I had two leaks they were happy to point out to me, and instead of trying to get me to pay them to fix it and make it sound worse than it was, they did a little quick bandaid type fix that would stop the leaking long enough for me to fix it myself. They told me the part names, who in town might be able to fix it cheap, and wished me the best. $55 for a high mileage oil change and they're truthful about everything. My coolant hose connector was so worn and brittle the hose just came off (the car has over 200k miles), they helped me pick all of the broken plastic out, plugged the holes and gave me all the advice they could, didn't ask for a cent more than the cost of the oil change. I've heard so much about these oil change places utterly ripping you off with lies selling you services you don't need and not actually doing them. but these guys stand alone. Only reason I don't want to send a bunch of well deserved business their way is so that it's not too busy next time I go (jk jk) even when they're a little backed up, they're working hard at each vehicle and there are a couple of awesome guys working up there. This is not just poor service -- this is fraudulent, deceptive, and reckless behavior. Defective and Unsafe Vehicle: The car I purchased was delivered in defective and unsafe condition. From day one, it had torn windshield wipers, a dead key fob battery, and a cracked tail light. None of these defects were disclosed prior to sale. Selling a vehicle in this condition is fraud, breach of contract, and a violation of consumer protection laws. I should never have been forced to take possession of a car in this state, yet this dealership acted as if it were normal. Failure to Provide Title and Tags: It has been over two months, and I still do not have my title or registration. I've had to constantly call and beg for temporary tags just to legally drive the car. Every time I called, I was met with excuses and delays: "It's coming," "We don't have it yet," or "Just wait a little longer." This is reckless disregard for legal obligations and basic customer service. Nasty, Unprofessional Attitudes: Every staff interaction has been met with rude, dismissive, and hostile behavior. Klay told me, "It's a used car, what do you expect?" -- a statement that is disrespectful, dismissive, and shows total bad faith. Brady, when pressed about reimbursement for the battery, lied, blamed the weather, and made up multiple excuses, including: "It's not our problem," "The battery was fine when sold," and "You should have checked it before buying." These are blatant attempts to avoid responsibility. Battery Disaster and Runaround: The car battery failed completely before permanent tags were even issued. Their "solution" -- demanding I drive three hours to pick up a replacement -- was absurd and unsafe. When I asked for reimbursement, Brady repeatedly gave the runaround, refused accountability, and acted extremely unprofessionally, making up excuses rather than fixing the problem. Possible Discrimination: I strongly suspect I was treated unfairly due to discrimination. My cousin previously worked at this dealership and witnessed the toxic, biased culture firsthand. The repeated dismissive and disrespectful behavior made me feel I was treated differently from other customers, which is unacceptable. Nope, not closed It's simply operating under a new name. The "closed" status makes reviews pretty much impossible, so I'm posting this here... I'm a former Vix resident of 11 years now living in Byram, but still like to handle car matters in Vix due to generally better prices. My trusted oil change guy there for years doesn't do weekends anymore (much like the former S&S), plus doesn't do transmissions anyway, so he recommended the place to me to see about the aging, proprietary piece of crap CVT in my 2015 Nissan Versa, which is up to 179K miles. Predictably, nothing can be done on the highly complex, proprietary CVT without Nissan's wondrous dealerships' help and high cost. No harm, no foul...I told the Stauts gang to simply change the oil and find out why my temp gauge has always run hot the past coupla summers in any moderate amount of traffic. Turns out, the radiator fans needed to be replaced. No harm, no foul, until I called them for an update.... Was told the starter went out after a severe early-morning thunderstorm the previous Friday. Sounded like they were afraid to tell me, so I made sure I made known I wouldn't be paying a cent for such a mystery. Mostly no foul, as a new starter was put in at no charge. My wife and I paid the bill last Friday and made small talk with the receptionist, then went to leave when.... I noticed the keypad wasn't working. My physical key can still manually turn the key, but it surely defeats the purpose of having a pad if the buttons don't lock and unlock the doors anymore. Was told it was likely the battery that got zapped by the supernatural storm (?!) That hasn't turned out to be totally true, as a brand-new battery sized appropriately for the pad hasn't worked since purchasing it this past weekend. Also, the clock on the car's stereo was about two hours behind when I got into the car to take it home. Indeed, there was something done with the vehicle's electrical system that actually caused all this. I'm sure it's possible to handle a person's vehicle issues without affecting the keyless entry? And the starter? I spent some of the wait time during the repair process in the hospital with an unexpected cardiac event. And so I really don't have the energy to deal with trying to make them pay for a replacement keypad without pricey legalese. I'll muddle along and open the doors manually and lock them using the inner-door button. They get three stars for what they WERE able to do, but the unfortunate deal with my starter and keypad is a caution for those needing highly technical work done by a small outfit. And work to issues that you might not know are even happening! Some post-notes: I got only one keypad when I bought the car. No spare key at all. It'll be the last Nissan and the last CVT I drive.
