Service was very quick and the food tasted awesome. The drive-thru concept is really efficient. I also got a side salad, which was fresh. We really liked the house-made garlic cream cheese with the dipsticks, and the pizza was very good. As a previous reviewer commented, the pizza sauce with the dipsticks was a little salty, but I didn't notice the sauce's saltiness on the double bacon cheeseburger pizza? On a random Wednesday after work, my wife and I found ourselves unexpectedly childless and with plenty of time to be adventuresome for dinner. Having recently discussed the cleveland.com article "The best pizza shop in each of Ohio's 88 counties" with coworkers, I knew dinner would be pizza in a neighbouring county, but the question was which one? After a couple of quick paper-rock-scissors matches, first East (Sandusky county) and then South (Hancock) were elimited, so we headed West for the 45-minute drive to Napoleon. Arriving at Hawks Pizza and Drive Thru, the establishment looked exactly like what its name says: a drive-thru snack and beverage store ... which also happened to have a fully equipped pizzeria kitchen. Pulling in and explaining why we were there, the bemused employee gave us the run-down for how things work: people generally call-in their orders ahead of time, then come and get them. Since we were already there, we ordered a 9-inch pizza with black olives and ham. With a bag of chips and two bottles of soda, our total bill came to $14.60, which felt pretty typical. Orders placed, we left to explore Napoleon for the 25 minutes necessary to cook our order. After the specified period of time, we returned to pick up our pizza, and drove to the nearby East Riverdowns Park to enjoy it. The pizza smelled and looked good, with a clearly generous helping of cheese. The taste was good, but definitely not knock your socks off spectacular. I felt the marinara sauce on the pizza was a bit salty, but my wife felt it was within the spectrum of typical. PROS: reasonable prices and portion sizes CONS: we had no complaints Overall, I rate Hawks Pizza and Drive Thru as being Good and would return. read more

Been a big fan of Hawks my whole life , however the last 2-3 times I've gotten a pizza it's been super heavy with sauce . So I ask for less sauce today and I feel like again the gentleman soaked the pizza with sauce to spite me . Disappointed mostly. Want to continue supporting a local business but not interested in paying 15 bucks for a trash pizza . *picture was taken even after I patted the pie down with a paper towel. Food and pizza are great! And when you can take advantage of the specials that they have, that is even a better deal! The pizza's have great sauce, with a generous helping of mozzarella cheese evenly distributed over the pizza. The crust has a great texture to it and the people are very friendly and polite. If I didn't like this pizza so much I wouldn't give 4 stars because the slow service the last few times I have been there is disheartening. My order was supposed to be ready at 6:10 pm. I pulled in and paid for my order and left a tip and was told my order wasn't quite ready so I was asked to pull outside and they would bring it out to me. 25 minutes later, my order was brought out to me. There were about 8 other cars parked along the street waiting for their orders. My pizza wasn't even hot when they brought it out to me, so I am guessing the hold up was the bread sticks for the Saturday special, but not sure. How about the Saturday special having an option for no bread sticks for $14.99. read more

Clark sold it a few months back and the new owner changed some things and increased some prices so I was very hesitant to continue eating there. Boy was I wrong. The new owner has done wonders! The pizza is always reliable and cooked to perfection (something that would vary occasionally before) and the staff seems much much nicer! I LOVE the new online ordering system! All around awesome owner and changes! Pizza is the same, but somehow even better!! Dipsticks are AMAZING! I'd bathe in the cream cheese if I could!! They even donate a percentage of their profits on certain days of the month as well!! You'd have to be crazy not to eat here as often as possible! read more

Hawks is a great place for pizza, subs, and ice cream. As it is a drive-thru, you really do need to phone-in your order if you plan to get pizza. Their toppings are fantastic and their prices are very reasonable for the high quality they provide. During the warmer months of the year they make their own soft-serve ice cream which is absolutely fantastic. For just over a dollar you can get a small ice cream in a bowl, which is a styrofoam bowl containing about 2 cups of ice cream. That's dang hard to beat. read more

The weekday lunch deal is crazy. Less than $3 for a one-topping personal pan pizza that's crazy delicious (much better than those Pizza Hut ones that I used to get from reading books). It's a drive-through so you can get any sort of beverage with your pizza. There is one picnic table outside if you're wanting to sit near the drive-through and enjoy your meal. I'm a little sad I didn't get to try the supreme or the taco pizza :( read more

Grew up loving Hawks and I always make sure that I stop in when I come back to Napoleon.

The food is excellent! The taco pizza is my favorite. I eat there 2 or 3 times when I come in to visit family.

So my boyfriend took me home for Christmas for the first time, and I've been hearing about this place FOREVER. He told me he was dumping me if I didn't like Hawks Pizza, so 5 stars! Just kidding - the 5 stars is my own personal rating. We only got pizza, so I can't speak to any other items on the menu, but it was delicious. Mind you, this isn't some fancy place with gourmet toppings you can't pronounce, but it's not a place that only has cheap crappy pizzas either. It's drive-thru only, so you cannot eat here. We got a pepperoni pizza with extra sauce, and I loved how cheesy it was, plus the pepperoni pieces were a little crispy from the baking, which is just how I like them. Kudos to the staff for giving us a free pizza for waiting a little longer than expected due to one of our pizzas not coming out right the first time. Next time I'm in Napoleon, I'll have to try some of their Mexican food (who knew there was a combo pizza/Mexican place?! This is my dream come true)!! read more
