Right away he found a way to get my son in his comfort zone talking about things other then baseball and before you know it my son wasn't jumping out of the box when he pitched to him. We got in the car after the lesson and my son who did not want to walk in the door when we got there asked "When can I do that again with Coach Brandon?" Bought a Groupon for a two week summer camp for my two boys 10 and 12. What a joke! First they…read moredidn't honor the dates listed on the Groupon. This I found out after multiple attempts of getting ahold of Kim, the program director. Apparently, she is not a big believer in returning phone messages. Second, they did not honor one of the activities promised on their summer camp schedule. I was told due to poor sales the kids would only be participating in the other summer volleyball and soccer clinics for four hours every day. THIS IS NOT WHAT WAS ADVERTISED NOR WHAT I PAID FOR! Also, did not receive the three camp shirts or water bottle listed on the Groupon and on their poster at the front of the center. When I spoke to Kim to complain, I was immediately offered a pro-rated refund. There was no effort to rectify the lack of activities to provided because it was not "cost effective" for them. I spoke to Kim's boss, Darrick, and was told he would try and find a solution to my concerns. This was after a 40 minute phone call with me just asking for ONE activity to be included in the morning activities that was advertised on their Groupon and company website. After another parent called to complain to Darrick (this parent paid the full $350 camp fee) I received a phone call from Kim telling me they were canceling the camp immediately (camp started Monday, this occurred Wednesday) and I would receive a full refund. I asked if every child was being canceled and I was told yes. However, at the time of this review, not every parent received this same phone call. What a lousy way to run your business and a child's summer camp. The promoted product had great promise, but between Kim and Darrick and I will never return to the this center again. And I will certainly spread the word about their false advertising and lack of organization!

In any case, the event turned out pretty fun, according to the guests. The facility was easy to find and just right off the freeway. The indoor sports area was huge and we lucked out and got the whole place to ourselves that day! The play area seemed well maintained and clean, even the restrooms (which is quite important to us). But the reason why this deserves 5 stars was the party coordinator (Gilbert) who was assigned to us. He was awesome...very attentive to our needs. He seemed to know what we needed before we even knew what we needed, like setting up extra tables, chairs, etc and all with a great attitude! It made part of my party planning a lot less stressful. This helped a lot because the caterer we hired (vendor not associated with Smack Center) totally bombed on the food. The enjoyable venue helped improved the experience for us, for sure! Thanks guys!

Our family has known Austin for 5 years. He has coached one of my sons through travel ball in…read moreaddition to weekly private lessons. Our son, now 14, has grown tremendously in all aspects, not just as a baseball player but as an overall athlete and young man. Our daughter plays D1 softball at UNO and her favorite hitting coach has always been Austin. He spent time with her weekly all through high school to help her improve her swing. She tries to get in a few sessions whenever she is in town. Austin is not only a knowledgeable and professional coach but he is a fantastic role model for players, both on and off the field. He always has our kids' best interest at heart and is able to motivate them to always stride to be better and work harder. Austin's positive attitude and leadership is respectable and we truly appreciate how our 3 kids look up to him.

Let's go!!…read more Lyric has been doing work now with Coach Austin for the fall season with Prevail as well as private lessons, focusing on polishing skills and also creating confidence to back up the athleticism with the mental game that comes with being a great baseball player. Not only has Lyric improved on the field with Coach Austin 's leader ship that has also overflowed into his academics at school and his home life. Lyric and I have a blast running the homework drills that Coach Austin teaches us to do while we're at home so that we can always be working hard and practicing together and it brings us together as a mother and son. Coach Austin told me that it was a coach that he had that changed his entire life and his direction with baseball and I truly believe that that has been a game changer here for my son as well and I am very grateful to the skill set and the patience and the heart This guy brings to the table for these kids. Scheduled an hour long session with Rick Jackson for my daughter who is 10 years old and just…read morestarted softball 3 weeks ago with zero prior experience. He jumped right into hitting and corrected her stance, hand, arm, and bat placement. I've played ball my whole life and it was refreshing to hear him explain every detail to my daughter with such patience and she understood what he was directing her to do. After hitting he jumped into the basics of throwing and fielding. After running a couple drills, she was noticeably throwing and fielding with great improvement. We will definitely be back weekly as I am thoroughly impressed with the facility and Mr. Jackson's ability to improve my daughter's skills.
