We went through the drive-thru to pick up some macaroni salad to take to a gathering. We were greeted by the friendliest and kindest lady. She accommodated my request- they only sell macaroni salad as a side, but I ordered several and she put them in a catering dish and provided a serving spoon. She explained their rewards with no pushiness at all. It was just a very pleasant experience. When she advised about leaving a review, I didn't hesitate. I wouldn't know authentic Hawaiian food if it bit me, and I'm sure it's safe to assume this isn't authentic, but ignorance is bliss and I'm in heaven. I'm absolutely obsessed with Hawaiian Bros. I live nowhere near this location, but it is the closest one to me, and any night where I have the energy to haul my butt over to Kyle, you can bet I'm doing it. For me it's all about the extreme temps. The piping hot, sweet/savory chicken, loaded up with garlic, and then the nearly ice cold mac-salad. Ugh, it's perfection. I wish I was eating it right now. I've never eaten inside, so I can't really speak to the ambiance, but the servers in the drive through have always been sufficiently friendly. I mean it's ultimately a fast food joint, so people complaining about the service maybe need to chill out a bit. It's not fine dining, y'all... My only complaint is that the spam musubi comes wrapped in plastic and obviously sits for a while in the back, because it ends up tasting like the plastic wrapper. I don't think musubi is the kind of thing that needs to be super fresh to enjoy, and again it's fast food, so I don't expect it seared up fresh on the spot, I just wish they'd package it differently. I love that almost everything at Hawaiian Bros is gluten free, and you wouldn't know it! First, it is super easy to order either on the app or in the restaurant. The restaurant itself has always been clean and well-maintained. Next, I really love that you can order sauce on the side and make it as saucy or not as you want! Some of the sauces are sweet, so less is more, but all is delicious! We definitely get the Luau Pork and the Kilauea Chicken every time, and sometimes we will add the Molokai Chicken. Rice is always perfectly cooked, and since the macaroni salad isn't our fave, we normally sub it for pineapple or rice! We just like that after eating there, we don't feel heavy or bloated like there was too salt. The portion sizes are great, even for the lunch plate! Solid value for dollar, and we normally eat every bite! Lots of protein vs. dishes with tons of veggies to hide the lack of protein! I really enjoy the Musabi; it hits every time! Perfectly made and delicious. And then the BEST END to the meal is the Dole Whip! Strawberry and/or pineapple! I like the classic pineapple, but either is great! I used to patronize a restaurant called Hawaiian BBQ in another state, so I wanted to try this restaurant and see how their food is. There was only one car in the parking lot, probably an employee's. But, there's a drive-thru, and that line was long. Once inside, I was immediately greeted by the only hostess. They didn't need but one because there were no customers. Except for me. Lol I ordered a mixed plate of grilled chicken (very tasty) and shredded pork (also tasty). Along with veggies, rice, macaroni salad, and pineapple. All really prepared well, with the perfect seasoning. My hat's off to their chef(s). As I'm waiting inside the restaurant (about 10 minutes), I saw there's plenty of seating, high-chairs for toddlers, soft drink machines, nice paintings and signs on the walls. Rather than paper menus, there are kiosks to order from. It was a bit expensive but, hey, inflation. I'm definitely returning, and I highly recommend this restaurant for the entire family. read more

I ordered a classic combo plate and the food was tasty but the portions were very small, definitely not like the pictures for the size ordered and everything costs extra if you change the sides. After many positive visits to this location, I was shocked and disappointed by my most recent experience. My food order was incorrect, and when I brought it to the attention of the staff, the associate became argumentative and repeatedly accused me of not paying for the missing item--even though I offered multiple times to pay for it. Rather than resolving the issue professionally, the associate responded in a rude, antagonistic, and unprofessional manner. What should have been a simple correction turned into a highly uncomfortable situation due to her aggressive approach. This interaction created a negative and hostile atmosphere--completely out of line with what I've come to expect from this location. And maybe I was just so hungry our first go around but on the inside menu I didn't see the Musibi so I was honestly disappointed, but I noticed it right away in the drive through and fell in love. We are from Hawaii and love to get some local foods! I love their Kalua pig because it's the closest pork I can taste from home. We love to bring our friends here to get a taste of our local plates. This was my first time at this location. I always love how friendly the staff is and the restaurant was super clean. All of our food was made fresh to order. First off the menu wasn't very easy to navigate. The Mac salad was too much mayo and didn't have the Hawaiin flavors. The musubi was a bit dry and the rice in it was a bit soggy. The tables were not clean and there was hardly anybody there. Not sure I'll go back. read more

We stopped at Hawaiian Bros for lunch and were pleasantly surprised but a super friendly crew and management, an ultra clean interior and amazingly good and plentiful food. The classic plate size is more than enough for an adult. In fact we brought home food. You have the option to do a combo if you want more than one type of meat or to add veggies. The small is good for a child. The sticky rice is perfect. But the meat. The meat is tender and flavorful. We had three different kinds of varying spice levels and all were good. The veggies are a mix of carrots, onions, bell pepper, broccoli and mushroom. The price point is amazing for the portions. A lunch with a drink and leftover, tip included was less than $15. Incredible. It is fast casual. You go in and have the option to pay at a kiosk or with a cashier. As stated, the staff is wildly friendly. The order is brought to your table which is nice. They also have a rewards/loyalty program. The Dole Whip is fantastic. It's not quite the Disneyland flavor if you know it, but it's super close and so refreshing. These bros know what they're doing! We went the day after Opening Day, figuring it might be calmer. No way, haha! The drive-thru line was longer than a Whataburger line! I have eaten street food in Hawaii on two separate trips. This is similar but with a smaller menu. No rice covered with hamburger patties, eggs, brown gravy, and sometimes pancakes and spam. Lol Several items to choose from. I thought the food was really good. If you are not prepared, it is comfort food, rice, chicken several ways, a pulled pork ( very smoky flavor, I liked it), macaroni mixed with mayonnaise, more rice, some condiments. The meats are served over rice and rice is also one of the standard sides. I had the (forgot the name) teriyaki chicken, the pork, with rice, and macaroni as my sides. I ate it all . It was cabolishous. Lol I also ordered spam on rice tied with seaweed similar to sushi. Over all I will go back, unfortunately due to the number of carbs not too often but I will go again. read more

Came to this location this past Saturday once they opened. We were craving for some local food, glad we decided to stop by here. My family and I went to a different location in Austin and weren't too impressed with the taste but I'm glad we gave it another chance because we'll definitely be coming back when in the area. We tried different mixed plates - huli-huli, Molokai, Honolulu and the kalua pig. Everything tasted amazing. They have their meats placed on a bed of rice and extra side rice, or if you prefer steamed veggies or pineapple. The manager also came around to make sure we were doing okay.
