idiots." It was finally time to replace our sofa. We've never shopped at Havertys so decided to give them a shot. When we walked in we were greeted by Danny. Can I just tell you how absolutely wonderful Danny is? I mean, your last expectation of sales person in furniture salon. Danny gave us our space, pointed out to specific locations of the store and educated us on what works and what doesn't based on our needs. We quickly find out that original idea of a sectional may not quite work for our living room space. We ended up getting a beautiful leather power reclining sofa which by the way feels amazing!!!! Delivery process went super smooth as well. From confirmation email to ability to track the truck the day of delivery, I couldn't ask for a better service. Let me start out by saying the quality is amazing. I purchased a couch about 4 years ago from here and I got it covered with the stain protector and it still looks great! When I purchased this couch, my son was like 2. This couch has been through a lot. It has had nail polish spilled on it, raspberries rubbed all over it, etc. Anytime something is on it, I just call them and they come out and "clean it" and because of the protector, nothing will stain it. The cushions from the couch have also held up very well and overall the quality is obvious because even after 4 years, the couch still looks pretty great! I will definitely buy from them again. Cheaper stores may have cheaper couches but many of them won't stand the test of time. I am very pleased with my couch. read more

After us driving to 3 different furniture stores it was very refreshing to come into Havertys... No pressure upon entrance just a breif description of the layout and if we needed help by Brian, he approached us after we went around entire store. We had a few questions regarding sofas and mattress. He was very knowledgeable and helpful they even have designers on site for quick decorating opinions. 5 stars for Brian and quality of items purchased Ask for Brian We Purchased 4 items Why 4 stars? upon delivery drivers were polite, friendly worked fast to unload 4 items. Drivers said ok all done 1 guy was already in truck other guy asked me to sign off. I had already looked at mattress upstairs and sofas downstairs. But they forgot to take old mattress upstairs. I did call customer service when I noticed they said not till next week. That's a negative since it was clearly on the invoice , why can't the drivers just come back they just left. Drivers did come back within the hour to pick up old mattress. That evening Brian called asking how it all worked out and he also said not sure why they did not initially pick up old mattress. He was apologetic for the drivers mistake as I seen the invoice which read removal of old mattress. My wife and I purchased a living room sectional, rug and ottoman. We added a protection plan. Within one day, we found a small tear on the edge of ottoman. This obviously happened during transport, as the ottoman wasn't in a high traffic area and we found it ONE DAY after delivery. We contacted havertys and were told we had to contact the protection plan company, which wrote us back to tell us they would not fix it, bc the protection plan didn't cover "stress tears".....we received a tore up product and got swindled into buying a protection plan that I guess doesn't protect a dang thing......thanks havertys. July 19 update: I've increased this review to two stars. My wife reached out to our salesperson Leang and told her our issues. She was very short and said "it's on customer service now, good luck".....obviously this is not the type of customer care we are looking for when you drop thousands of dollars on furniture, so we ended up taking the ottoman into the store. The manager, Christy, was very understanding and agreed that it was a manufacturer defect and it needed to be replaced. She told us to keep the defective one until a new one gets in. She also apologized that we brought it in and next time they could send out a truck to pick it up for us (this was not an option that was given to us by our salesperson). So we are satisfied with havertys response, and I will update my review to more favorable if the new delivered ottoman comes in without any issues read more
