We've had great experiences at this store. We bought a huge cloth sectional, 4 stunning onyx end tables, and higher-end outdoor patio furniture on separate visit. All were great quality and in perfect condition 4 years later. The sofa was scotch guarded by Kanes, we did the outdoor cushions. Over the last 6 years I've spent over $8,000 on furniture from this story. Leather sofa, two recliners, lamps, queen beds with adjustable frame, pillows, night stands, and an office desk. NONE of this garbage lmade it to 5 years! I have no kids, no pets, and I live alone. The leather is Pleather, fake, and it peeled like sunburn on top of every cushion, I now cover it with a quilt. The recliners broke (electric) and also was a pleather product that failed in 3 years, those I actually sat on. The desk fell apart in 2 years, threw that in the garage as a work bench. The beds held up the longest, but I paid over $3,000 for it, you'd expect it to last. My cheap $500 BJ's mattress is just as comfortable and was a fraction of the price. DO NOT BUY THIS STORES JUNK. I still have the nightstands, they hold up a lamp and manage the task, but if I actually used the drawer on a regular daily basis, it too would fail. I thought Kanes was a step above Rooms to Go, which the salesman said was junk, but no, they're right on par with "college dorm" quality found at any chain. I tried Hagerty's across the street and bought a dining room set. It's heavily used, I sit in the kitchen the most, serve guests, and do my business on that table, so it's worn but it served its purpose. I'll go back to Hagerty, I'll never step foot in Kanes even if it was a $10 day any piece. Photo doesn't lie. AC home, how the hell does a synthetic product fail so fast? My parents moved to Melbourne, and as Spanish speakers, it has been a bit of a challenge to get settled in. Finding furniture was another hassle. They walked in to Kane's Furniture and met David and he was great help. They found furniture they liked! It was on sale and I was able to get it for them from 3k miles away. Furniture was fully delivered and assembled by Kane's delivery team (not outsourced) . After the fact, David even texted me to ask about how delivery went and if my parents were happy. I am very grateful and highly recommend Kane's and their delivery service. The only setback was the bed took about two months for delivery but David kept me informed every step of the way. Again, the only hassle was the wait, but having a great salesperson made all the difference! read more

Where to begin with this place? Well, I will start that we have been sitting on half - yes, half! - a couch for 7 months now. No idea why the couch halves would be delivered over 7 months apart (when we were originally told it would be a few weeks before we had the full thing). The couch is poorly made and already showing signs of wear and tear. And we don't even have the other half Good thing everyone who steps into our house is warned off the bat about Kane's service and quality. We also got a mattress and dining set at the same time. The bed frame wasn't on the truck, so I had to drive all the way down to Kane's to pick it up. Then the delivery men yelled at us about having to set it up. Very nice! Who knows when will get the dining room set. I thinking maybe 2025 if we are lucky. Maybe I'll start a pool with my family to guess on what year it'll actually get here. After I wrote my review, after I complained about the bad customer service from their store in Melbourne, from the store manager and 2 women working in the counter who just ignored me after spending $10K in their Melbourbe store... I finally got a good response from John, the general manager and he's pleasant, apologetic from the actions and inactions of the store manager and the 2 staffers from the Melbourne store, and accommodating. The item that was missing in my delivery after almost a year is in the showroom and he took it out of the showroo, put my name on it and he says it's in his office. He also promised to replace the box spring on the mattress that I bought so I wouldn't need the step stool to go on my bed. I was lied to about it's height and the store manager refused to replace it. Thank you John for your help. I can now say that I don't regret spending thousands of dollars in your state if every general manager is like you. But I still believe that your counter staffers should be replaced for lying so many times. Came in to test out a particular set my friend had been eyeing who wanted my opinion. Walked out appalled at the customer service. While everything started off well, things quickly turned sour when the salesman accused me of wasting his time when I said I wasn't buying today. He was clearly ticked off and did not hide it by going off on me saying that he wasted his working hours by showing me one their products, which I never asked him to do in the first place. Bizarre. Due to a house flood we had to replace all of our furniture. After spending countless weekends making the rounds of all the furniture stores on New Haven Ave., and after dropping a lot of money at Baer's we made an impulse buy on a dining set at Kane's Furniture. Set was delivered. The first thing I noticed is that one of the delivery guys had left boot prints at the entry way, LR and DR of wood floor. I said nothing but when they left I washed the floor - boot prints did not come up - they seemed to be oil based and mopping the floor actually made it worse. I took pics and called immediately. A damage report was created and Stanley Steamer was sent out to clean floors. The dining set was glass top with