Treat customers better !!! I bought 2 lamps in September and they were due to arrive late Oct. and they did to the Sanford Florida warehouse. I also ordered 2 wall decor lizards and they came in December 19 and were delivered with my lamps to the West Melbourne store. The store REFUSED to have my lamps brought down from their warehouse before my wall decor arrived !!! I did not have my bedroom lamps from late October until just before Christmas! When I went to pick up my prepaid merchandise they tried to tell me I had ordered just one wall decor lizard but I ordered and paid for 2 . The other lizard we found ready to be hung on the wall with their merchandise sticker with the price! I had been dealing with this store since I moved to Melbourne Florida 9 years ago and have watch this store go downhill. NEVER WILL I ENTER AND PURCHASE FROM THEM AGAIN!!! Customer service agreed that my lamps should be delivered to their store but never followed through. Also complete lack of salespeople keeping in touch with their customers. I also had a terrible experience with a new mattress I had purchased several years ago. I could not sleep on it and they refused to pick it up until I slept on it for 3 months. Would highly suggest customers look elsewhere when purchasing furniture. We purchased and received a leather sectional on 9/21 - one section came with legs .... The other did not. I immediately called customer care to escalate - reportedly the legs were ordered at the parts person was to call on 9/23. Nothing - I called again on 10/1 (giving them some grace) and was told the I would hear back within a couple of days. Two days later I received a text that the parts had been ordered and they were pending with the manufacturer. No additional follow-up, no additional escalation. To date - nearly a month after delivery we still do not have legs (it sits on the floor not functional) - calls and messages say they will follow-up. We want a solution - there are identical "special order" sectional sofa pieces that have legs - conveniently INSTOCK at their warehouse. We've asked to pull from one of these so this issue is no longer on the paying customer. No one seems to have the "authority". Give me a break! We also paid extra for the service to have any issues with the sectional taken care of - seems to be exceptional. read more

We were greeted by Barbie who is without a doubt the most helpful and personable sales person with whom we had dealt. Along with Courtney, another great salesperson, we were guided through the great selection of furniture in the well-appointed store. Avoid this Furniture Company. The salesman, Adamm was helpful at the time of the sale on May 10, 2022: for a sofa, queen bed, and two recliner chairs. HOWEVER, the helpful service ENDED by the time we left the showroom! The delivery of the items, especially the bed, promised by "sometime this week." was delayed by days... (we just had moved out of state and didn't have a bed to sleep on). And then, in September 2022, the two recliners' bases broke, and the NIGHTMAR started. We called the showroom, and they transfer us to Customer Service, where every person had their version of when the bases will be replaced. All kinds of stories and excuses. By February 1st, 2023, we had only one base replaced after my husband, and I called daily. We have bad backs, and we are not 30 anymore, and we needed the recliner to sit to read or watch television. By February, we haven't heard from Hudson's Customer Service. read more

I took my dad, who recently had his knee replaced, and my stepmother to Hudson's for a new recliner. Within minutes, a new recliner was selected. The issue was that the recliner was not available for delivery for several days. The salesman, Wilson Blue, checked with his manager to see if he could sell the floor model, so my dad could get the recliner sooner. Initially, the manager said no. After hearing about the issues he was having, after his surgery, having to sleep in his uncomfortable recliner. The manager took pity on my dad, and arranged for the floor model to be delivered, by a third party. Long story short, my dad is enjoying his new recliner, five days earlier than initially expected. Thanks to Wilson, and the manager, who's name I didn't catch. read more

I recently ordered a custom Broyhill couch at this store recently. Price tag $2500. I ordered it with 4 pillows but it only came with 2. Sales rep made the excuse. Well its my fault she says but we will reorder the pillows. It will take minimum of 1 month for 2 small pillows, ridiculous!!! Also the so called custom couch looks frumpy and not at all like the cool floor model. Almost like Broyhill went cheap and didn't completely fill the cushions and pillows. Also stitching and piping are poorly done. Calls to Broyhill not returned and nothing but excuses from Hudson's. Worst furniture experience ever!!!!!! read more

The personnel in the store are great. I loved working with Marina and Barbie, and the furniture I ended-up getting from them is beautiful and perfect for my room. It was priced fairly. Some of the items they recommended were from a cheap online retailer, and when I couldn't get samples of finishes for those items, I wanted to cancel them. The cancellation process was a giant argument and hassle. Don't order anything you can't see and touch in the store. They will not take anything back, even if it comes in and doesn't match the Internet description. Their accounting/financial people are ridiculously stupid! I don't know how they have so many people who can't do simple math. They sort-of know how to add, but they don't know how to subtract. None of the numbers that were on the documents I signed matched the numbers they charged to my credit card. I finally agreed because it was close enough. But, it shouldn't be this difficult. The only reason I'm not giving them one star is because I liked my salespeople and thought they did a great job with design and selection. read more

