Suzanne is a very knowledgeable sales associate at Haverty's ! She really cares about her clients and the quality of their furniture is outstanding. We will only buy from Suzanne in Melbourne. I needed to update this review, if Suzanne is still there, she is great! The issue that we have are with the extended Furniture Protection Company that they sell. "Guardsmen" is terrible at service when you need them. For what you pay for this protection and the level of service that they provide is terrible. In my opinion, I would not recommend this addition cost. I have been waiting for three months now to get someone to come out to the house to order a $25.00 part and then we have to wait even more for the part. Meanwhile you can not use the recliner on a very expensive leather couch. Guardsmen farms it out to a third party and they suck, in my opinion!!! read more

Purchased a leather loveseat and couch at final sale. Arm rest pillow put on wrong but was told I could order the correct arm rest pillow and have it installed at my cost. I agreed. However when it came time to order Haverty's told me they no longer do business with the manufacturer. Haverty's would also not provide labor at my cost to correct problem. So now I have no recourse to rectify the wrong armrest. Very disappointed in Haverty's -- supposed to be a quality company. They have given me NO customer service. read more

Suzanne at Havertys went above and beyond. She listened to what I needed and wasn't interested in trying to sell me something I didn't need or didn't want. She didn't try talking me into something just to get a sale; she even cautioned me on making sure I really loved what I was going to buy before I bought it. It's because of her and the great quality at Havertys that I wound up buying 3 bedroom sets. I really love the furniture I picked out and can't wait for it to be delivered. During the pandemic, I know that quantity is scarce and delivery times may be a lot longer. With the pieces I picked out, Suzanne was able to confirm delivery within the month, which worked great for my timeframe. We moved into our condo about 1 1/2 years ago and we bought some beautiful furniture from Haverty's to furnish it with. We were very pleased with our purchases until we noticed that within a year the finish on our cream colored leather sectional was beginning to show wear. My husband has a leather recliner that we purchased at a different store about 10 years ago and it doesn't show any wear of the leather whatsoever. Purchased a Kobe loveseat, accent chair and recliner rocker with the usb ports built in from Bill , from beginning to end in Mocha leather and very nice color by the way matches the accent rug with mocha , maroon western look . Very happy with this and the delivery guys were awesome . Already had an established account with synchrony so easy sale . Two weeks ago went down the street to rooms to go and cancelled order they need to take tips from Havertys . Very professional, mind you both hubby and I are over 70 and not easily charmed . We just bought a new home in Florida and we are on the prowl for some great furniture. We stopped in to Havertys and found some awesome pieces. Our salesman Dave was FANTASTIC. The small issue I've had with delivery was satisfactorily resolved and the management was pleasant to work with.

I purchased a bed and adjustable base from the Haverty's store on 192 in Melbourne, Florida in May 2019. The total purchase price was over $4000. The sales experience itself was pleasant. Sales associate was knowledgeable and not at all pushy. However, my after-sale experience has been so negative that I would probably not shop at Haverty's again or recommend them to any of my friends. It also makes me concerned about what I might experience if I ever have problems with the mattress or base and try to get them resolved through Haverty's. Haverty's price for the mattress I wanted was almost exactly what it was at the other stores I shopped. I did NOT realize that some of the other stores where I had shopped, including Macy's, always offer free delivery while Haverty's apparently normally charges $299.00 for their "Top Drawer Delivery." The first negative experience was with the delivery scheduling. They wanted to schedule me for 8am. I told the representative that was too early for me and was told that if I cancelled it, I wouldn't be able to get delivery until the next week.* So I accepted the delivery time. During the first deliver attempt, they ended up not having all of the parts so had to bring my old boxsprings back in and leave my new mattress on the old boxsprings. At that point I thought about cancelling the adjustable base and getting a refund for it. I was told by my sales associate that if I didn't have a new base or boxsprings, that Stearns and Foster might not honor the warranty on their mattress. I contacted Stearns and Foster and asked them if that was true and they said no, that I didn't need to purchase a new base or box springs for the warranty to be in effect. This discrepancy was a little disconcerting to me. Delivery of the base was rescheduled for Saturday between 4:15 - 6:15 PM. * Again, this seemed contradictory because I thought that I was told that I couldn't cancel the first delivery without having to wait until the next week for delivery. On Saturday, the deliverymen didn't show up until 7:30 PM. I had been waiting for over 3 hours for them to arrive. It was pouring rain when they arrived so they backed the truck into my driveway. While doing that, they knocked a large limb off of an oak tree. When they put the new base together, they again ended up with some pieces missing (just washers this time). I then had to contact customer support again, numerous times, to talk to them about the branch that was knocked down and to try to find out if they would pay for someone to cut up the branch and repair the damage to the tree. I was told that they would. At that time, I told customer service how stressful and time consuming the whole process was and how I had spent many hours waiting for deliverymen and communicating with customer service, the local store, Stearns and Foster, and the landscape company (at least 8 hours total when it was all said and done) but the reaction I got seemed to indicate that my time and stress, as a customer, weren't really that important. I do think that customer support is a HUGE part of what creates customer satisfaction and confidence and Haverty's definitely fell short. Anybody who has shopped for beds or any other kind of furniture knows that the prices are almost identical at every store AND that the stores have some leeway on the deals they can give to their customers. Therefore, reputation and customer service are the deciding factors that make me a returning customer. read more

