I recently finished a gut renovation of an apartment, but soon realized that the contractor would…read morenot finish off the cat5 cables that they ran in the walls. I needed someone to cap off the cat5 and cable wires onto wall plates in several rooms. Besides this, I had two flat panel TV's that needed to be hung. I also had a number of video cameras that had to be mounted and positioned outside the house. I also needed my internet service routed from another floor of the house to the new apartment. Finally, I needed all the above to be tied into one seamless network integration. While I'm not an IT or cable installation guy, I had a general understanding of how things work, and more importantly, what I wanted done. Therefore, I began hunting for a Network/Home Theater/Security System Installation company that was capable, reliable, listened to my needs, AND most importantly, wasn't going to "soak me dry" by charging me a lot of money. After weeks of calling and vetting companies to look at the work, I called IGTech after reading their website from the internet. At that point, I met with Alex who is the senior technician with IGTech and he spent well over an hour to see and understand the job at hand and what I wanted and was looking for. I then spoke with Igor, one of the owners, who assured me the work would be as I described and give me a year guarantee on everything they do. He also gave me a discount making him, by far, the best value for the work I needed. I hired IGTech and the work was done over the course of several days since it was a lot of work. Most importantly, they hid all the wires (and there were many) in a small closet that now functions as an IT closet without any visible damage to the walls. They worked hard to meet all my demands. Alex was very patient and personable and did a fine job supervising his crew. In the end, the lived up to, and exceeded my expectations of the work they did. I have done three complete rehauls of my home theater since (in fact Vince just finished my latest remote work). The system is quite involved with video processors, dirac sound processors, atmos 7.4.4 surround, including multiple different video sources to choose from. My 5 year old twin are able to goto the theater and turn everything on and choose a movie or play video games. The wife is also able to do the same. I was very happy when guests stopped by yesterday to watch a movie but I wasn't home. My wife told them to go upstairs, the remote was sitting on the couch. People who have never used my system were able to start the theater and choose their movie. When they were done, they actually shut everything down properly as well. Not many people with intricate systems (let alone simple ones) can say their remote system is this simple and intuative that anyone can use it. This is the quality of work I have been getting from Vince for over 5 years. This is not my last theater reno/upgrade and it is not the last time Vince will be doing my automation.