There is no way I can detail all the problems I had in one review. Here are the highlights: I purchased bedroom furniture from the store on New Haven Avenue in Melbourne, FL, on November 23, 2018. The final piece was finally delivered and the bed assembled today, March 16, 2019 - over 16 weeks after ordering. During that 16 weeks I encountered misinformation from the sales and delivery teams, multiple confusing and conflicting emails and phone calls regarding the order, missing furniture, furniture broken on arrival, lack of returned phone calls, furniture missing the features the saleswoman said it would have, lack of communication between different departments, lack of initiative (for example, damaged furniture didn't get reordered until I called a couple of times asking about it), and a general sense of chaos and lack of coordination in the sale, ordering and delivery of my furniture. It appears Hudson's systems are seriously broken and if any problem comes up at all everything just falls apart. On a positive note, everybody I talked to along the way - in the store, the delivery people, Customer Service, the repair guy - was friendly and very apologetic about the problems I was having. The furniture seems to be good quality, although it's not as nice as what I was told I was getting by the saleswoman (I have to take partial blame for that - I know better than to trust the word of somebody who is earning a commission off of what they're selling me). But the complete lack of ability to service the sale is a deal breaker for me and I'll never set foot in Hudson's again. I'd advise you to go elsewhere. I am also mailing a letter to the CEO of Hudson's detailing my experience, in hopes he can get the problems straightened out. i've spent months talking to one person after another, customer service, supervisors and have had minimal help getting a table replaced when the finish was defective. for over a week now I've been trying to get a hold of the representative that was supposed to be helping me and I have contacted him at least four times and he has not responded. I would find a different furniture store to work with Hudson's is unreliable. I still have a damaged table sitting in my house it's been probably about four months since I made the initial phone call and I've waited for the replacement table. John Lee from Hudsons furniture, Who did try to help me, was finally able to. He followed through on the information he promised me. My table was replaced, I am happy with the new table, and the delivery service was excellent. I was very happy with Hudsons until this problem arose. my other pieces of furniture are holding up well. I would highly recommend John Lee as he was the only one who followed through and made things right. I would purchase from them again, but definitely go to John Lee. read more

Buyer beware! I purchased a house full of furniture a few years ago from Hudson had an ok experience but it could have been easier to do business. In January 2017 I wanted to order a matching love seat so I went back placed an order and was assured they could get the same fabric. Several weeks later I got a call that they could not get the fabric. At that point I asked for a refund of my deposit been trying to get the refund for several weeks and after several calls and messages to the manager I still do not have my refund and have never received a call back as requested. I went to Hudson Furniture on October 7, 2021 to purchase two dining room tables, 10 chairs, and three counter stools. When my sales person Zechariah wrote up the order, he wrote it up for 5 chairs. When I questioned him about 5 chairs, he and the "Sales" director both confirmed that the chairs came in sets of two. When my tables and chairs arrived, the delivery people brought FOUR chairs and informed me that my Fifth chair arrived broken. When I called and spoke with the store director, I believe her name was Laura, she told me there was a misunderstanding and that the chairs did not come in sets of 2, and I would need to purchase 5 additional chairs. On November 11, 2021, I purchased 6 additional chairs. (She refunded the one that was broken.). The chairs were expected to arrive on April 4, 2022. I was assured at that time, that I would receive monthly updates on my chair status. The updates have NEVER happened, unless I reached out to Hudson. I have been polite and patient up until today. I know there is a supply chain shortage and also know that the sales people have no control Today, I called to speak with the "Store Director", David. He was the most unprofessional sales person I have ever spoken with. He had immediate attitude with me and was very condescending and rude. Hudson furniture should be ASHAMED of themselves for not only hiring this person, but allowing him to be the one in charge of the store. My chairs now have an estimated arrival date of May 28, 2022. SO, I continue to have a table with no chairs. And absolutely no recourse against them. One thing Hudson's and David has done is to make sure I NEVER spend another dime in their store and when anyone asks for a recommendation it will NEVER be Hudson's! I spent over $5,000 on furniture and received the WORST customer service EVER. read more

