I posted on Nextdoor looking for recommendations and a women in the neighborhood that I just moved into recommended DCM as they did her home which is one of the largest homes in our neighborhood. The photos she showed me looked great. The best part...The quote was much less than previous quotes and they refinished my stair railings which the other contractors said they don't do. Because the refinishing quote was so good I got a quote for paint as well. They beat out the paint contractor I selected as well. The team was super efficient. They were at the home early and worked nonstop except for lunch break. There was no standing around chit chatting. They finished my project and did a great job in record timing. There was one inconspicuous spot missed and they came back to fix it with no issues. If you want quality work done at the best price you'll find look no further.

Not only did they complete the job about a month earlier that the agreed upon timeline to finish but they did an excellent job. Additionally, we contracted them to complete our flooring job from a distance as we are currently residing in Texas while they worked on our home in PA. This can normally create hiccups in the process with communication but with Jim at the helm, we didn't miss a bear. He made sure to explain anything we were unsure of and responded to my many emails to ensure we were on the same page throughout the entire process. We trusted him with over 4,000 sq. We called him and asked him to come back and he promised that he would. He never did come back. My daughter called a second time and he said he would come back and he never showed up to install the transition strips. I have tripped a number of times and it is a real problem I would not recommend his company as he does not finish work promised that he would do. We even offered the pay him additionally. Not a call back!

I have had other homes and have had hardwood flooring installed. I can see the difference in lack of experience with the flooring installed by Bethlehem Gallery of flooring. Bob Young, the sales rep., was snarky with his comments right from the start. I ignored his opinionated comments during our initial set up, and went with them anyway. I should have seen that as my red flag!! They accidentally pushed the doorknob of the front door into the sheetrock of the Livingroom. I have not yet moved into this house yet, and have only used the basement entrance thus far. The only people using the front door was the supervisor to drop off the wood earlier in the week and the installers who had the front door open all day to do the work. They claim the hole was already there, but when I did the walk through and inspection, it was not there. I have pictures of the sheetrock and the indent of the hole made after they left. There are noticeable lifts where my feet catch on the uneven planks, because they were not installed flush. There are gaps that were filled in with putty. There was no need for putty on any of my last installs, because there was no gaps. NO GAPS. They were a bit rough with the install and there are noticeable chips and dinks on some of the boards. There are a few places where the 1/4 round molding and transitional boards are missing because they did not estimate enough material to finish it. Also the bedroom ceiling fan light no longer works since they worked in that room. The sales rep responded it was probably because I bought the house without knowing it wasn't working. I find that comment super demeaning!! I was in the bedroom the night before and it worked fine. The supervisor was outside for most of the day, and popped in a few times but was not inspecting as they went, like the installer in NJ. The crew did not speak English, except for one, so when I had questions or comments they did not respond. They did an okay job but not what I expected. This is a very big expense and I wanted it done without imperfections. I had to wipe down the doors with a bleaching agent to remove the black handprints they left after removing and reinstalling the doors. Putty is unacceptable. Uneven planks sticking up is unacceptable.... and annoying to catch your feet on!! I can live with the dinks and chips, but not the snarky comments from the sales rep. I would never recommend this flooring company to any of my friends, family or colleagues now moving to this area! I have had much better installations done, with more experienced installers.. Perhaps they rushed and just got it done to get out of there. The last room they worked on has the most issues of quality. It comes down to customer service and quality.