David went above and beyond helping me recently. I wasn't even a "customer"! I needed to buy replacement wheels and inserts for an old-style bed frame and was looking and shopping everywhere. I found out they no longer are made. David took the initiative and called around and found a set for me at another Haverty's (in Cocoa Beach) free of charge! They are perfect! Thank you David. You are a blessing and a wonderful asset to Haverty's! They're lucky to have you! And by the way, Haverty's has beautiful furniture! read more

Had an appointment with Darlene to look at mattresses. The store was very busy. The salesperson kept running off and disappearing and coming back. Finally did not return. I guess spending over $5K was not worth any attention in this store. While I waited I compared the price to the Tempur-Pedic website and found it was $300 cheaper on the website. So all good. NEVER again will I buy from Havertys. In Dec. of 2015, I received my sofa, part of the now discontinued "Welcome Home" living room seating collection, and within 2 months, the fabric started pilling (sort of like what happens to a sweater over time). After putting in a service call and having a technician come out to take photos, I had replacement covers delivered a month later and in less than a month, the same thing started happening on the replacement covers. Since the sofa, with a $999 price tag, was no longer made (due to poor sales as I was told by the Manager, Angel), I was told I could pick out a new sofa. Great, I thought. Well, considering I purchased the original "Welcome Home" sofa because of the style and color, and subsequently decorated an entire room around it, I was dismayed that it was no longer available, hoping I could just have a different fabric, so Instead, I had to chose a new sofa. The only one they had that was the right fabric, size and available color was priced at $200 less, but instead of refunding the difference, I was told it was "Corporate Policy" that I just be issued store credit. So I get a lesser priced sofa and they keep my money...a $799 sofa cost me $955 (the original price on the Welcome Home sofa on sale). There was nothing in the store I needed, as I just COMPLETELY redecorated my house over the last 6 months, plus all their decorative items are SO ridiculously overpriced, $154 wouldn't have gotten me anything near worth that. It's not like this was a $20 store credit or some trivial amount, but a $155 credit due to me that should have been refunded to my account, since the $955 I originally paid for was for a sofa that was determined defective. So basically I spent $155 more or a replacement sofa than it is worth. How is that even right? My only option was a completely unneeded store credit or overpriced fabric protection. This company completely screws over customers once they have your money. I have purchased 3 different furniture sets from them over the years and I will never, ever set foot in their store again. Company Policy means keeping money that is rightfully due back to the me, the customer, due to the poor workmanship of the furniture they sold me? Havertys, your showrooms may look nice, but when you treat your customers like crap, nice looking furniture doesn't matter at all. ****UPDATE**** I just received a call from the store manager I dealt with yesterday and she contacted Corporate and they agreed to refund my money. At least they did the right thing. Still am not going to shop there again, but at least I got the service all customers rightly deserve. read more

