I have now lived in Ohio for about five months now and so far I have not been impressed by the thrift stores they have to offer. One day I took my daughter to this store called The Retro Attic, she was spending some time with her friend. They wanted to do some shopping. They spend about an hour or so at the Retro Attic and that's when I came to pick them up, but before we left I had to look around the Retro Attic. The Retro Attic is a huge thrift store that offer everything from comics, cds, records, retro toys, cloths, sports memorabilia, videos games, and pretty much everything else retro. The store has two levels and every room is dedicated to a different thing. My favorite room was the room dedicated to the Horror Genre, the room had a huge collection of horror stuff like VHS tapes, Horror Toys, Horror T-Shirts, and many more Horror related items. The Retro Attic also has very reasonable prices. If you ever find yourself driving through Akron Ohio area I highly recommend stopping by the Retro Attic, a place where you can buy a part of your childhood.

do not visit this terrible little store. when i told a fellow customer, accurately, that a Frank…read moreOcean record was an "unofficial pressing," the clerk snapped at me after they left, "why say anything?!". he berated me until i put the armload of records i had planned to buy on the counter and walked out. all of this while a springsteen greatest hits comp blared over tinny speakers. on the shelves, there were a few values, because he doesn't know what he has in genres that aren't rock. but i am devoted to going to record stores, and i actually think this was the single worst experience i have ever had, number one.

I…read moresuppose, I looked the other way with their judgement because its a dying thing locally, but that was "whatever" because they are local, had a decent selection, okay price on used items, and would help and find things they didn't have in store; but the last time I came they seemed annoyed at my album choice, used items had considerably increased and I was deemed unworthy for not knowing their promo day . When I went to pick up a order I was bothering them, trying to give them money, and they went against their written policy about loyaltly cards, treating me as though I couldn't read and my money wasn't hard earned. I preordered an exclusive copy of a vinyl record for my son for Christmas in September. The album…read morewas delivered in September. I didn't tear the plastic off of the album as it was a Christmas present. Imagine my son's and my disappointment when he opened the plastic and we discovered we didn't get what I ordered. The album was the correct album but the album was not the exclusive color I ordered. The company is refusing to give a full refund because they have a thirty day policy on returns. It's was pretty apparent to me, based on emails between my son and the company, the company doesn't care about great customer service or the fact that this was their mistake.
