Looking for Haverty's in this location took me foe a loop searching as it upstairs. You must pay attention for the signage at the top and not below with the level of the otjer stores; well vacant retail spots as well. I was in the store for abour 15 minutes and was the only customer inside. I heard chatter and laughter but never greeted. Kind of goid when you dont want to be hounded but not for me with customer service. However, once I got further in the back Lisa came up and politely greetes me and assisted in getting me set up for purchases. I may have walked in feeling like my sale was nit needed but once I was assisted bt Lisa I felt she boosted my vibe of the store customer service. The prices were nor totally on the pricey side due to the sales/promos. The items I selected had delivery dates as soon as 3 days later with delivery cost of $199. Haverty's has always been known for quality furniture but pricey. Depending on your budget this may still be pricey. read more

Not at all happy with my $2,500 purchase. I selected a sofa for a life of comfort in December 2021 but aft 2 years I cannot even sit on it without pain because the spring interior of each seat cushion is a twisted mess. It took the two years to realize the depth of the deterioration because I kept rotating an flipping my cushions as I was advised to do at the time of sale. I bought the gold plan for $250.00 with the verbal insinuation that if any thing went wrong with the internal parts that was the value to me would be taken care of along with accidental damage . Now I have worked through the steps of the plan and a tech came to My home and told me the problem would be taken care of and I would be contacted through the office to let me know when my replacement inserts would be sent and he was to return to help install them I am being insulated and denied by the company about the visit from the tech and reasons they intend to no follow through with my inspection from Gaur read more

I purchased the Sandy sofa and Loveseat about 2 years ago. There are only two of us that use the furniture, and we didn't actually start using it until we moved to Delaware last November. Prior to that, it sat in our living room, which we never used. In the 8 months that we start using it, the furniture looks like it's much older. As you can see in the pictures, the seat cushions are already going flat and not keeping their shape. They will need to be replaced soon. The back cushions look sloppy and put of shape, and they slide behind the seat cushions when you sit on them. I am constantly adjusting the cushions. I'm embarrassed to have this in our main sitting area. Prior to this purchase, we owned Ethan Allen and had it for well over 25 years, and it still looked wonderful. We gave it to my brother only because we wanted something new. I never expected the furniture to look this horrible in such a short period of time. I will never purchase anything from Havertys again and would never recommend them. Overpriced junk that is not worth the money paid. read more

Really Regret buying here! We ordered a bedroom set and it took them 5 attempts to deliver one of the nightstands undamaged (first two they canceled the day before delivery). On the 5th delivery they managed to bring an undamaged one but then ran into the corner of our new bed frame chipping it while moving it in. Literally go anywhere else you're future self will thank you. I was told I'd hear from store manager during all this but never did. read more

I am so disappointed with Havertys. This store and the Columbia store should be avoided at all costs. You will be cheated and lied to. You will be promised delivery in 12 weeks which then turns into 12 months. You will receive damaged furniture. I have sent back furniture up to three times before getting resolution. And the only way I received any satisfaction was because I had pictures of the furniture I ordered on the day I ordered it so they tried to lie but could not dispute my evidence. The customer service is nonexistent. There are other places to shop. Why be cheated and lied to and wait four times the amount of time for furniture that will be damaged? Today Havertys notified me that the mirror I returned would be delivered. I called customer service for the SECOND time. Despite the fact that I was told my refund was being processed, the staff had never put through a cancellation. I was told today that the representative put in the cancellation and now it would take five more days to get a refund! How likely is it possible that they have done it correctly this time. I spoke to Myra in customer service. If I do not get my refund, I will report Havertys to the Better Business Bureau for fraud. They also delivered damaged furniture and severely damaged my walls in several places during delivery. This place is so bad, they should go out of business immediately. read more

Unacceptable service and communication such that I will not be a returning customer and am writing this review to warn others. It is Unfortunate but True and Understandable that supply chain issues have been widespread during this global pandemic. We've recently moved and needed to buy supplies that have been delayed. That is normal. What is not normal or acceptable has been the related communication and service. We Bought a rather expensive kitchen table in July. We were told that due to severe supply chain issues it would not arrive until September. Haverty'a: Could we wait? Us: Yes. In October, we were called to say that it was delayed until November. Haverty's: Could we wait? Us: Well, at this point, yes but had we been given a heads up we likely would have found an alternate solution. November comes and goes and again I am the one to follow up. Haverty's: Can come in December, will follow up with details. They do not. Then a call in later December. Haverty's: Could we schedule for January? Us: Yes. ...This time I voiced my concern about this communication pattern and that I felt a little strung along - at an earlier point a more accurate prediction would have led me to pursue a different table. The man on the phone told me that there was not a company in the world not experiencing supply chain issues and I could look at a business journal. This was uncalled for as (a) I wasn't questioning the supply chain issue - I was questioning the follow up communication pattern and forecasting (b) I read several business journals daily, thanks (c) it was rude and defensive and I had been neither to him (d) we've seen multiple kitchen tables available immediately from a range of furniture sellers - none we liked as much as the one we purchased from Haverty's and all enough that we would have settled for one of them to have had a table the last six months. The delivery date was pushed back again. Just a few days.... Supposedly coming in a few days. But we will see. In general, the hassle and feeling strung along has outweighed the relatively nice table design such that I recommend against purchasing furniture from Haverty's. read more

We have purchased furniture from Gavigans prior but this time they didnt have the bed we wanted.. Decided to go with Havertys. Bad choice. Delivery window 1:45-3:45 Actual arrival 6:45. During the checkout they have some options, I chose to remove old mattress... Apparently they dont actually provide that unless you buy a new mattress... Doesn't mention that anywhere, not one disclaimer, no info.. False advertising pretty much. What a crock. Will stick with Gavigans in the future. read more