I had great honest service from Debbie in the melbourne showroom, it was very helpful and low pressure. The furniture there is great in my opinion. It's not extravagantly expensive like ethan allen but it is also much higher quality than a lot of the other big box or other chain stores like roomstogo. We went to several stores before havertys and we are glad we ended the day with such superior service. I got the Ashbrooke bedroom set and a new mattress and boxspring. it's beautifuland timeless. 8 months later the furniture has held up beautifully. I would suggest there were only two downsides to whole experience. The most significant downside was that I did NOT find the customer service of their financing company Synchrony bank was anywhere NEAR the caliber of their own business service. I had a lot of trouble receiving my bills from them on time. I called havertys to tell them about my experience and they werwe able to give me a better phone number for direct service which helped (still, Synchrony just did not seem to get their stuff together for me to open an online account and I had to pay by phone once a month without a courtesy email reminder for pay, I set the due dates in my phone) The only other minor downside that can't be helped is that I live in Gainesville so delivery was the only option and the delivery cost is fixed ($150 as of July 2015), so ordering a nightstand alone would probably be a poor situation, but a whole room of furniture would obviously be worth it. The delivery to Gainesville is only once a week and a 6 hour window, which would suck considering that's basically a half to whole day to take off from work, but they DO have a great texting and tracking service so I was fortunate enough to have a flex schedule and leave work when they were a half an hour away by text notification. Another thing that happened was that the standard boxspring was WAY higher than I expected but I called and they swapped the boxspring out the following week for the low profile one I saw in the store free of charge. I would have loved to give this place 5 stars as my shopping experience was amazing, my salesperson Nancy was great and very helpful. She was so great that when my wife and I finally decided to go with Haverty and their sales person Nancy, we arrived right when they opened just to find out that Nancy wouldn't be in until 2 hours later and we made sure to come back in 2 hours. When I ordered my furniture I requested the latest delivery time as possible because my wife and I both work. Biggest complaint right now is; I received two phone calls, a text message, and an email yesterday 5/9 to confirm my delivery today. In all those means of communication they said they'd be at my house between 2:30pm - 4:30pm, I called and asked what happened as I requested the latest possible as we ordered our stuff almost a month ago so we go first pick of delivery time and the lady on the phone said that was the latest for my area. So I worked it out with my Management at work who wasn't too happy about me leaving at 1pm to get home by 2pm so I can be here for the delivery. However, I noticed as I just got home at 1:58pm I missed a call at about 1:37pm from the delivery folks and got a voicemail stating that now my delivery has been pushed out to 5:30pm - 7:30pm. I called back and spoke to a rude lady on the phone that wasn't no help so I called back again and asked to speak to a Manager/Supervisor which they connected me to a lady named Crystal. I explained how much of an inconvenience this is and to see if they could deliver sooner since I'm already home for the day now, the only thing she was helpful about was saying that there's a delivery before mine with 30 pieces and they under estimated the delivery time. This is complete B.S! It's unacceptable to call someone close to 30 minutes before their scheduled delivery to just change the time like that. I hope the quality of the furniture we purchased is not as crappy as the delivery customer service. Not only did I have to waste 4 hours of my vacation time for nothing but now sitting here waiting even longer for a delivery truck. Unacceptable! read more

We bought our living room set at Havertys in May. We bought the piedmont. It only took about a week to be delivered to us... And 6 months to fall apart!!! We went to Havertys thinking we would get quality furniture. Could have gone to any discount furniture store for better quality. In 6 months we had 8 tears in seams on both sofas! It's only my husband and I at home. No Kids, no animals. We arent on it all the time as we both work full time. They started a "service ticket" on November 16th 2015. They are going to replace all the cushions. Another problem was the cushions are very lumpy and do not look neat. It is January 28th 2016 and still NO replacement cushions. They say the parts are being ordered?!?!?! I am done with Havertys and do not recommend anyone wasting their money!!! Go to Rooms to Go over Badcock furniture you will get the same quality. Our furniture has a year warranty so are they waiting for our year to be up before they send us new cushions that are going to tear within 6 months or will we get an extended year after we receive new cushions.
