Just a little old country joint. I asked for sweet and spicy barbecue to put on my sandwich. Was excited to come here after seeing all the great reviews. Not sure if we just ordered the wrong thing or what. Brisket was dry and lacked flavor beside just subtle smokiness. I would have added extra bbq except for the fact that the bbq on the tables seemed to have been sitting out for a while as the label was molded. Beans were good! If we lived local, we might give them another try and get a different main dish, but not worth driving from out of town. It was a cool vibe though with all the signs and such. One and done with this place. Beans straight from the can and not even close to Bushes beans much less not as good as VanCamps, Potato salad was a ball of mush. And the pork was so tuff it was inedible. Tossed the entire meal in the garbage can. read more

Mark and his wife has worked very hard to get where they are at and the food is spectacular the servi e is equal lmao a truck driver from Ohio and I met them on a early Friday morning around 2 am and I had them make me some shirts with there logo on them and I got to know him pretty well in the days a d weeks that passed it is a all around damn good place to get real BBQ and to relax .I'm gonna be riding my bike to visit them real soon thanks again Mark. Kinda torn on this review. We went there twice. The first visit we ordered bbq pork sandwich with chips, potato salad, 3 additional bbq sandwich, ribeye steak sandwich, 1/2 pound cheeseburger with cheese and ketchup. Got back to the racetrack and 2 of the bbq sandwiches had coleslaw and 2 didn't. No one asked for coleslaw. Ribeye steak sandwich was tender and very thin for $12 had to add bbq sauce for flavor. Would not order again. 1/2 lb Cheeseburger was missing from our order, however I called and they made us a burger the next day. Which I appreciated. The $10 burger was dry and smoky flavored. The lady that made the burger seemed to have a little attitude about it. ( I offered to show my bank statement where I bought it) Cashier lady is super nice (black hair). Recommend getting the BBQ Pork sandwiches and letting them know if you want slaw on it. Great flavored bbq sauce. Homemade chips were delicious. Skip the potato salad- it was different. A special thanks to the cashier- she was real nice and could teach the other 2 older ladies about good customer service. read more

I would have given them a higher score cause the foods pretty good, but I bought their pulled pork by the pound and they wouldn't sell me hamburger buns so that I could serve the pulled pork. They told me to go down to the dollar store and buy buns. They had buns but only if you bought the pulled pork sandwich. Not sure that is a smart business practice. read more

Hawg's Ass Sammiches offers an exceptional BBQ experience. I've tried most of their meats to include pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, and ribs - all were excellent and worth the money. Sides are great too but I mostly stick to the baked beans and creek fries. Service is always good. Seating is limited to a semi-outdoor space, if that matters to you. read more

Ok, my wife and I have been passing by this place for over a year, problem was we usually had already ate, was in a hurry, etc. Well, finally we stopped and it was good! Now I wish I could give 4.5 stars but I'll get into that but first, the meat. I ordered a rack and my wife ordered a half rack of ribs, the meat was tasty, fell off the bone good, was a dry rub so very little mess, has good smoke and char, we also ordered 2 sides, the potato salad and the baked beans. The potato salad was flavorful, well made and just good, now, the beans, not so much. For a place with such great tasting meat, the beans were just bland, no flavor other than what you might expect from a can, just average, that's where the 4.5 would come from, those beans needs work. It's a window order or phone I assume, looked like some outside seating, it's a little on the pricey side but other than the beans, we were not disappointed, we will be back. read more