extensions that pulled out of the sides and locked in place. Assembly man could not align the extensions but said the repair man would be out with "correct" tool in a couple of days, "he will be able to fix it." Repair man was unable to fix. I called Kane's and told them about what had happened and that I did not want a replacement but rather a return. Thought the table feature was too temperamental and saw problems in the future. The first thing I was told was they have an "approval" for a replacement. Approval? LOL! I told them I did not want a replacement - instead please take it back. I was told she would have to get approval. I said approval - why? She tells me "you accepted the table." I had to explain I accepted it because I was told repairman could fix - he was not able to! After being put on hold multiple times - I was informed that the return was "approved" and she quoted me amount of refund. It was less than amount of we paid. Would you believe they were not going to refund the delivery charge until I called them out on it. Was told 7-10 days for refund check to arrive. It is now 2-weeks (or more) later and talking to several people (checking their records - asking questions) - put on hold, etc. etc. Finally talked to someone who found records and then quoted me lesser amount again. Had to explain the delivery charge is refundable and it was "approved" LOL. 2 weeks later refund never came. Called again - Rep said check never was cut or sent - she didn't have an explanation as to why. Was told it would be 7-10 days AGAIN. Finally received check on 7/12 - a month after delivery date. We purchased a couple pieces of furniture from this store in August, 2023 and paid for the basic delivery ($40), which is just dropped off at your home with no unpacking or assembly. Shortly thereafter we ordered several more pieces of furniture. All the furniture was paid in full at the time of purchase. Delivery was scheduled for late September, after closing on our new home. In early September, we decided we wanted the full service delivery with assembly since we noe had several pieces coming. The cost difference was $130, which was charged to our card over the phone. The delivery change was not given to the delivery department so all the furniture was delivered, in its packaging and we had to deal with disposing of the packaging and assemble the furniture ourselves. We have contacted the store personnel several times regarding a refund of the charge for service we didn't receive. The final story given by the store is that the $130 charge was not for the upgraded delivery, but rather just a general charge applied against furniture purchase. They can't, or won't disclose what furniture it was applied to, probably since we have receipts for payment in full for all the furniture. We'll continue to explore options to get our money returned, but it shouldn't be this difficult. It's hard to believe a company with this many large furniture stores engages in such shady and questionable business practices. Save yourself a lot of grief and buy elsewhere! read more

My husband and I purchased a 3 piece leather sectional with 2 electric recliners. The furniture was delivered on 2/22/2019. We were told this is high quality furniture and that Kane's truly cares about their customers. The sales lady told us this would last many years. However I expected this formerly lovely leather sectional to last more than 2 year. There are areas where the "leather" is cracking. The inner electric recliner has sunken to the left side. We went to this Melbourne store and spoke to a very rude lady that called herself a manager. She again sent out a technicia. Today was the 2nd time a technician came out. This technician appeared to try and fix the broken and dangerous to sit in electric recliner. He told me the cracking and peeling of the "leather" was my fault. The electric recliner is still broken, it does recline but it has completely sunk on the inner side towards the corner piece. This recliner looks to be too dangerous to sit, I am afraid that my 100% disabled veteran husband will be further injured by this broken piece of furniture. I will update my review if a corporate manager ever calls me back. My advice to anyone looking for furniture is to stay away from Kane's. They sell poor quality furniture for a high quality price. Recently we purchased 2 recliners, after a short time, a seam on the seat of one started to come apart. After calling, they immediately came out and started actions for replacement of the seat. The new seat was promptly ordered and installed. The technician was excellent! Kane's staff are accessible and kept us informed throughout the process. Absolutely the worst furniture buying experience I've ever had. I bought a sofa and loveseat that were on clearance because they were a floor model or at least that's what I was told. Upon delivery, I realized that the electric features didn't work but Kanes only uses third party delivery services so they couldn't help. I called the show room and was told that they were As Is because of the issues and when I explained that I never would have purchased them had I known, I was told that was too bad but as a courtesy they would send a technician to determine what parts would be needed to fix it and I would have to pay out of pocket for the parts and a repairman. When the technician showed up, he said he was told not to touch it but it was likely the motor and he couldn't order it for us. I got a new dining room. It took forever to get here. I understand the global delays. The table and chairs I got were beautiful. However