If I could give Hayes Realty zero stars, I would. As a landlord, they may treat you wonderful. As a renting tenant, they will nickel and dime you. They do not have a direct line of communication. They do not make repairs. They do not follow their part of their contact whatsoever. Their excuse, "We are waiting on landlord approval." Google comments say it best. I hope they start to take me seriously, or I will be pursuing legal options by the end of this week. I would NOT recommend in the slightest renting from this company. These people are thief. Worst management company. I lived in one of the apt they managed. They were so unprofessional and super cheap people. Apartment in front of university of Akron (Buchtel avenue ) had bed bags. It's super cold during the winter because wind come right through, and super hot during summer. They always make a mistake with my rent and charge more than what I signed up and I had to send email multiple time because they don't answer phone. Even they had agreed with their mistakes, but they still charged me for the late fee. I filed every documents so they dropped late fee and fixed my rent. Good thing that I had all my documents. I hired mehgan as my property manager in November 2012 and she did not do a good job of managing my property. the house was furnished and she insisted that we do a clean out in order to rent it out. I reluctantly agreed to this and was specific in what items were to be left in the house. she stole the new deepfreeze, fireplace, 7 air conditioner, fans and tools. she had the only keys to the property and the doors were always locked so she suggested in court that there may have been a break in.it was her responsibility to care for my property as if it was hers,right? not fit to be a property manager at all. read more

We moved into our apartment a little over 4 months ago. Prior rental comp. did nothing to fix several serious maintenance issues prior to us moving in as per our agreement. Hayes Realty (DBA HPM Property Management) (GRANTOR; Gross Family, Castle Homes, Gross Family Limited; Scott B Gross) (GRANTEE; Dakota Ridge One LLC, Beal Properties, ) took over maintenance of the property (legally, on paper) 1 month after we took possession of the property we were guaranteed our prev. issues would be taking care of and not to worry as they were professional and had absolutely nothing to do with the prev. management.(which if you do your homework is technically not the case) Random Maintenance men visited our home on several occasions would take pictures of our issues report back to the property manager or owners not really sure because we would never hear from them again (yes scarry) This back and forth game started over 3 months ago.(pretending the issues are being handled and nothing gets done) I am extremely concerned because A) Health reasons B) Who are these people they are sending to walk through my home?) I was honestly told by one of the contractors they do not work for them they are independent contractors that perform work?? And yes I confirmed who actually sent them because I am well aware the owners will send contractors out to fix the property. The major issues I have been screaming, texting, writing, emailing and calling about for over 4 months are as follows 1.) Dishwasher broke cracked mildew leaking, (NEVER USED) 2.)Countertop water damaged when i wipe the counters rotted wood falls on floor and on dishtowels (MOLD AND MILDEW forming under the countertop) 3.) Closet door hinge broke closet door literally fell on my head 4.) Air vent in bathroom blows dirt, debris, from hole in the roof when it rains or is extremely windy I have to clean the bathroom every morning maintenance confirmed the hole during 1 of many picture taking sessions) 5.) Patio window cover with a chemical or some type of paint you cant see out of it) Patio and spare bedroom window wood frame is rotted, cracked and peeling air seeps in rain wets carpet.(Heat bill extremely high) 6) Patio blinds broke if patio opens and wind blows blinds fly off. 7) At@t came to install internet i had to sign a waiver they found wasp nest and larvae covering inside living room wall i work from home and now my internet is intermittent At@t will only come out if I agree to pay 99$ if they confirm the issue is of no fault of theirs (they provided me with a letter for my records for the health dept.) 8) Smoke detector fails to work because there is a hole surrounding it due to water damage. As of 3 weeks ago my refrigerator started to leak we had to turn the fridge on 8 or 9 to keep our food cold; we called them texted them screamed the normal train of events to receive help finally sent someone on 5/10 this takes the cake instead of replacing fridge with new one ..he opens back of freezer larva and dead bugs visually consuming the compressor my husband calls them after i had a nervous breakdown while the guy is here and they lie to him tell him they are going to handle it and guess what they closed shop left for the day (Friday) hope you guys had a great weekend Happy Mothers Day so today is 5/12/2019 guess what refrigerator is hot does not work no food it's Mother's Day I am stuck bleaching my kitchen because I am disgusted, Soo I have had it..it seems unreal i have paid rent this long i'm done calling fussing screaming texting threatening because i rent from slumlords. 1ST STEP..I filed a complaint with BBB, I will do my diligence to post, write, sue, email, file complaints, hold rent in escrow, document every encounter contact any and all that is associated with being part of taking my rent until I am satisfied with my outcome. Even if we move you will still hear from me. We work every day and pay over $1000 a month including utilities. My husband works hard I refuse to be a victim of Slum Lords it's just not in my DNA. Currently living in a Hayes property and I can say that I am glad we are almost out of here. The property manager is unprofessional and not attentive to the needs of the tenants. They want rent on time but don't want to fix anything in the home. Not a good establishment can't even make sure that the mail carrier has the proper credentials to gain access to the building in order to deliver tenants mail everyday. I have called and asked for the situation to be rectified nothing has been done. the manager of the US Postal Service has also tried contacting the management team and she herself has been giving a complete run around. When you call you get a receptionist who tells you that she will deliver the message which she's not sure to whom she is sending the message to but, "someone" will get back with me. This has been an issue that has been going on for the past month and a half, I have remain quiet and patient but clearly my tactic of how I am approaching the situation is no longer working. My hand is being forced which has brought me here. A platform which I know people will see and maybe then I can get some type of response. This is just one major issue out of other issues that the property management team chooses to ignore. read more