We purchased a power reclining sofa a week ago. It was delivered a few days later. We purchased it bc it had dual recliners for the head and foot position. We sat on it a few times and my wife found it very uncomfortable after only an hour. my wife was in agony with her neck,could no longer sit on it. We tried again the next day and same result. She had neck surgery in2019 and has since recovered and we do not want to with another spinal issue.We reached out to our sales associate who reached out to her mgr to find out what options we had.We knew that it was an as is sale as it was a clearance item, but the only problem is it hurts my wife's neck. We offered to pay to have it delivered back to the store at our expense and agreed to pay a restocking fee and spend any credited amount on another piece of furniture at their store.Today we were advised that the regional mgr, Peter, advised the store mgr that they will not allow us to exchange or return it because it was a floor model. Based on my wife's medical issue, we believed they would be amenable to work with us to exchange it for a piece of equal or greater value but they will not. We have called the store and asked to speak to the manager and as always he is unavailable. They promise us he will return our call and he has not ever returned our calls. We called the store today at 1230 Chris answered and told us that the manager was busy. We told Chris that we had reached out to the manager several times and still had not received a telephone call back. We also stated that if the mgr did not return our call, we would be forced to visit the store and that "it would not be pretty." Chris stated this was a threat but we explained it was not, meaning only that we would complain loudly so other customers would learn about this horrible customer service! And coupled with their worthless warranties makes Hudsons furniture a place to avoid. in 2013 we bought a leather couch and recliner from this company. As we were carrying it into the house the middle section literally came off the frame. This was due to no bolts and nuts to hold it too the frame. i went to Ace hardware and bought the hardware to fix it. Then a few months later the recliners motor went out , so we called the warranty people. after weeks of calling just to get an appointment they missed the appointment after we had to take off work to be at home because they have difficult hours of operation if you work for a living. After 8 weeks of waiting for the motor to come in we were notified that they wished to cash us out of the warranty and give us $200 or $570.00 voucher for the pleasure to purchase another crappy recliner from Hudsons again. We paid over $570.00 when we bought it originally. When the recliner originally quit working and i became fed up with the warranty people i emailed the west Melbourne store and the manager emailed me back several times. At no point did he ever pick up the phone and call us or apologize for the poor service we have received. I then went onto their website and gave them a bad review i find it very interesting that it has been scrubbed from their site. buyer beware. read more

We bought a $3000.00 Southern Motion sectional couch in January with the additional warranty. It was delivered the end of March and by July the fabric started piling. I've called the store on 1-92 and they referred me to their customer service department. They told me they'll send someone out to shave the furniture. Are you kidding me??? I have a replacement warranty and they're refusing to honor it!!! The customer service manager has never even spoken to me she just tells her employees to tell me they'll come and shave the couch. I have been nothing but nice when I call, and yet nothing. I'd like to know if the owners of Hudson Furniture would have this in their house and have it shaved every few months. I just want what I paid for and this is NOT it!!! Please don't buy from here, go to Baer Furniture or Lazy Boy I guarantee you'll be much happier. I Love Hudson's Furniture. I've been buying furniture from them for 14 years! Ian was our first Sales Consultant 14 years ago. He was very personable knowledgable. We bought several pieces of furniture from him when we first moved into our home. Fast forward 14 years and two rambunctious kids later our couch wore out. A New sales team is now in place and, although we would have liked to see Ian again, from the moment I walked into Hudson's on Memorial day weekend, I knew we were in great hands. Barbie and Wilson were excellent to deal with. I didn't feel pressured or rushed. Barbie was so warm and personable and she and Wilson took the time to help me choose the new upgraded sectional sofa (with all the bells and whistles and fabric/color choice)I was looking for. With it being Memorial Day weekend we received an amazing deal and received a high quality piece. We were so excited when the furniture arrived earlier than expected too. For 14 years Hudson's has had high quality professional team working for them and top that off with being able to purchase High Quality furniture that is customizable is a major selling point for me! read more