they are falling apart and I have not even finished paying for them. I did the financing. The screws in the chairs started falling out days after I got it and the top of the table scratches so easily even though I purchased the top cleaner they sale and use it. My wife and I recently purchased a powered, leather living room set (couch, loveseat and single recliner) from the Kane's Melbourne store, for which we paid $3,500 in cash on 31 December, 2019. We were very pleased to learn at the time of purchase that delivery would take place about 2 weeks later on 1/14/20. Upon delivery, we were disappointed to discover that the single recliner had a wiring problem, which manifested as the power buttons working opposite the way they should have worked. To their credit, Kane's had a technician (Pete) at my house three days later (1/17). Pete diagnosed a defective power switch and gave me to believe he'd be back with a replacement in a few weeks. Then, about 10 days or so later, Kane's called to say that Pete needed to come back and have another look at the problem - which he did on 1/28. He decided on this second visit to order a new motor for the chair, in addition to the power switch. I was a little peeved by the fact that Kane's hadn't by that time ordered the replacement for the switch they had identified as defective nearly two weeks earlier. Anyhow.... on 2/4, I received a call from Kanes telling me that the parts were ordered and that I should expect delivery around 1 April. Sure enough, Pete showed up 8 weeks later, on 3/31, with the long-awaited parts in hand. Unfortunately, neither the new switch nor the new motor, solved the chair's problems, so at that point, Kane's decided to replace the recliner altogether. Hooray! Right? Wrong! The new recliner was delivered fairly quickly (on 4/14), but unfortunately, it was not in acceptable condition. Both bolsters had been badly crushed, causing severe wrinkles and creases in them. Moreover, there were holes in the material which seemed to have been created by a rather large staple (during crating, probably). Nearly 5 weeks later (on 5/19), two guys showed up with recliner version 3.0. Unlike with the first two deliveries, these two decided to bring the chair into my house while still packaged in its box, which concerned me a bit because the carton just barely fit through my front atrium and into the front door. When they opened the box and proceeded to pull the chair out of it, there was a veritable explosion of styrofoam all over my living room and entry foyer. I was astounded! And livid! But wait.... there's more. These two geniuses, in their effort to save the box so they could put the old chair into it, did so much damage to the bolsters on the NEW chair as they wrestled it from the box, that they were in worse condition than the bolsters on the OLD chair! I had to resign myself to taking the creased and wrinkled bolsters from the old chair because by that point, quite frankly, my frustration meter had been pegged. But wait.... there's more. Next, the aforementioned geniuses stuffed the old chair into the new box, and they did it in such a way that the box was bulging on all sides. Remember what I said earlier about the chair just fitting thru the atrium on the way in? (You see where I'm going with this?) I had to remove the screen door and its closer hardware from the atrium entrance so they could get the box out of my house. But wait.... there's more. I go back into the house while they're wrestling the old chair onto their truck. And, of course, I'm thinking they're going to be coming back in momentarily to (a) have me sign an invoice, and (b) clean up the thousands of styrofoam BBs all over my house. Instead, I hear their truck fire up, and by the time I get out the front door, they're already down the street and gone. So, in summation: $3,500 spent; 3 deliveries; 5 1/2 months with a virtually unusable chair; and a big mess to clean up at the end of the ordeal. But, since I believe every good critique should end on a positive note, let me add that my wife really loves the furniture (which is the reason for the 2-star rating). read more

BUYER BEWARE .. 6 years ago almost to the day I bought my living room couch and reclining club chair. When the sales person was selling me the couch he brought me a pamphlet that stated "lifetime guarantee, Kane's furniture is guaranteed to last a life time" and he put a star next to it. He said you will "never have to buy another couch unless u get sick and tired of this one. Ok so I have it in writing. So we bought it and spent over $2000.00 Shortly after my purchase I noticed the Off white leather couch seemed to be turning to a greenish color, the fluff pillows were loosing their fluff... I called and they sent a man down to refluff the cushions. The off color was told to me that was the oils from our skin. He continued to say Use a car leather cleaner and it will come right off. Well that didn't seem right to me soo I used the cleaner that I purchased from Kane's with free refills which were not free.... some of the color came off but not entirely. I continued to live with it...until last weekend I noticed a dark almost black coming from the leather .... closer look and it's actually the matting coming through....the "BEAUTIFUL ITALIAN LEATHER " is actually wearing away, even on the middle cushion where no one ever sits because it is so uncomfortable. I called the customer service line, they told me the upholstery is not covered under the " lifetime guarantee". I called the store and spoke to the manager who asked me to give him 2 hrs to see what he could