I'm a happy customer and overall I was pleased with the move. Lano was very professional, personable, and very careful with my items. The other gentleman was okay. They did not wrap my couch after my request and my couch ended up being dirty, but it was under warranty with a large furniture company and they took care of it. My first move was impeccable, and there were some flaws with this one, but overall I will give it a five star rating. My feedback is always wrap a couch, particularly when requested, I would recommend this company as they are head and shoulders above other companies. There is always room for improvement, and although this move had a couple things that could've been improved upon, overall, it is a very respectable and trustworthy company. read more

I used this company for a recent move. The price was reasonable and they had availability when I needed. After the move, when I was unpacking, etc, I discovered a brand new ceiling fan (still in box) was missing. I contacted Big Daddy's several times. Each time I was told someone would call me back. No one ever did. I had to report it to the police. I attempted to resolve but company had no interest in handling this. Once they had my money, they could care less. read more

If it had not been for the professional and efficient men from Big Daddy's Moving this past year our experience could have been truly horrible. My husband's job took us to Europe for three years and we collected a lot of heavy, antique furniture, art and china. We flooded just before Halloween 2023. The cleaning crew came and did a good job. but the guys from Big Daddy's were superb. I have too many antiques to list including six out of production complete china sets from England and Germany. They wrapped, packed and moved all into the second floor of our garage. The heavy, antique furniture was stored in the garage area. They were so very careful. One more flood (into the garage as well) and 12 months of renovations; the same crew returned to help us. They were awesome with moving the furniture back; returned two more times to unpack and arrange the items. All of the china was pristine - all of it. We have moved 5 times in 14 years and this group was the most professional, kind and understanding. They packed and unpacked us. They carefully wrapped and padded our furniture moving pieces into the garage and then back into the house. And in addition, these men were so pleasant and helpful. I was referred to this moving company by a colleague. I read the reviews and was excited about using this company only to be disappointed. Let me start with the request that they asked of me which was to photograph my move with not offering any type of discount but I allowed it. My move took way longer than expected and one of the movers actually went and got food from a nearby food truck during my move. Several things I asked them to do, did not get done but they definitely wanted to be paid. They also have to come back for wall repairs which I can't say I trust them too do. Overall this was my worst moving experience and I have moved several times from several different states. read more

Would I recommend BD Moving to friends and relatives? Hells yes! Moved last summer, hot and ugly, and these guys were constantly upbeat and quick! They arrived on time, and when the two young guys got out of the truck, I thought, great...I get to babysit. Not so! EXCEPTIONAL service. The pay scale is on how fast they get things loaded...I was concerned, my obvious question was, "What if they move slow?" the reply was "We don't use slow people." They were correct! As the one young gun loaded my junk, he whistled. I couldn't believe it - it was freakin' hot in August, but no worries from him! The other guy would pack the truck and tie things down. Very professional. I gotta say...NOBODY comes close to the quality experience I got. I should know, I have used plenty of movers. Three stars because this experience has been great, disappointing and upsetting. The great: It was about 110 degrees on our moving day and we were moving out of a third floor apartment. These guys were hustling - literally running up the stairs two at a time. They were taking care with each item they carried back down. Although the move ended up taking about 5 hours (longer than we expected), it wasn't because they weren't moving quickly. The disappointing: When the move was complete and it came time to pay their invoice included a larger fuel charge than I was quoted. When I told them about the difference they told me their charge was correct and that's what I'd have to pay. After some discussing they agreed to bring it down to the quoted amount. The upsetting: During the move a bookcase fell and punctured one of my walls. When I brought it to their attention they said it wasn't their responsibility because the book case fell 'after they took their hands off'. Again, after some discussion they agreed to note it on the invoice and have someone contact me. No contact. I called, they ask me to text photos and assured me they would fix it. No reply to my text. I call, they claim they didn't receive the text and ask me to email. I email. No reply to my email. I call. They say they will have someone contact me to discuss. No call. I call again. No call back. I call again. No answer, but a text telling me they are unavailable. I text and ask for a call back. No call. This is where I gave up. I expected more than to have to make multiples calls, emails and texts without resolution. I decided to go with this company after reading all these wonderful reviews - even paying more per hour than many other companies were quoting me - because of the service they promised. Although I could see that service on the front end, I'm still left with a hole in the wall on the back end. read more

I had a great experience with Big Daddy's Moving. The guys were punctual, professional and worked harder than any other movers I've ever hired. They were extra careful with my things and even took steps to make sure they weren't tracking mud into my apartment. They ended up finishing in far less time than we anticipated and there was no damage to any of my furniture or belongings, another first! I booked this company late in the day on a Friday for a next day (Saturday) move (they were the only company still answering calls past 6pm on a Friday, which was nice)... but unfortunately, on their way to my house the next day, they called and said their truck had broken down en route, and they presumed it was an empty gas tank. So I had to cancel and find another moving company bc I was under a timeline to vacate my rental unit. They were at least friendly and contacted me immediately when there was an issue and answered my calls. read more

