Our daughter plays D1 softball at UNO and her favorite hitting coach has always been Austin. He spent time with her weekly all through high school to help her improve her swing. She tries to get in a few sessions whenever she is in town. Austin is not only a knowledgeable and professional coach but he is a fantastic role model for players, both on and off the field. He always has our kids' best interest at heart and is able to motivate them to always stride to be better and work harder. Let's go!!…read more Lyric has been doing work now with Coach Austin for the fall season with Prevail as well as private lessons, focusing on polishing skills and also creating confidence to back up the athleticism with the mental game that comes with being a great baseball player. Not only has Lyric improved on the field with Coach Austin 's leader ship that has also overflowed into his academics at school and his home life. Lyric and I have a blast running the homework drills that Coach Austin teaches us to do while we're at home so that we can always be working hard and practicing together and it brings us together as a mother and son. They have a bunch of lanes for batting and then they also have a huge turf area where people can workout, practice pitching, and even do some infield drills (space permitting). Staff was very friendly, place has awesome vibe to it, highly recommend. There is a super comfy leather couch section where parents can sit and watch TV and their kids practice too. When I decided not to move forward, the response I received was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Instead of a respectful interaction, I was met with hostility I have not experienced before being told to "go f _ _ _ myself", that I was a "worthless pile of s _ _ _", and a myriad of other derogatory profanity-laced expletives. That alone raised serious concerns for me, especially considering this is someone working with kids. After looking further, I also noticed limited availability with scheduling and a relatively thin background compared to other coaches charging similar or even lower rates. There are many experienced instructors in the area with stronger credentials, better reputations, and far more professionalism. Parents should be very cautious here. Between the high pricing, limited accessibility, and the way a simple interaction was handled, this did not give me confidence that this is the right environment for young athletes. For transparency, I do have a recording of the call documenting the interaction if anyone is interested.

We are very lucky to have found Coach Jack to teach our son basic baseball fundamentals and…read moremechanics. Coach Jack doesn't dive right into the lesson. He instead observes and takes time to understand his students first and then molds his lessons appropriately. He instinctively knows the ins and outs of baseball and we've seen significant progress to our sons baseball abilities. The training/lesson is located in a relatively small unit but we actually prefer it because it creates a very personal one on one experience. Coach Jack will work with you on scheduling for the lessons. We honestly don't know if Coach Jack's rates are competitive compared other baseball coaches but for the lesson your child receives in the amount of time, we think it's great value!