do for me. He did call me back with the answer Not covered under guarantee. So I guess my lifetime is over.....might as well bury me now..... cause I have to go out and buy a new couch. This couch looks dirty and it's only time before the leather is completely gone and I will have holes. U must understand my husband and I are seniors with no kids or grand kids. Our family is up north and hardly visit, so the furniture was and is never abused. The end of my complaint is NEVER believe what Kane's sales persons and their manager says. I went to Kane's on New Haven for their Memorial Day Weekend Sale for a simple sofa and love seat. I walked in and was greeted (not bombarded) by, Debi K. I told her EXACTLY what I was looking for (color/style/material) and guess what, she showed me what I wanted (shocking, RIGHT??) I wish I would have just gone there in the first place because it would have saved me hours and hours of time. I asked Debi if she thought there was anything that I might like better and she said, "just one". She showed me that and I liked that first one better. She told me the first one was on sale and we were done, out the door. I had a very positive, quick and fun experience here. The ladies checking me out in the back were kind and helpful, too. I'm updating my post because Michelle who works in the corporate office was extremely rude to me we actually found a snake inside of the couch and I politely asked if she could send technicians out to show us how to disconnect the sectional so then we could have someone come out and get the snake and she says that her technicians life is in jeopardy and she will not be able to show me how to do that and proceeded to hang up on me. When I called the store to tell them I was having a problem with my $500 rug they were no help at all. They basically told me you're on your own and recommended someone I could call an outside vendor who would charge me to help fix the problem I've changed my mind on the good review I gave them I would now not recommend Kane's to anyone, it would be better off buying used furniture and doing business with them they were rude on the phone and told me they do nothing to help with accessory. I would definitely never buy another piece of furniture in it. If you do your research and read some of the other reviews you would know why I should've checked it out more thoroughly. I wish I could give this business or at least this location a 0 star review. It took contacting the better business bureau to receive a refund for returned tables. That was after the salesperson ordered the incorrect tables. That was 2 months after the items were picked up and returned. Also the amount refunded was not what 2 individuals in the store quoted that I would receive. At one point a manager Claudia signed and assured me she would refund me what I was told I would receive and that a portion might have to come from her paycheck. Although based on what the corporate reply was with the BBB I don't disagree with the final return, it's clear that no one including managers in the store know how to make proper orders, or do the proper math for returns and delay repeatedly refunds, tell complete lies and ignore customers. My husband and I bought a TON of furniture from Kane's when we were moving into our new house, June 2017. We bought 3 bedroom sets (to include 2 mattress sets), living room set (reclining couch, loveseat, chair), 2 end tables, coffee table, dinette set. We love our furniture. No issues after 2 years, thank goodness. Then last week I bought another mattress set (just like my daughter's set we bought 2 years ago) for our guest room. I'm hoping it's just as comfortable as the one we bought 2 years ago. I did lay on it and ensured it is the same brand. My only complaint thus far is that there is no return policy! I ordered a dark brown leather for the living room set, but the wrong color was delivered and they were going to exchange it out since I did order the darker brown, but my husband and I agreed to keep the lighter color one. We are happy with all of our furniture thus far. I'm praying we don't have issues like some of the other customers. read more

If there was a negative star rating this HORRID store deserves it. We usually shop at El Dorado in South Florida but decided to give a local retailer a shot when purchasing a leather sleeper sofa and dining room table set. EVERY THING broke. Do not get sucked in by their lifetime warranty. We have never used furniture or appliance warranties because nothing has gone wrong with things we have previously purchased. WIthin days of getting the long dining table and six chairs home several of the chair legs became loose and were unusable. We discovered the press board wood was surfaced to appear like real wood, which our sales person assured us it was. It is cheap and hollow wood fill. Heavy, but no substance. Within six months our leather sleeper hinges broke. It took two months for Kanes to come out due to multiple misschedulings. When the repair person finally showed up within a four hour window he snapped a couple of pictures and said parts would be ordered. It two almost three months for the parts to arrive and another month for the repair person to be scheduled. A year a half later the entire top of the dining table fell off. We found within the cheap wood filler four one inch rusty scrwes on each leg holding a 10 x 4 dining table top. What a joke of engineering, planning and manufacturing. A total piece of crap. The legs are loose now in multiple places with those small screws it is obvious that it will never hold up. Three weeks