Our experience started so positive at Hudson's. I can't say enough about Patty, the designer they have on staff. In terms of the time it takes for furniture to arrive, they are severely lacking. We waited over four months for a piece of furniture in which we were told would be here in two months. Once the furniture did arrive, they wouldn't deliver it for another week because their delivery schedule was full! When I brought this to the sales rep attention and the customer service attention, they didn't even bother to call me back after "looking into a Sooner delivery date". Wow! I was really impressed with this furniture store. While looking for furniture previously, we didn't even go into Hudson's because from the outside, the store looks very small. This is very deceiving because their showfloor goes on and on from front to back. We stopped in because we saw online a sectional couch that we were interested in seeing. Much to our dismay, they did not have it in store, but our salesperson showed us another model based on what we described we were looking for. The salespeople here are not at all pushy. With other stores, I can barely stand even responding to salespeople's questions, but here that was not at all the case. We were very interested in this particular sectional, but not quite ready to buy that day and needed to go home and measure anyways. Well, they had a solution for that: they offer free in-home design consultations. Their design consultant came to our home to measure, hear more about what we were looking for down the road, and to take pictures. When we went back to the showroom, they had a whole presentation ready for us, complete with a power point, white board, and warm cookies for the kids! Their design consultant (and our awesome saleswoman Courtney) showed us some amazing other pieces that would fit our style, and they did not at all pressure us to buy. We ended up purchasing our sectional that day, along with the protection plan, and will definitely be visiting them again when we're ready to make additional purchases. Our sectional was custom-made, so delivery was promised in 8-10 weeks, but was ready in only 4! Delivery was able to be scheduled that same week, and the delivery guys were extremely polite and helpful, offering to rearrange furniture if we didn't like the placement. Horrible service, average furniture. We ordered a bedroom set with a tempurpedic mattress, which I will admit, they did give us a deal on. However, the store manager tried his best to talk us out of a tempurpedic and into an iComfort mattress because he "didn't like the sales rep for tempurpedic." We also ordered a small table and 2 chairs. The sales rep's pitch to us was that they have delieveries every other day so it wouldn't take long at all for our furniture to come in. About a week later our stuff arrived minus the table and chairs, which were "damaged" while being loaded so we would have to wait another 4 days for them to be delivered. We stated we were not happy about that and tried to figure out how to get them sooner. The sales rep called us to tell us he "made it work" and we would be getting our chairs later that day. He neglected to mention that he was having the floor model delivered (we found that out when we went in there the next day to say something about the chips in the furniture -you know, the one that was a floor model). For the record, I would have been fine ordering the floor model, but not paying the full price for a new set from the warehouse. Additionally, the mattress arrived separately 2 and a half weeks after we had purchased the furniture. We got a call the morning of the delivery because the guys who deliver the mattress left it at the loading dock so it would have to be delivered a few days later. After letting them know the hassle we have been going through, somehow the mattress made it to us later that day. It was new in the box so we knew it wasnt a floor model matter (sad we had to check that). It is too bad, we have the rest of the house to furnish and WILL NOT be going back to Hudson's. read more

We were told that if we bought the mattress protector from them that in two years we could have another mattress protector for the mattress absolutely free. We thought this was a great plan and purchase the mattress protector in the amount of $100.00. I was just inform by Joe, that this isn't true! I told him that his sale people are going around telling this to their clients and that this is false advertisement. I ordered $7600 worth of Paule Deen furniture from Hudson's on black Friday. Spent lots of time picking out my custom look, paying the extra money to get exactly what I wanted. After 3 and a half months of waiting for something that was supposed to be delivered in 6-8 weeks, I received it. Not only was the couch NOTHING like I ordered, but the company was unable to make it right because of obsolete material/quality concerns. After spending more than an hour settling on a second choice design, come to find out that was also obsolete material. I sadly settled on keeping the wrong couch, even though it looked a lot less formal and somehow more frumpy then I remembered from the floor model, as long as they traded out other pieces of custom furniture that were not compatible with the WRONG couch. Now, another 3 and a half months have passed and the new pieces have not arrived and I have not heard a word from Hudson's once. read more

We bought two recliners approx 3 yrs ago at your store. They were both floor models and were electric. We have enjoyed the chairs up until now. The chairs have started to peel. What we thought was leather is certainly not leather. Both chairs look terrible and are going to have to be replaced. You do not need to be selling these chairs with this type of material read more

Terrible service after the sale! We ordered a Custom Klausner couch that cost $1500. We were assured it would arrive in less than 6 weeks, and would get a phone call after 2 weeks to get a delivery update. Of course no call at 2 weeks, and it took 3 messages to get our sales rep to finally call us back. Finally we are told the couch will not be delivered for another 7 weeks, which means a total of 11 weeks. Double what they originally promised. All they offered to compensate us was $100 in-store credit. No thanks, I will never be shopping there again. The manager still has not called us back after 4 messages. Terrible experience, I recommend going somewhere else. There are 10 other furniture stores on the same street. read more

We went into Hudson's (Palm Bay, Fl-home) while shopping for a new sofa. Worked with Taylor, one of the salespersons at the store. He was terrific and very helpful with the selection, making suggestions on piping on the sofa etc. We ended up purchasing a sofa (Braxton Culler) for approximately $2,600. I was even able to change the color of the piping the next day via text with Taylor and he chose a perfect color to match our new chairs. Great experience with Taylor..not so good with the delivery end. Didn't arrive the day they said and we didn't receive a call from the delivery people advising us they were not going to arrive with the purchase that day. Taylor attempted to stay on them, but the store's approach to contacting delivery is a bit "different". They did arrive day's end a few days later after we had Taylor reschedule for us. Would have given them a higher rating except for delivery. They are fortunate to have someone like Taylor on staff there. read more
