I had trouble with Spengler's this past winter wanting to sell me a new furnace when a simple repair was all that was needed, and then on top of it seriously overcharging for replacing a $28 dollar part (I know cause they left the box and I looked it up online, I'm actually pretty ashamed at myself for paying as much as I did and not calling someone else first). I wish I would have known about Smiley's then. Jim and Seth were super nice, taught me how to do my own maintenance, replaced the dead capacitor, and cleaned the unit up. The fee was extremely reasonable and I am extremely happy Jim was recommended to me by a colleague at work. I will do the same recommending anytime in the future.

    Smiley's totally saved us. Our furnace went out during the Arctic blast that brought the coldest…read moretemps in 25 years. The first company we called said the pipes were frozen and that it was the wrong kind of furnace to be in that space. They wouldn't replace the pipes and keep the still working furnace but would only replace the furnace at a cost of $3750. We then called Smiley's at the recommendation of a friend and they came and were more than willing to replace the frozen pipes and wrap all existing pipes in warming tape. Cost to get furnace up and running: $225. Why buy a new furnace when the old one works just fine? Thanks Smiley's.
