1 year later I had another sofa completely redone by Hoover. And I have to say he is a miracle worker. I had an old sofa from 1970 , the foam was falling apart, the wood inside was agglomerated wood and the leather was cracking everywhere. Hoover changed everything in an affordable price and very fast turnaround. I could not recommend him enough. Unfortunately I don't have pics of the old look but the new look is fantastic. read more

Hoover did an amazing job with my 2 chairs. Below are the before and after. The original seat was covered with a cheap cloth with very little foam support. I did a work from home day and noticed the seat was beginning to sag, in turn hurting my legs. These chairs were part of a rustic style set. So I thought it would be perfect to redo them in leather since the store didn't offer a leather seat option that would match. I took matters into my own hands and I bought a cow hide/ leather online of the exact color I wanted. I then searched for an upholster online that was close by with excellent reviews & found Hoover. I brought them to Hoover and he did an amazing transformation. He made these chairs look a lot more high-end then they originally were. And a bonus- he got them done in 1 week to my grateful surprise. I was not expecting that at all. Hoover and his partner came out today to help reinstall a button that came out of my tufted sofa. Unfortunately, the original button was pronged and wouldn't go back in. Hoover had a solution. What an awful experience!! The fabric I mailed went missing after it was delivered, communication in general was challenging, and to top it off the bench cushion was made to the wrong dimension specifications. This is bad enough, but the way in which it was handled was appalling and the epitome of awful customer service, Hoover refused to compensate me for the error. I rarely write reviews, but this was such a terrible experience I felt compelled to write as no one should receive this level of service. read more

My 83 year old mother had a recliner for 18 years. After many flawed attempts to replace it we decided to reupholster her old faithful recline. I had a great experience with HC Custom Upholstery. I needed a drawer repaired and checked Yelp to see who was close by. I didn't want to lug the big drawer far to get it fixed. I met Hoover the owner and he showed me around his shop and took a look at examples of repairs he's done in the past. I could tell what I needed from him would be easy for him to do. We came to him with a sagging, well-loved sleeper sofa that we wanted to reupholster. He told us how much fabric we should order and described what sort of work needed to be done.