This was the best experience we've had with any moving company. Our move was not the easiest either, we moved from a 2nd floor apartment to a 3rd floor. Rex, the owner of Big Daddy's, and the rest of his team are superb. By far the best moving experience we've ever had. They came in nearly $2,000 lower on price to move us from Dallas to Santa Barbara. We did a full service move, they packers did a very good job, we left our house with everything still in it and drove to Santa Barbara entrusting Rex and company to get the job done correctly. On Friday they packed, Saturday the left Dallas in two trucks and showed up in Santa Barbara on Monday. Rex and his helper on the Santa Barbara end, Justin, worked tirelessly for over 8 hours to get all our stuff (and there's a lot) into our new home. Nothing got broken, the worst thing that happened was a small pillow got small stain when it rolled into something when they were unloading (Rex even offered to pay to have it cleaned). By far the most courteous and professional team we've had move us. I can't say enough. Big Daddy's is the antithesis of all the bad stuff you hear about moving companies. My only complain is they are almost too polite! :) If you are concerned about finding a reputable moving company don't be, just call Big Daddy's and forget about it. I used Big Daddy's a couple of weeks ago and with all the craziness of moving, I'm just barely getting around to this review. They were So awesome! I found out about them through a website from my job and decided to give them a shot. I called on two separate occasions and both times received great friendly help. It was so easy to set up my appointment, and they weren't pushy or sneaky in any way. On moving day, the guys showed up with great attitudes. I was worried about stuff either not fitting in the storage unit, or the moving going over the two hours we had planned for. However, they were extremely efficient and quick!... serious Tetris Masters. They assured me that everything would fit and that they'd get it all done in time. And they were right! I moved last weekend from Irving to Colleyville and chose to use Big Daddy's Moving as my moving company. To begin, when I first called a few companies to enquire about availability and pricing, many of the higher rated companies in help were either dismissive or just failed to respond to voicemail. Big Daddy's Moving was up front with their service, confident and seemed eager to work with my family. The morning of the move, I was sent three polite young guys who had me give them a brief run down of my old place and then they were off. They were constantly working and seemed happy to be doing it. The unpack was more of the same, except it was faster. Before they left, the crew made sure everything was set and asked if we needed help or anything adjusted. I used Big Daddy's to move out at the end of October by recommendation of a friend. Everyone that I spoke to was very nice and professional. And I got a phone call the day before to confirm my moving time at 9:30am the next day. Here is where it starts getting really bad. The day of, I got a call around 9am saying that their truck was broken down and that they wont be able to get to my place till 10:30am, so I waited. I got a call at 10:20 saying that they couldn't get a truck at all for me and that I had to wait until one of the other people that was moving was finished, which they said should be around 3 hours. At this point I was frustrated but understanding. 5 hours later around 3pm, I still haven't heard anything. So at this point I'm super frustrated.. I had a scheduled appointment at 9:30, it got pushed back to 10:30, and then supposedly pushed back another 3 hours after that. I get a call around 3:30pm (6 hours after I was already supposed to have moved) saying that the guys just finished with the previous move and that they'll be over in 45mins-1hr. 40 minutes go by, I get a call saying that they'll be here in 40 more minutes. I DIDN'T HAVE PEOPLE SHOW UP UNTIL 5PM THAT DAY... 5!!! I wasted an ENTIRE day waiting. If they would have told me they would help me at 5pm that day, I wouldn't have been as upset.. but they kept telling me an hour wait, or a couple hours every time which to me, means that I can't get anything else done because of the short time in between. The people who helped me move were good and fast but I didn't appreciate that one of them smoked around my stuff. In the end it only took them about 2 hours, the guys didn't know that I only had 1 bedroom to move... they said if they knew about it they would have helped me first which frustrated me even more because of the lack of communication. They did give me a discount, but I don't think it was worth waiting 8 hours. ALL IN ALL, EVERYTHING WAS FINISHED AROUND 7PM FOR A ONE BEDROOM MOVE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO START AT 9:30AM BUT KEPT GETTING PUSHED BACK. read more

Owner gave one price over the phone and when he came out to view contents to move (which is much less than originally discussed) price doubled with no better explanation than "that was an estimate". Clearly not interested in moving me to California. I wish he could have been honest up front. "Sorry I messed up your plans" after I told him now I had to call the other mover I had turned down and HOPE they can still move me. "Sorry" does nothing for my life now!!!! Think twice before you depend on them. Now he calls me back yelling at me??? "You're lying" seriously? Why would I have called him to begin with if he was $1000 MORE than North American, Bekins and Mayflower?? No sir you were $1000 less, and said "when I see it I can get you a closer number, it will probably be less" definitely not $2000 more!!!!! read more