Furniture is beautiful. Can't deny that. It has the very sophisticated look that I wanted. Lots of comments from family and friends on how beautiful it is. I'm only a little concerned about the quality of the product. We bought multiple pieces- 2 sofas, end table, coffee table, and kitchen table with 4 chairs WITH the extended insurance/coverage that's offered. We are VERY happy we got the insurance because within the 1.5 years of owning the furniture the glass in our coffee table cracked (while being very gentle with our furniture) and the resilience in the couch cushions essentially disappeared where I began sinking back into the couch. I purposely selected a firmer couch to prevent this particular issue. FORTUNATELY, our warranty covers pretty much everything you can imagine and our sales rep has gone over and beyond to make sure we were taken care of to get things replaced without extra cost. Couch cushions were replaced, we got our table completely replaced, and the Guardian team has come out to fix pet stains and scratches. My only recommendation is to get the warranty because you will get your money's worth! read more

We visited Havertys as well as many other stores when looking for a new sectional. We returned in September to purchase because we liked the overall size of the furniture. Charles was great! The sales process was straight forward. Unfortunately, as of January, my estimated arrival time for the sectional is March. No fault of the store, but when you are quoted 10 weeks for a custom sofa and it ends up 5 months, it's a little frustrating. I would see if you can get an updated idea of when your furniture should arrive before buying. read more

We purchased a couch back in September but didnt get a call about it being delivered until March even though they had kept saying it would only be a few more weeks. After some negotiating we purchased another couch. When it arrived in the wrong color we sent it back. After speaking with management on the phone they didn't believe us even though we showed them pictures of the couch. We ended up canceling the order and will never buy from here again. read more

Unexpectedly came down with severe health issues at 35yrs old (former athlete). I cannot breathe at all if I'm laying on my back.... I was in desperate need of a motorized recliner in order to sleep propped up. After visiting a few other reputable furniture stores it was becoming clear that 2 months would be my shortest wait time, which in my condition just was not possible. When I would ask about floor models the sales people responded "sorry" and made no further effort to help (PS I walk with a cane). THAT IS UNTIl I went to HAVERTY'S. My sales associate Bruce immediately recognized the urgency of my situation and was determined to do whatever he could. When I found the chair that fit my needs perfectly, I was hit with the 3 weeks for delivery but Bruce didn't stop there. Called his manager right in front of me and discussed my situation with him (I apologize, your name escapes me but great guy), who without hesitation said "sell him the floor model and even give him the full warranty. So regardless of the petty reviews this location has received, I will be the first to tell you they were the ONLY ones WILLING to help someone in ACTUAL NEED. Legit life savers. No means NO! Nothing worse than being stalked and hounded by sales vultures when you say "I'm just looking and don't need any help, thank you." Can't tell you how many times I had to tell him (Bruce) and basically ignore him when he came back and back. I get that you work on commission but when you do that, it's so obvious you are there to help you and not me, it is a major turn off. Too bad, I wont be back again because I hate the feeling of just walking through the door. Today was the second and LAST time I will be in. I would not recommend Haverty's unless you run out of options. We ordered furniture in August. We were told 6-8 weeks for delivery. 12 weeks later we received the last part of our order, but it was the wrong furniture. Haverty's customer service was indignant that we did not catch the mistake before the truck left. 8 weeks later we got the last part of the order, but it was again the wrong furniture. Haverty's customer service said that what we were expecting does not exist, and we had to prove that it did. Now, 4 weeks later, we still have not gotten the last part of our order. We financed the purchase, so we have made 5 pymts on furniture that we have not received. I mentioned this to the store mgr, but she did not seem concerned. We have not gotten a response on our most recent requests from customer service or the store. No way would I purchase from haverty's again. read more

If it wasn't for the fact that I had already purchased over $7,000 from Haverty's in the past two years, I would have walked out. It's expensive furniture, but I like the quality. My sales person there lied to me about the financing offered, and if I didn't hear overhear him talking to a manager, I probably would have never known about the specials they were running. He kept telling me my only option was to pay cash because they weren't running any specials. Plus, I had to keep repeating myself because he wasn't listening to me and tried to add furniture onto my sale that I was only "considering". I ended up buying two nightstands (in cash) and he never shook my hand upon leaving, said thank you for purchasing; only mentioned if I was interested in buying the rest of the stuff to come back to him. Truly one of the worst experiences of my life. I bought A LOT of furniture one week trying to accommodate a move and divorce. I had the designer come out to my house and didn't really do anything but upsell me. I bought a couch, bedroom set, mattress and box springs, dining room table, living room chairs, entertainment center and end tables. The quality of all of this furniture was awful. Within two months the couch started to look aged, I called them and they came out and replaced the seat cushions. Two months later the feet on the couch started falling off. Came out again, replaced the couch. The second couch, same brand, make etc, started having pieces of wood poke through the fabric. Keep in mind it was a $5000 couch. I went back to them and got a different couch. I wanted all leather just to prevent all of the fabric issues. I paid extra, for he couch and was assured it was leather. It's not.... it's wearing horribly and once again just garbage. The end tables were metal weave. Beautiful end tables. Within a month they were rusting. They came out and would only replace them. Second set, same issue. They were $800 a piece. These are just some examples of the quality of this place. They pretend to care and pretend to offer all of these warranties but I will promise you, I did not find any of them to work out. It could be because the quality of the furniture or maybe just what I chose, I would just consider other places.
