We have moved more times than I like to admit sometimes. I'd like to say we are pros. In the 25 years my husband and I have moved to several states across country and local many times. We have had so many bad experiences in the past we are always weary. Hays Brother moving is by far the best moving company we have ever ever worked with. Amy was extremely responsive and helpful and I even inquired late at night. The movers were timely, professional and knew exactly what they were doing. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. We had a scheduled move day today, 2/13. No precipitation in forecast until tonight. Is it cold? Yes. They tried asking me to move up my move day to yesterday even though the temps and forecast were the same. I told them we wouldn't be ready and was not concerned because there was no bad weather for today. Yes, we knew bad weather is coming but today was going to be the last good day before that happens, and we have to be out of the house by Wednesday. Company text last night at 7:37 pm to confirm their arrival between 7-7:30 am this morning. At 7:16 am we get a text, not a call, that it's not safe for them to get out and work today. Text ended with "Sorry". Seriously? Not even a phone call! So when I responded about getting a text and not a call, Jerry calls. First thing out of his mouth was, "You would get the same information whether it was in a text or a call". So unprofessional! Weather was fine. Here are the pictures of what it's like at 1:00 pm. They would have been more than half way done with our move which was literally 4 blocks away in the same neighborhood. I called 20 companies and everyone was out working today to get people moved before the snow comes next week. Not this guy! Beware! Now we are stuck which is affecting other families because we can't get moved out of our house. All because the mover I chose was unreliable and unprofessional! read more

When the movers showed up, they were on time, very nice, and very professional. They really did a great job making sure that everything was moved with care and they all had a great sense of humor. One great thing about them is if you have a big piece of furniture that you need to get rid of, they will help you donate it or put it on the curb. Genuine & kind hearted. I work for a moving company in Austin Texas and we have a job in the Dallas area tomorrow. Long story short, we needed someone to go move a shipment of packing supplies out of the customers driveway because she had an emergency and could not get out of her driveway. They said they were 10 minutes away from the address and that they would go move the stuff. A short time later we had to call them back and tell them never mind because the lady hulked it up herself and moved everything out of the way. We needed a few items moved from our home to my moms home to make room for a new baby. It was a very large, heavy desk and queen bed. Seven miles door to door. Most movers we contacted wouldn't come out for less than $300. I found Hays brothers through an affiliated group on Facebook, sent photos of my items and got a quick quote. They were half of what the minimum was with the other guys. They did the job this morning, were prompt, professional, polite. My father in law was so impressed he commented that we needed to keep them in mind for future moves and I agree. Their truck would easily have accommodated a home full of furniture. I was never worried about my things, they protect your furniture, and are very trust worthy. (Hilarious guys too) they were very personable and helpful. These guys were super nice and on time but they broke several pieces of my big furniture and were super condescending and rude about it when It was done. They broke the mirror on my dresser in my master, (because they put it back on wrong and it fell off and broke) the front right of my dresser is completely dented in, and my beautiful entertainment center doesn't sit level anymore, the molding is broken at the top and the drawers don't open and close. So frustrating! I've moved many many times and have never had my furniture broken or been treated so rudely when confronted about it. He pretty much let me know there isn't much I can do about it. There were several firsts with my move experience with Hayes Brothers. The big one was they showed up as scheduled and Jerry and the crew were not only fast and efficient, but also very careful. They treat your furniture like it was their own. I have moved many times both long haul and short and have never been moved this efficiently. This has been my fifth major move. In the past, my experiences were satisfactory at best. Hays Brothers have been the only company to surpass my expectations. Scheduling with Amy and Jerry was fantastic. The movers came by the day before the move to check things out and to see if I had any questions. On time the day of the move, did what they said and did it faster than they quoted. The team was not wasting time or texting/talking on theor phones. They were professional and extremely helpful. We were making an out of state move and we got a recommendation to use Hays Brothers to do our packing. Best decision and experience ever. They were amazing. Our furniture and belongings ended up being stored on a trailer for almost 4 months. It was the dead of Summer and temperatures outside were mid 90's and lots of humidity which meant inside the trailer it was around 140 degrees. I thought all of my belongs would be ruined and my furniture destroyed. However, since Hays Brothers took the time to wrap everything in blankets before shrink wrapping I had no problems. Jerry and his movers were great! They arrived on time and were very friendly. They took the time to make sure fragile items arrived in once piece and took care not to ding the walls. Pretty much treated our furniture as if it was their own! The company charges by the hour and has an additional fee for transportation, but the price is totally reasonable considering I didn't have to lift a finger. Absolutely could not have asked for better movers. They called the night before (on a Sunday) to let me know they were going to be at my apt at 930 instead of 8. Which I appreciated because I had an errand I could get done and wasn't left wondering where they might be. They also called about 10 mins before arrival time to let me know they were on their way. There were three movers and each shook my hand and introduced themselves. They were professional and efficient. The price I paid was reasonable and I had a third floor to third floor move done in 3 hours. Highly recommend! read more