later the Kanes guy comes this morning, snaps a few pix with his phone, says the part will e ordered but will 'take some time' to come in, have a nice day. Meanwhile our family is without a dining table and that is strike three. Everything we purchased, for several thousand dollars, fell apart in less than two years. This review is about a sofa/chaise lounge I bought 3 years ago. I read the reviews and have seen that apparently they have not gotten any better. The salesperson was fine and the furniture was delivered on time. At the time of purchase I asked them about purchasing an extended warranty as I had done a couple years before in NJ at a Bob's furniture store. They told me they do not sell that, I will never need that and that their furniture is warranteed and if we ever had a problem to just call them. A few weeks after that, the arm rest collapsed, causing a hollow area where someone's elbow should be. My wife called them and was told to stop jumping on the couch, it is not made for that. WTF? We are in our 40s have no children and are not on any pschiatric medications nor have ever been. My wife asked for that person's supervisor who then scheduled an appointment to have it fixed. The repairman showed up to tell us the arm rest was made out of a hard type cardboard. He fixed the arm rest with wood. Soon after, the wood fell to the floor leaving the arm rest hollow again. We called again to be told, "we will have to see if you are approved. We will call you back." After playing a little phone tag with them they came out and fixed the problem and it has been fine since. If they had refused to come the 2nd time I really would have marched down to the store with the couch in my truck and insisted they take the couch back. Their customer service was terrible and the workmanship is terrible. I will never recommend them to anyone. If their furniture is that bad then at least sell us some sort of protection plan. read more

False advertising for "immediate delivery" and customer service was not knowledgeable about and nearly impossible to talk to get through.

I have been waiting for my order for over 5 months. Although they have the furniture and delivery is paid they're now giving me a date of October 26, 2021. Reason being Kane's furniture only delivers to BEACHSIDE once a week. read more

Extremely rude staff and cheap furniture I have been shopping here over 20 years but in the last five years they have been horrible I purchased a bedroom set the draws don't close properly and the hinges keep breaking . the staff is down right rude my husband had to put one man in his place with the way he was talking to me my daughter went there today against my advice and an African American woman with glasses didn't want to help her she would answer a question and then disappear and sit in a corner not wanting to work . Going to get my scissors and cut up my credit card with them I'm done ! Not too many cars in the parking lot lately I wonder why ! Trust me save your time and go elsewhere!!! read more

Worst customer service ever. I ordered a bedroom set a week and a half ago. Was originally told it would be delivered in the morning. They gave me a courtesy call last night to tell me it would be delivered between 1pm and 5pm (not what I agreed to). The delivery guys came, set up the bed, and brought the mirror in. THEN they told me that my dresser had been damaged and that they didn't bring it on the truck to be delivered today (but they didn't have the decency to let me know until they were already here)... And that the dresser I ordered was now out of stock and on back order. I had to call and speak to the manager to find out that it would take TWO MONTHS to get the dresser. He said the best he could do was give me $75 off the bedroom set (not even 10% of what I paid for it). My only other option is to return the set. So that's what I chose to do. Problem now is that they won't refund my money until they pick up the set.. And they can't get anyone out here to pick it up until next Tuesday. After that, it will be another 3-5 business days for the refunded money to hit my account. I don't have the money to buy another bedroom set before then... and even when I DO purchase another one, it will probably take another week for the delivery of THAT set. I have been completely inconvenienced, and what's worse is that they don't seem to care. Nor do they want to do what's best for the customer. This is NOT how you do business. I purchased a couch and recliner set from Kane's Melbourne store back in June. I was told that my couch would be delivered within a couple weeks (and it was) and that my recliner was on backorder and wouldn't be here until August. Then the week of delivery they called me and said that they weren't able to get my recliner out for delivery and the new date would be in Sept. I finally got my estimated delivery time for this Thursday and called to see if they could change the time or day because I won't be home during the timeframe they gave me. They said if I can't accept delivery for tomorrow then they won't be able to deliver my recliner until October!!! So now I have to have a friend or family member at my house tomorrow so that I'm not pushed out another month or more for delivery. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FURNITURE FROM KANE'S AGAIN!!! And Trish, the c*nt that I dealt with on the phone about delivery was rude and condescending. I'll be sure to tell all my friends and family to shop for furniture elsewhere. I'd highly recommend Badcock and More...they were polite, great customer service, and ON TIME! read more
