From the moment you step inside, the walls greet you with classic comics, while the glass case and counter is packed with collectible cards and the shelves are packed with graphic novels and surrounded with comic supplies, wall books and new comics on Wednesday just waiting to be discovered. The heart and soul of the shop is Tom--the owner, curator, and local legend who's been at it since 1980. That's 45 years of comics, cards, and stories. Tom's not just a shop owner--he's a storyteller and a welcoming presence who makes every visit feel like catching up with an old friend. I get to stop by once a year to drop off some flyers and snap a few pics, and every time I leave with some new stories and a sense of nostalgia. What really stands out is Tom's excitement for Free Comic Book Day (this year on May 3). He opens up the back room warehouse--a goldmine of comics and collectibles, with boxes filled with decades of comics looking for new homes. It's like walking through comic book history. The last time I visited Toys Time Forgot in Canal Fulton, I literally had to buy more memory for my…read morephone--I took that many pictures. It's just one of those places where the nostalgia hits you like a wave. Every aisle is filled with treasures from your childhood: toys you had, toys you wanted but couldn't afford, and even some you totally forgot existed until they were right there in front of you. I told a friend recently that if I had a million dollars to spend only on toys, I'd still leave that store with a wishlist. It's that packed with incredible finds. They have toys dating all the way back to the 1920s, through the golden eras of the '50s, '60s, '70s, and into the '80s and '90s--the stuff we now lovingly call "vintage" or "retro." From Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Star Wars to Marvel Comics, classic board games, and massive collectible statues, the selection is wild. I'm doing a couple of photo dumps just to show people how deep the nostalgia runs there. It's more than a store--it's an experience. If you're within driving distance, I highly recommend making a day of it. Explore the beautiful town of Canal Fulton, grab some food, and then spend time walking through this amazing shop. Staff are very helpful and polite! Prices are generally reasonable! The store is massive and contains a high variety of items to browse through! We have been here many times and uyfind the right gift or items to purchase . Store is on the end of a large area of stores known as the strip! We highly recommend shopping here we often shop here and in the area! Just off I77 and has a many fabulous restaurants along the road that parallel the freeway! Just a few miles north of Canton!

Anytime I've…read morebought from them, they've always said to stop in their store because they have a huge collection of Funko Pops. When I was finally able to go for a visit, I thought it was cool shop, with a nice little selection of Pops. But then they told me to go to the back room, and I was b l o w n away! Two and a half walls FILLED top to bottom with Pops. I had never seen such a huge selection. I actually bought so much at SGE that they effectively killed a first time visit I'd planned to a another toy shop nearby. They also have super-friendly staff here that made me feel like I was an old friend, even though it was my first time here. If you are a collector of Funko Pops, comic books, vinyl records, action figures, and/or toys...SGE is absolutely worth your time and money. I will definitely be back!

Adam's Action Figures & Comics ( Adam Sabol ) in Rootstown, Ohio…read more Located right off Route 76 and Route 14 in Rootstown, Ohio, Adam's Action Figures is one of those magical places that looks modest from the outside, but once you walk in, it's like stepping into a wonderland of toys, comics, and nostalgia. This shop has something for everyone. I've had the pleasure of watching this shop grow from the very beginning. In fact, I was Adam Sabol's first customer when he opened, and my dollar bill still hangs on the wall to this day. It's been amazing to watch how far the shop has come -- it's a full-blown collector's paradise. Every inch of the store is filled with something cool -- from carefully displayed, carded figures lining the walls to bins and bags of treasure waiting to be dug through. The chaos is part of the charm, and yet somehow everything feels just right. If you're into DC, Marvel, Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, G.I. Joe, Star Wars, or pretty much any toy line that ever meant something, odds are you'll find it here. Adam himself is one of the best parts of the experience. Tons of comics, and a nice selection of Funko Pops. But what really impressed me was their collection of action figures. I love collecting Pops and action Figures. And I could have easily dropped hundreds here. If I had planned ahead and brought more money, I probably would have. If you are an action figure collector, or a comic book collector, this is a great place for you to check out.

This place is really great if you're looking for "their type"...which seemed to be Christian definitely, nationalist maybe...so if you're into that you'll love it. There WERE sections for diverse topics-they were just either empty or nearly so. Maybe a bunch of witchy liberal first peoples recently came through and they haven't recovered? There were whole aisles devoted to Christian books. All in all, not diverse but they do have nice books if you are looking for what they carry.

This shop has two floors packed to the brim with about any kind of book imaginable. An entire children's section, foreign language books, old collectors books, and more. If you wanted to put together a bookshelf full of classics that actually look like classics in worn, brown leather binding you could definitely get your start here. There is every section you expect from a book store. An extensive collection of fiction starting at the front of the store, with classics and nonfiction in the back and upstairs. The children's section is also upstairs. There are a few places where you can sit and read. This being a primarily used book store, you can sell and trade too. Highest dollar is given for nonfiction, with hardbacks being at the top of that list. You can sell your books outright with no obligation to use the money as credit only. However, like with most trade-in places, you will typically get more value if you apply it in credit than if you take it in cash. Absolutely worth a visit, even if you're just looking to browse the day away in town.
