(Although I was puzzled on a recent visit by their "tacit" bid to Covid safeguards. To wit: all staff were wearing facemasks; however, nearly all of them simply wore them around their neck and I only observe one clerk with her is appropriately fastened over her nose and mouth.) ...puzzling... I thought by the amount of money I spent on a couch, ottoman, and bed that I would get better service. In person, the staff was good. However I was told that the staff would check for delivery dates and let me know. I was never called. I had to call the store every week to find out what was taking so long. I was very disappointed in the amount of time to build the furniture. Then the pieces were delivered separately. In addition, the pillows for the settee were the wrong color and took another 6 WEEKS to get them delivered to the store. I will not buy from this store again read more

BAD! experience I went there thinking they sold quality furniture after taking almost a month longer than what I was told it was going to be my recliner was delivered broken. I notified my sales person George of the problem after not hearing anything for a week I called the store again and found out nothing was done at all. Now I am getting the runaround because to much time passed before anything was said which I have text messages with George notifying him of the problem. Now I am getting told that it will be three weeks before someone can come look at it WTF! I dropped 1200 bucks on a broken recliner delivered a month late that I still can't sit on for another month at least. We purchased a king sized bedroom set with 2 chesters.  Within 15 months, I  had one chester replaced, and now both chesters have drawers that are malfunctioning.  The furniture looks really great however it is MADE POORLY AND SUPER CHEAP. They only offer a 1 year warranty and I see why.  The furniture will only hold up for 1 year.  DO NOT BUY. Its a waste of money. read more

We ordered $2500 worth of bedroom furniture in Oct 2021. Here it is Jan 2022. Initially given estimates of 2-4 weeks for delivery which we were fine with. Week 15 still waiting. No updates unless I requested them. Bits and pieces have shown up here and there. I get the supply chain issues so I post this as a warning to fellow shoppers. This store is amazing, and so is the staff!!! We have bought several pieces of furniture from here over the years and love them. Great quality and beautiful furniture. But the reason why we love the store goes even deeper than just love of their product. Today we were treated with kindness and shown some grace through a really frustrating situation. Without going too much into detail, due to a mixup with a promotional rate we were promised, we owed over $1000 in interest from a purchase we made almost 2 years ago. Havertys stepped in to solve this problem, and took care of this amount for us..... so to thank them, we bought almost $4,000 in furniture today!! The Sales Manager and Associates who helped us out today really went above and beyond, and we are so grateful and blessed to have had such an amazing experience. We bought a memory foam mattress here back in April and we still love it! The guy who helped us was so nice and genuine. We went back there to see if he could help us pick out some new sofas, but were told he no longer worked there. Super bummed! Anyways, back to the mattress! They gave us payment options to pay it off monthly and the delivery was quick and easy. There was a delivery fee, but what place doesn't? I think it was $50 to where we live near Hurlburt Field. The guys that brought it were really nice and very informative. They set the bed up and even took our old mattress for us and did it in a timely manner. My husband and I like to go here and look around, sometimes it's nice when you go into a place and they don't stalk you the whole time like other stores. read more

Purchase was to be delivered 13 Feb 2018 between 4:45-6:45 pm. On 13 Feb 18 at 6:30pm received phone call that delivery would be between 8-9:00 pm. (REALLY!!) After 7:00 pm tried to call customer service and no answer "call back during normal business hours". We were following truck on the Haverty's site and saw that our delivery was bumped and truck rerouted to the delivery scheduled after us. We were finally called at 8:30pm and told our delivery was canceled due to drivers timing out. Customer Service rep said we would be rescheduled for Saturday 17 Feb 18. No input from us as to what was convienent for us! No sorry for the inconvenience. Response was 'it's the earliest we can reschedule you" (That purchase should have been in my driveway the next morning at 0800!!!) Next morning at 0800 I called Customer Service and spoke to representative and a Manager & was basically told the same thing. There wasn't anything they could do. And there wasn't anyone else I could speak to about this situation. This same manager called back and waved delivery fee of $79. A no brainer. I would have and did expect a lot more that this for our 5 hour inconvenience and rescheduled for 4 DAYS LATER! Called the store & talked to sales representative. Was told this is a frequent problem and they have even lost business due to delivery issues such as ours. She made some phone calls but the result was the same as above. Informed us that delivery was scheduled on Saturday 17 Feb 4:45 -6:45 pm. Regardless that we had told customer service and sales representative that we had plans that day. I called Mr Silver, manager over the Ft Walton Beach and Pensacola stores. He was very pleasant and apologized for our inconvenience, & explained that he had been made aware of the issue. He had put in a routing request for an early A.M. Saturday 17 Feb 18 delivery. Automated routing system and from what we experienced the computer does all the thinking without human interface!!!! What a screwed up system. Purchase was delivered at 8:45 a.m. Saturday 17 Feb 18. FYI: we live 1.4 miles from store & both drivers live in same area! Bottom Line: Automated delivery routing system which apparently runs the show without human interaction or input from an intelligent being! Customer service is no help WHAT SO EVER! If you are to be delivered after 7pm good luck in talking to Customer Service. If you want to change a delivery time you are to give them 48 hours but they will cancel due to routing and reschedule you when THEY feel like it, regardless of your schedule or life issues! WILLL NEVER EVERY PURCHASE FROM HAVERTY'S AGAIN. read more

Let me start by saying Havertys looks like a great place to purchase furniture from. They have a clean store and well trained sales people. I mean when the sales person tells me there furniture is made with high quality wood and they offer a protection plan for the furniture I was assures the I would be very satisfied with the reclining couch set I bought. Well 4 months later and I now have a creaking noise coming from the couch and when I placed a call about the issue the technicians came out to my home evaluated the noise and told me it was the seat box that was making the noise and it would need to be exchanged for new couch due to them having to reupholster the couch. So 3 days later and I have not heard back when they will be out to make the exchange for me so I call the store and now they are telling me it will be sent to the factory to get repaired and it will take 7-10 business days to get fixed. I understand guidelines as far as their warranty plans work but when I am told one thing face to face then I am told another after the fact I had to place the phone call back to the store to find out what is going to happen with the furniture it is a disappointment. I will not purchase any more furniture from Havertys due to this situation and hope this message will help others when they decide to purchase from this store. read more

Store is full of of the same old tired overpriced items. Picked out a table...took weeks to deliver and arrived damaged. 10 days, and several phone calls later a replacement piece was due in..they couldn't find it for awhile. Once they did it was brought over (in a furniture blanket..) and when unwrapped it was damaged in the same way as the other. read more

Disappointed in my experience after seeing good reviews here. Tried to buy dining chairs marked $149 each but was told that was the sale price that "ended two days ago" and they were now $169. Despite being a reasonable price for them two days prior, they said they would have to escalate to the manager's manager to get Yay or Nay on my request for $149 pricing the following day. I responded "OK" and Andrea (Silver Sales President's Club) said she would call me the next day one way or another. No follow-up call was received from Havertys. Fortunately, there are many other furniture businesses that treat you respectfully in the Ft. Walton/Destin area. read more
